  1. I'm not surprised by this rating. We were rated lower last year, this is an improvement. And according to PFF, we swapped out for the very worst QB in the league and added the two worst olineman in the league to the left side. With Erving and Eiflin on the left and Sam under center, we are essentially giving the finger to pff.
  2. Ranking the NFC South DTs: Where does Panthers’ Derrick Brown fit? (usatoday.com) " seeing as though this 6-foot-4, 320-pounder was a steady force over much of his seven-year tenure in Tennessee. In addition to a solid 2021, Jones had the grinders at Pro Football Focus on notice, as he marked out for at least a 72.0 grade in three of the four seasons prior. He also registered as the fourth-best pass rusher out of the nose tackle spot in 2020 and, as a sweet bonus factoid, did not commit a single penalty over 799 snaps in 2019."
  3. Not bad. Not bad at all.
  4. I don't know if I'd describe our speculation as educated.
  5. And when he did play injured he didn't play well. He didn't even look good last year.
  6. I know he's big, but he's surprisingly mobile. He dropped in the draft because he looked so bad at combine and senior bowl because he gained so much weight. He's been cutting, hopefully he'll get down to a good playing weight. If you read the draft reviews they say he can move.
  7. Tall order. A lot of things have to go right. Its a tough schedule. I'm guessing 8 wins.
  8. Lathon exceed 11 sacks ONE time, anywhere, in a 9 year career. ONE TIME By your rules, he was good only ONE year. OK I'm done here.
  9. You said he sucked his first two years. He didn't have 11 sacks. Make up your mind.
  10. No I'm serious. There are professional people who can help you. Get help.
  11. Lathon exceed 11 sacks one time. his 7th season. Guess he was bad all but one year. I'm not checking the rest. By your own criteria nearly everyone sucks every year but JP.
  12. Comparing the first 2 seasons of each one to Burns: Lamar Lathon- fewer sacks and FF Kevin Greene fewer sacks and FF Greg Hardy fewer sacks and FF Mike Rucker fewer sacks and FF Charles Johnson fewer sacks and FF Sometimes it wasn't even close. Julius Peppers Brian Burns is no JP. No one is. You're just trolling.
  13. False. DPOW 16.5 sacks, 4 FF. CJ was a great player, and was great at his peak, but his early numbers were not that good. Patently false. Burns had 9 sacks last season his 2nd year. CJ didn't eclipse that until his 4th year. Burns had 3 FF last year. CJ didn't eclipse than until his 6th year. He's only played 2 years, he's on pace. Now you're just trolling.
  14. Like from that video Bucks sign Tom Brady: what? Panthers sign Teddy Bridgewater: WHAT? Luke Kuechly retires: AHHHHH
  15. You mean in the top3 rounds? Initial Thoughts + Grades on Carolina Panthers Draft Pick OL Deonte Brown - Sports Illustrated Carolina Panthers News, Analysis and More
  16. I agree. Moore has to beat out someone at camp. If its close and between Moore and Little, you take Moore. Moore can play center.
  17. When talking oline, an additional factor is flexibility. Little can only play LT.
  18. Hey have you heard? PFF doesn't like our oline. The listing lists BC at LT with a 95* pff btw. Even PFF doesn't trust PFF.
  19. NFL roster rankings for all 32 teams for 2021: Strengths, weaknesses and X factors for every team's starting lineup | NFL News, Rankings and Statistics | PFF Biggest strength: Brian Burns Biggest weakness: The left side of Carolina's offensive line (surprise!) X factor for 2021: Sam Darnold 2021 Panthers OFFENSE DEFENSE QB Sam Darnold (58.4) DI DaQuan Jones (68.0) RB Christian McCaffrey (86.5*) DI Derrick Brown (61.0) WR DJ Moore (79.1) EDGE Brian Burns (76.8) WR Robby Anderson (75.1) EDGE Yetur Gross-Matos (54.7) WR Terrace Marshall Jr. (78.9**) EDGE Haason Reddick (72.8) TE Dan Arnold (61.7) LB Shaq Thompson (49.8) TE Tommy Tremble (77.9**) LB Denzel Perryman (83.3) LT Brady Christensen (95.9**) CB Jaycee Horn (78.4**) LG Pat Elflein (48.0) CB Donte Jackson (70.4) C Matt Paradis (63.4) CB A.J. Bouye (55.6) RG John Miller (61.2) S Jeremy Chinn (59.0) RT Taylor Moton (81.6) S Juston Burris (55.3)
  20. If Moore goes to the practice squad, he'll be gone. He plays center too. Great post by the way.
  21. If that was the only data point, I'd be more supportive. Unfortunately, he looked really bad in preseason too. Just every time he took the field, it was bad.
  22. We kept 9 last year for the 53. 72 Taylor Moton T 75 Cameron Erving T 60 Pat Elflein G 61 Matt Paradis C 70 Brady Christensen T 78 Trent Scott T 67 John Miller G 77 Deonte Brown G 68 David Moore G ----------------- 65 Dennis Daley G 74 Greg Little T To keep Little, you have to drop Moore or Brown. I think that would be a mistake. If we keep 10, maybe Little beats Daley.
  23. His contract pay is G or RT money like Jesse Davis at G , Zach Banner RT and Brandon Shell RT. On paper, Erving at LT looks scary. He did look better in Dallas, so maybe we feel we can coach him up.
