  1. I think it depends on whether or not our FO is more focused on gaining draft capitol in this draft or the next. Are looking at 3 or 4 picks of lesser value, or 1 or 2 picks of higher value. A team like the patriots have a lot of Day 3 picks, 10 picks in total this year.
  2. I think if we trade back we will take a CB (likely Farley or Samuel) and a OT/OL in the 2nd. I only see us possibly taking a WR in the 2nd if we get an extra day 2 pick out of the trade back. But I do like Elijah Moore.
  3. 4 bold predictions for the Carolina Panthers in the 2021 NFL Draft By Dean Jones https://catcrave.com/2021/04/28/carolina-panthers-4-bold-predictions-2021-nfl-draft/5/ 1. Carolina Panthers will use their first-round pick on Jaycee Horn This will probably come with a trade down, which we will discuss later. But the Carolina Panthers get themselves a cornerback with shutdown potential in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft with Jaycee Horn. 2. Carolina Panthers will draft three offensive linemen It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that the Carolina Panthers need to get better from a protection standpoint. Making the move for Sam Darnold will mean absolutely nothing if they don’t give him enough time to go through his progressions, so it would be wise for the franchise to take advantage of a deep draft class for offensive linemen. 3. Carolina Panthers will take a WR within their first three picks Scott Fitterer has been telling anybody who will listen that the Carolina Panthers are going into the 2021 NFL Draft with a view to selecting the best prospect available on their board. This luxury is normally more associated with contending teams with little in the way of problems that need solving. But although Matt Rhule’s men are nowhere near this standard yet, settling for less upside just because it fills a need is not something the general manager is going to consider. 4. Carolina Panthers will trade with the Patriots Much will depend on how the draft plays out in front of the Carolina Panthers at No. 8 overall. But if the San Francisco 49ers do end up taking Alabama’s Mac Jones at No. 3 as expected, then all hell is sure to break loose in the immediate aftermath. Post your draft predictions below.
  4. People were saying that if Mills stayed another year at the college level he would have been a 1st round talent. Still not high on bruh. Think we shouldn't grab a QB unless its in 1st round or UDFA. But that's why im in here for free and not in the FO making big bucks.
  5. Great post, definitely a lot to think about. A lot of our off-season pickups shifted our selection at 8 to more of a WANT pick than a NEED pick. meaning... BPA baby!
  6. I don't think you trade down with denver to allow them to get a QB. I think we allow another team like NE to grab a QB so that Denver is pushed to trade for teddy (if it doesn't happen prior to the draft like some are expecting). Lol just some poo to think about.
  7. I literally don't see us drafting anything but a LT at 8. This team doesn't care about "sexy" pickups. They have made it clear that they want to build a roster.
  8. I think you gotta look at it from a L standpoint 1) If we traded all that draft capital for a higher pick to grab a QB this year and he ended up being a bust, we would be adding at least 1-2 rebuilding years. 2) If Sam Darnold is a bust (like he has been), we were able to draft BPA with picks we kept and are still in a better position (than last year) even without a franchise QB. Our FO understands that we have to build a complete team and they've done a pretty good job so far. The moves may not be perfect but they were solid moves that will move this team in the right direction.
  9. I will say I wanted a QB up until we traded for one. I think the team had a love/hate with every QB option we had in the sense of loving the QB, but hating how we would have to go about getting him.
  10. Personally, I am against drafting a quarterback. Because it will feel just like the Jets. As soon as Sam plays like poo, the fans will be screaming for the rookie. But I would pull a Kansas City and sit Justin all next season IFFF we were to draft him. But I am not for us drafting a QB. Answer: no
  11. Yeah I just don't see us drafting Lance just to have two project QBs on the team. Now you could definitely argue the case for justin fields. Butttt.... like majority of the comments here, just my opinion
  12. 1. Pitts (Draft OL in 2nd) 2. Best OL available (Sewell/Slater) 3. Trade back if 1 and 2 aren't there at 8 I do not want or see a trade up after the Sam Darnold trade.
  13. Chin... Chins... Double Chin.. Jeremy Chinn... I think they're on to something
  14. The only way I am not going LT with the 8th pick is if Kyle Pitts is sitting there waiting to hear his name
  15. I think too many people are looking at this as a "Bears" type move. Yes it has a hint of desperation but remember that we aren't a QB away from being a contender. This was a safe move to build the entire roster through the draft. We already ruined the relationship with teddy so there was no way he was QB1 heading into week 1. Sam will most definitely improve his numbers... now it may not be by much but he is stepping into a much better situation. That being said.. he is just a better looking placeholder if you ask me, but if he winds up being more than that then our FO did a great job!
  16. Best Case: Fields/Wilson Most Likely: Lance Worst Case: Darnold This is the way I see it at this point.
  17. That had to be a record for most poo reactions on an initial comment
