100%. It flies under the radar given all his other blunders, but the Miles Sanders' contract was atrocious, and it only looks worse after a year.

2015 was insane with the amount of non-Panthers fans coming here to try to talk poo... it's hard to overstate how fun this board was... Now, it's just our own "fans" attacking anyone who dares not be overwhelmingly negative...

And to your 2nd point, Bryce doesn't deserve another season?  So, the book wasn't written on CMC after 1 season, but it is on Bryce?

All this talk about Centers misses the point IMHO.  We have massively upgraded the overall quality of this unit.  That is the most important thing.

Other than Icky (who certainly has the potential), every other lineman is a proven starter in this league.

So while I understand the question about Center somewhat, to me it's a bigger deal that we are actually putting guys who have proven they can start out there over a wing-and-a-prayer type players like we've seem to have done for many years now.

I think the overall quality and depth is much better.  They still need to prove it on the field, but I'm not that concerned about moving Corbett to Center.

As we gave out over $100M guaranteed to linemen this offseason... that's not neglect.

I wouldn't be surprised if we ended up keeping 4 RB's with the new kickoff rules with Blackshear being the primary KR.

Canales has said over and over that he intends to run the ball, and then run it some more.

Brooks is the best RB prospect in the class, and it is a need.

We may never have a RB quite as dynamic as CMC again, but Hubbard, Sanders, & Brooks is a quality group.

We should be able to get production from that group if the Oline does their jobs.

Would have loved to have had him back here (bought his jersey for me and my sons), but just ultimately glad he didn't end up in Atlanta.

Reddick is chronically underrated...

I'm feeling like we have upgraded the run defense with signing Robinson & Jewell, but pass rush is still a massive chasm right now.

Hopefully we sign at least one OLB tomorrow

Tackling is what Josey is being signed for.  Let Brown & Robinson eat up the blockers and let Josey go to work.

Certainly not as versatile as Luvu, but hopefully a great fit for what Evero is wanting him to do in this scheme.

Underrated observation.  Tuttle did the best he could, but he is not a good fit for the amount of snaps he took at nose.

100%.  And while I wanted to keep Burns (wanted to keep Luvu even more), Brown & Horn are the 2 most elite players on this defense.  And Brown is the only one that has been able to stay healthy.

Burns is a good player, and the Panthers bungling of trading/paying him is a generational goof, but he's not the game changer Brown (and a healthy Horn) are.

Burns certainly does things in spurts that are amazing, and he is a legit pass rusher, but he hasn't been great against the run, and he didn't take over games the way you would hope a guy making $30M a year could.

If Horn can stay helathy

100%.  Especially if Horn is healthy and we can put him on an island some to free up blitzers.

I know it's hard to be positive about anything right now, and Horn has been injured a lot, but his play last year when he was on the field is impossible to deny.  

He will be a Pro-Bowler if he can just stay healthy.

I like this signing a lot.  It really will help Derrick Brown be even more dominant not getting double-teamed every play.

Obviously, pass rush is a massive question mark, but in the words of John Fox, "it is what it is."

I don't know that we are fixing that in one off-season especially with losing Burns & Luvu

I like your optimist, I genuinely do.  Probably just getting older and more cynical, but IMHO from my experience in the business world, someone like Tepper will not be able to ever give up control.

B/c I honestly don't.  Trading away players like CMC, Moore, & Burns for peanuts and then squandering those draft picks (up until this point) has been the "gameplan" so far under Tepper and it's produced the worst results in the league over the past 5 seasons.

I have avoided most things Panthers-related for months to protect my mental health and sanity.

I have watched David Tepper destroy the one sports team I have truly ever been emotionally invested in.

To the point I'm not renewing my PSL's after 18 seasons.  My sons could care less about the Panthers- I can't blame them.

I bought my boys CMC jerseys- gone

I bought my boys DJ Moore jerseys- gone

I bought my boys Brian Burns jerseys (both 53 & 0)- gone

My last name is Thomas... maybe if I buy Ian Thomas jerseys, we'll finally get rid of him???

We been to 25 home games over the past 5 season.  We won 5, and most of those were ugly.  Many of them weren't even that competitive.  I couldn't even bribe my boys to go the games over the last half of the season, and I couldn't even give them away (except for big market games).

So much wasted money chasing sunken costs for a team/owner that refuses to reciprocate.  And I don't really care about the money at this point, but I have come to the realization I'm just numb after watching this franchise make so many self-inflicted mistakes (and then compounding them).

I've also realized as I've gotten older that being good at one endeavor absolutely doesn't mean you will be successful in something else.

David Tepper has obviously won at capitalism (and in the financial markets), but it is not an overstatement to say he has been the worst owner in US professional sports since he bought the Panthers.

And it's not any one thing- every franchise makes mistakes.  But beyond making awful singular decisions, Tepper has doubled & tripled down on every one of them, and here we are.

This is light years worse than at the end of the 2001 or 2010 seasons.  And this goes so far beyond the on-the-field product.  I've never, ever remotely felt this apathetic, and I know I'm not the only long-term & hardcore fan that feels this way.

Anyone who looks at my post history can tell I'm generally an optimist and a homer, but I can't feel anything at this point but numbness & apathy.

I never, ever could imagine this team being so mismanaged.  Tell me I'm not alone.

I've avoided the Panthers for the most part since the end of the season, but I looked online just in time to see we let Luvu walk and gave Burns away for a P&J sandwich... it's just too much...  the abyss seems to never end... 

And we haven't even gotten to draft season (where we will be mercilessly- and rightfully- skewered again).  I'm just so incredibly tired of being embarrassed as a Panthers fan.  Only apathy seems to help at this point, so I should disconnect again.
