Well.....I will look for positives but try not to claim anything definitive and get caught up in arguments

Indeed. No idea what I was looking at there. 237 is ILB weight.
I think it was 220 early in his time at UK

I believe some here interpreted the idea he has size and tighter hips to mean he is a bad route runner. I can't find anything saying he is bad at route running.
The most negative things i find say he will need to further develop route tree. But that there was generally positive things to say about his vertical route stem and indications he could build on the more precision route concepts.

There is absolutely no defending the Wallace pick. None. It was an INCREDIBLE reach based solely on athletic traits. Most boards had him between 150 and 234. We took him at 72! SEVENTY TWO!!!
Depending on which board you follow, there were at least six or more LB'ers rated higher than Wallace on the board when we drafted: Payton Wilson, Trotter Jr, Cedric Gray, Jordan Magee, Nathaniel Watson and Curtis Jacobs.
Boards are meaningless. The respected sources were high on him.

Not at 220 lbs he won't, and they won't put weight on him if they need the speed.
He's 237.

I think we're more likely to find a backup C option later in the draft than we would get potential impact rotational (if not starters) at other positions with this first pick in the 4th.
Take a CB, TE, Edge/LB, and they have a better chance at contributing this year than if we take a Center, who we can take later and/or look to pick up a training camp cut as a backup.
Is contributing this year the primary goal at this point? Or building a roster ?

If they take a center it would help one would think.
The Georgia center is ripe for the picking if we want him

I think people are judging every pick like it's a top half of first rd selection.
3rd rounder will not have immaculate draft profiles and need some developing

I would be a lot more excited about different selections but that doesn't mean these guys won't be good

Actually, the weaknesses in his draft profile (avoiding blocks and needing to play with more passion and energy) says not a dawg. If you think Kuechly was a dawg, Wilson is probably your guy.
Linebacker is a defensive position. The goal of a linebacker is to avoid blocks.

They most certainly do.

Im not interested in years of one and outs in the playoffs. Thats no better than years of 5 wins.
We can make the playoffs but then we dont have a snowballs chance in hell of advancing.
We may as well be the Dak Cowboys or Cousins Vikings.
From 2-17 to pre-emptive whining about making the playoffs

It's April. Kinda early to know

I was surprised at how overwhelmingly the pick was considered a good one.
It's really just like 5 people here shitting on it.
I wasn't a big fan of it but I'm not going to repeat myself over and over like the few.

How often do these extremely raw route runners coming out of college work out?
DK Metcalf off the top of my head.
Justin Jefferson
2 I know who had route running listed as negative coming out.

DO NOT REPEAT DO NOT TRADE DOWN, big drop at 40.
Nah....this lost alone would take you through 44 and that's assuming only these guys are drafted

No.
Either we give them a record breaking deal early (CmC) or we wait until the 5th year and trad them for less than their value (Burns).
Or get extended upon completion of 4th year after the team has exercised the 5th year option like Moore and Brown.

Well the Rams finally got their edge rusher from Florida State. They got to keep two future 1st rounders too.
Too soon?
They used a first to get him.

Who are the day 3 prospects you want to see us target?
in Carolina Panthers

My concern is injury. I don't doubt he can be at least serviceable.
Corbett is the only viable option on the roster and coming off 2 knee injuries. I don't believe you can ever rest on your laurels when it comes to OL.
I don't think anyone would be cool with assuming the Duke guard can be a starting C from the get go.
