Nevermind. Looking at the players taken just after it's terrible.
But one content creater cant believe every teams advocate at same time
-
If that guard is as good as expected and Hunt could be traded its not terrible

It's why I hated the Butler and Shaq picks. When we made those picks, DT and LB were probably our strongest position groups and we looked past huge needs to make luxury picks for depth and future development. Now if we'd drafted guys who developed into perennial All Pros, all good. But that's kinda what you need to justify those types of luxury picks. Some would argue that Shaq justified it. I wouldn't. Just because we ended up paying him like an All Pro doesn't mean he was an All Pro (note: he wasn't). Butler was an outright bust which makes it a really tough pill to swallow for a luxury pick.
Drafting Chris Jones would have been fantastic there. Butler was just the wrong pick.
With Thompson the good players that were taken shortly after were guard and DT. Same logic would say they weren't good options.

The contradiction is that if you dont believe in drafting for depth means you don't believe in drafting best player which means you are drafting for need only. I assume hes just speaking in generalities because they aren't going give away their thinking now.

Imagine being tasked with writing 7 round mock drafts. These people dont give a poo. Its space filler.

Not based on the only things we know so far which is visits.
Way too early to know though.
It sounds like Canales mouth is just moving to hear his own voice. Thankfully Morgan and Tillis seem to be more thoughtful in their approach.

In need of sleep I finally got around to listen. As evidence of how boring these guys are I am the 253rd viewer on YouTube.

Hes locker room trash
Im in no way advocating for him. The post I was responding to seemed to imply all of Purdy's targets suck and he made them who they are. Purdy is much better than the Huddle wants him to be and he has also had good players around him. Kittle, CMC, Ayuk, Jennings are no slouches and Deebo had by far his best year with Garoppolo not Purdy.

I have yet to experience the level of insomnia it would require to listen to these two talk.

i think its kinda funny everyone was talking on here about purdy sucks and he has the best wrs and fast forward turns out all his wrs were pretty much trash. still has an amazing te rb duo but purdy has proven to be a top ten qb in the nfl could be a top 5. he pretty much had no one this year was injured alot and still 2nd best qbr in the nfl.
Deebo still had a decent year given the QB situation. Hes not trash.

What is going on? That is the third player that had a longer arm length than the combine. That is either players gaming their proday or someone messed up at the combine.
Id think its certainly Pro Day" home field advantage".

I cant muster the energy to care about anything written about a team in March.
The constant list making is so boring.

Yeah but regardless your 1st round pick would be a depth player year 1.
I personally dont care at all about that. Like Mccaffrey and Thomas Davis and Burns and Stewart and D'Angelo. What matters is the career.
But chances are, like I said, they start a good number of games.

It would be tough to draft a non starter in round 1, but the benefit down the road would be nice...
The chances are that start games. We had different starters almost every week on the OL last year

Loyd asset, Phillips asset, Morigh asset, Warton asset, Bobby brown III, you spent over 100 mil on Jayce. Flip to the offense some guards.. you haven't spent on offense or really drafted anyone outside the first round picks. leggette was a bad pick so just throw that in the trash and yes the offense is still worse than the defense. I know how much you all love defense.
But the fact is the defense is in much better shape than the offense... You have legit 3-4 players who have been or could make the pro bowl on defense.. on offense.. maybe tet? And one of the 2 guards. So yes offense needs more firepower to get over the hump no matter what you think about Bryce.
If offense you grab your RT of the next 10 years not a TE in name only.

I would be less skeptical of drafting Sadiq in the first if he was a Gronk, Witten, Warren type or a prolific pass catcher. Combine isnt enough to rate him over the trenches for me.

McMillan/Coker down the stretch, healthy, combined for ~45% target share. Our RBs accounted for ~12-15% combined. So you've got around 40% left between WR3-4 and TE1-3 all divid up marginally and dependent on matchup. That's a huge chunk left that another real receiving weapon would help tremendously.
Not opposed by any means. Especially if that means said TE could play slot like Kittle. Guys like LaPorta and Hockenson do so as well.
The nice thing about Saddiq is his proven ability in both slot and in-line. It's what BAL always envisioned for Likely that hasn't happened yet.
So it gives you a guy who can play there while you can throw in Tremble/Evans in-line. Also allows us to play 13 more which opens up the run game. He could really open up the offense overall which you need w/Bryce.
And then it puts less pressure on needing to find the dynamic/shifty guy we've always pined for since Smitty left.
That being said, I'm not buying any reports after last year haha.
We aren’t obligated to adhere to last year's target distribution ratios.

1 year ago he was broadcasting our interest in Jalon Walker. He's either in the dark and guessing or doing work for Morgan again.

They all played double the average NFL career if not more. Thielen quadrupled it.

If this situation unfolded I would trade back with a smile. Numerous great options there.

Taking a 6'8" tackle with a 5'9" QB just seems like a bad idea
Drafting based on height of 1 player sounds like a beyond horrible idea. We already had a 6'7" tackle

I like Morgan's approach but I'll wait for a few winning seasons before giving too much praise.
