Bryce Young is not even in same universe with those named Mills and Smitty.  Mills and Smitty showed promise from the start and had hearts of lions. Pillows is soft spoken and quiet.  Bryce yells with his hands over his mouth because he doesn’t want to be too loud.

Mills was released from the Browns after his first preseason.  Then he went to Canada and was released before the season began there.  He became a photography teacher before his next chance in CFL

Do you think all of our WRs should have the same skillset?

We got Johnson who is supposed to be the shifty WR and probably has more upside than Renfrow.

We also have Thielen who is basically an old Renfrow.

Do we need more Renfrows on the roster? I dont really get the love for the dude, he has one season over 1k yards with 9 TDs and a bunch of meh seasons. Dude hasnt topped 400 yards in 2 seasons.

He's a Clemson fan. That's all there is to this.

I don’t know how well this metaphor will land but I’ll try:

Building an NFL player is like the 90s era import tuning where an owner purchases a Honda Civic with hopes of modifying it to take on faster cars (mustangs, Camaros, corvettes, etc.) the engine is rebuilt to handle forced induction, and the body is build to support the added power aerodynamically. The owner might even strip the interior down to reduce weight, or add weight to increase traction. The car is taken to the drag strip to take on the cars mentioned above where it may beat them in a race. However, the owner of that modified civic forgets that those cars can be further modified, whereas the civic is already maxed out.
    Bryce is that Honda civic.

A lot simpler to say he's small

Qb’s are overvalued like rb’s have become. Only a handful are worth breaking the bank for, we saw Flacco come in from a temp agency and carve it up because of a great OL and Copper/Njoku. With defenses going smaller and faster, a good OL will completely wall off the qb and create mountain pass rb lanes.

Huh? Running backs ore underpaid whike qbs are overpaid.

It’s just whenever I see people list of what a certain QB needs, like Darnold, to be successful I role my eyes.

Because I immediately think, “Okay, say he does get that perfect, or close to perfect situation, will he start sucking again if we have a year where we don’t have all he needs?”

I just think a first round QB can make anything work. Like Cam. Dude was making lemonade out of lemons since he first got here.

I am willing to call 2023 a mulligan and hope Bryce improves greatly. But he will never have a perfect situation and is going to need to make something out of nothing. Like all franchise QBs do.

Cam had Smith, Olsen, Shockey Stewart, Williams, Gross, Kalil when he first got here

He didn't bullet anything into anywhere. Most of those passes he either dropped into the bucket or they were underthrown.

Maybe you are unaware but you can click on the embedded Twitter videos to go to the original. There are more clips after the ones shown here. Everyone is focused on the negative but then the same guy is showing positive plays as well of him hitting tight windows.

I'm talking about on any team. I keep hearing that but have yet to see an example. The last high flying offense I've seen was the Rams "Greatest Show on Turf". Since then it's been just average for passing offenses across the league.

That Rams offense has been topped like 10 times since then even before a game was added. Even the Rams have outscored that Rams

My concern is he iffers zero threat with his legs either

he isnt exactly nifty in the backfield or at breaking tackles

i want to believe.  I really really do

but i just cant see how

I wouldn't say zero. He lead all QBs in yards per carry. 10th in qb first downs.

What are you basing that on?

Could be. Can't put anything past Tepper and his need for validation. He and Morgan and desperate to salvage the pick. But if things get at all as bad as last season on offense their hand may be forced.

Teppers need for validation hasnt prevented previous Tepper pet projects from being cutshort coaches over his ownership. It's been the most obvious characteristic of his tenure.

I don't remember hearing much if any at all doubts about Joe's arm talent.

Caleb Williams as much poo as people talk about him no one is worried about his arm.

And neither were sub 6 foot QB's to boot.

When you're an outlier amongst outliers physically and you refuse to participate at the combine you better walk on water as Bill Parcells said.

Arm strength is the first negative listed on every draft profile for Burrow.

You gotta win at least a little bit in the genetic lottery to be over 200 lbs at the height of a toddler and look like Kyler.

Average height of American male is 5'9". He's not toddler height he's above average. Being short by professional athlete size doesn't make one toddler height.

I like supporting this guy, true fan working hard to provide us content.

It's actually thoughtful and thorough. Stands out from the standard youtube patterns of speech and speaking without saying anything

Is anybody else worried about the optics of this? Like damn they chose to sign with us as UDFA and they just get cut after two practices? I think UDFA agents may use this against us in the future

Not at all considering every team is doing it or will when they have their rookie mini cams.
