With the Pelicans fighting others to get to Scoot and the Hornets smitten with Miller... I had to do some research. Looking into the potential of getting Brandon Ingram and Trey Murphy and pick 14 sounds like something I'm warming up to.  Trey Murphys game has Miller written on it and I think his upside is on par with some solid 2 way wings. I say Gordon, Terry (allows us to get out  both contracts  and give McGowan more burn)and pick 2 for Ingram, Murphy and pick 14. Possibly even bring Jose Alvardo in for a backup pg too.  That's give us a starting lineup of

Ball Ingram Murphy Miles/Pj and Mark Williams. Easily one of the top starting 5s in the East.  Take a look at Murphys Game for those who don't watch him. A high flyer with  1 of the highest 3 point percentages in the NBA last year.

I would be shocked if Shai is available.

He was initially  about a year ago! Well when they kept getting younger, it was mentioned a bunch. I'd be shocked too but with a prospect hot name like Scoot... with Williams Giddy n Chet on the docket... itd be worth the shot. PJ(sign), Terry n 2  for Shai and 14. Depends on if Okc thinks they can win now. Giddy is a guy that could definitely  dominate the ball.

  3. Shams said that there are a few teams trying to get to 2 as the Hornets set their draft board. With so many teams firing coaches this year, interesting to see what multi team trade stuff comes out in the next few days. Quite a few teams could blow it up. I say we talk to OKC for Shai(should've kept) since they have Giddy and a bigger youth movement.

Zion would be a no brainer if he could stay healthy. Melo on the fastbreak with Zion sheesh!

I just don't think his body will allow him to ever be healthy. Dude is freak athlete but he carries too much weight it's hurting his joints every time he lands.

Yeah I can't get behind Zion bc of that contract n health! In a perfect world they'd run things but I feel you on Ingram. I like Ingram  but he would have to checkout health wise too. Saw articles that teammates  were mad he missed so much time last year. When he played... he was a fantasy stat machine.

  5. Whew.... I didn't even know he did all that!! I keep forgetting about other pieces we added like Vonn Bell and Rowe too!! We have playmakers from front to back now and I think Luvu could very well cause havoc along with Chinn(moving closer  to the line) and others!! All that said to say, yes he got snubbed by looking at the other guys stats.

When you have A young team and you get a top 2 pick in a draft with more than one franchise player how many times have you seen a trade for a older vet? I will wait...mj is not calling shots like that with draft picks. Its mitch, we arent talking about trading a late lottery pick here, so yes i will stand behind that.

Well this situation  is different... we are the hornets and MJ has overruled gms before.  They got national insiders who have mentioned we are exploring who we could get for the 2nd pick. Mitch has stated he doesn't see any big moves way back... so who/what is the reasoning?? It's MJ trying to see what he could get before he makes up his mind on selling his portion of the team away. There is no way around it. I'm not saying they will trade  the pick but MJ is a gambler and if he in his mind think he could get a win now trade... he is going to override Mitch and do just that!

So far the rumors have us favoring Miller over Scoot based on the rumors from the combine.

I always said once we work these guys out in Charlotte is when we can start taking these rumors more seriously. I seriously think whoever has a better workout with us will be the guy we pick.

That's what they say Mitch is hung up on but I wish we'd stick with gametape. I know a few guys that could kill a workout but couldn't play good team ball.  If Miller  is healthy (lost 15 pounds due to Mono) then him and Scoot will both have great workouts probably  but the 3 ball will be Miller's calling card.

Im curious did you hear that Lavine/Derozan rumor from a YT podcast?

That is kind of scary knowing MJ. Isn't one of them a Jordan brand athlete?

I  heard it on a podcast and then I went to Google  Chicago Bulls and saw a few articles about Chicago  starting over and trying to get into the top 5 of the draft. Then it mentions they have only met with Scoot n Miller so far I think... which lends me to believe they have 2 and 3 as their targets so far.

Yeah and this is what scares me. MJ could be star hunting just to sell some tickets.

Zach Lavine would be exciting with Melo but that move makes us a 7th/8th at best.

Klay Thompson is washed and won't be the same player he once was.

Jaylen Brown can't dribble and is about to be paid a supermax. No thanks!

    Just draft Miller/Scoot.

I completely  agree!!! MJ dragging his feet is a clear sign!!  Draft a stud and have that rookie contract!

It makes no sense to go after any of those guys none of them make us a contender or even a top 5 seed. No thanks.

Trust me... im all for Miller or Scoot but this is the Hornets with a MJ scared to quit and Clifford loving vets.... I hope we don't but no telling.

  11.

Now this pops up and I think this has to do why MJ hasn't sold yet too. I know he was waiting on Wem but I think now they are fielding calls to see who they could possibly get in the trade market. I've seen Chicago has  worked out both Scoot n Miller. I have no idea what we will do but we will not draft 5 guys obviously  and do we go after Lavine n Derozan... Klay n Kuminga.... Jaylon Brown and Brogdan....

The interviews will be huge for Miller.  Hopefully there is genuine remorse and maturation on his side.  Bringing a gun to a teammate is a bad decision, but the two people directly involved in the death of this person are being punished as they should.

Everything  I've read contrary to some reports say just that. Wow said he has been pleasant and so forth. I'll say this much, I consider myself a humble and respectful  man. I would hope that nobody judged me by a hiccup at 18 years old. If someone has a pattern of bad behavior, I understand  and I'm sure the front office will do the homework.

Brandon Miller scores more points than Scoot and according to you he's doesn't have the work ethic as Scoot.

That right there tells me who has the higher ceiling. One guy can get 40 in his sleep. The other guy has never seen 40 points all last season.

Miller gives me a PG/Tatum/Ingram vibe. If he can already shoot imagine when he cleans up the little things like ball handling and strength. You looking at another high scoring elite wing talent.

He gets knocked bc he has that effortless type game! When people compare him to Horry or Jabari... its absurd. Jabari has always been mechanical  in his play. Horry was a spot up shooter.  Brandon has shown he can handle the ball efficiently  and pass. He has the most diverse game of any prospect in the Draft when you consider age/height/talent.  Scoot and Melo having a connection  is cool but Miller would help Mark Williams game be even more dominant. If somehow we keep a starting lineup of Melo Miles Miller Pj(who I don't care if he leaves) and Mark... that gives you great defense 1-5 with switchable  players. On offense it gives you 4 guys who could attack the paint or nail a 3... Mark would become a double double monster due to spacing.

He's actually 6'9 with 2 guard skills. He can play sg/sf and even small ball pf.

Im excited about this kid. I think he's going to be a superstar with that kind of talent. You can't teach that height with his ball skills. His 3pt shot is money. We got a game changer imo!

Oh yeah, I know he could slide right in  to any spot from 2-4 and has shown he can distribute  too. Definitely  a game changer!! He already has the size and will get bigger. Then he could grow  a few inches at that. He would be a  nightmare to guard!

Brandon Miller is the prototypical 6'9 wing with guard skills and is by far the best shooter in this draft.

You put him on the wing with Lamelo and let him stroke the 3 ball.

People haven't been paying attention to the mocks Brandon Miller passed Scoot up months ago.

Lamelo/Miller/Williams is the future of this team now.

Im satisfied with this outcome Miller was always #2 on my board.

I completely  agree!!! That foundation would be so solid!! I'd like to let McGown develop too bc at 6'7 he has some serious  2 guard potential.  I just hope we don't waste money on both Bridges and Pj. Pick one and allow Brandon to step in.  I'd like to upgrade to 1 of these coaches that's fired too.  If Clifford stays and tries to out him on the bench/gleague, I'd throw my hands up!

Nope just social media trying to blame a athlete because he brought his friend his gun.

You can't blame him for something he knew nothing about. All he did was bring his friend his gun. You mad at the wrong guy. The who killed the woman is who you should be mad at.

Miller will be the pick he passed Scoot on the prospect list towards the end of the season.

I could definitely  see a Oden/Durant scenario  here!! When you study Miller's game, he seriously has the style of play Durant had but with more weight. Then... Oden was the generational big but couldn't stay healthy. Sign me up for Miller. I'm sure the phones will be ringing tho for teams needing a guard and wanting Scoot.

TMJ is just about whether his practice abilities will ever translate to the field. Even though he was in a terrible offense last season, he very rarely ever distinguished himself on the field.

We just need to see him do well when the bullets are live. That is what has been lacking.

I think thats part of it. I'd like to see him with a truly legit OFFENSIVE  coaching staff.  There were times no wr looked worth anything during Rhules tenure. I think TMJ is the classic wr that doesn't offer much  special teams and got caught in the numbers crunch.  We will see but if he can stay healthy, I think he may surprise.

  18. I told my friend who is a Jags fan, that TMJ could potentially  cost Chark a starting spot. He was adamant  Chark would steal the spot but he may not be available  until training  camp. If the hype of TMJ catching the coaches eyes are true... I could see him taking a spot and Chark battling with Mingo for the other outside spot. Thielen on the inside and Lavishka becoming our multi guy.

There's a lot of talent playing in the Championship game on Saturday, after which time the players are available for NFL free agency. I expect a lot of teams (and hopefully the Panthers) talk to Abram Smith. I don't think he's an "invite to training camp kinda guy," someone will sign him to a contract.

He looks like a solid second string RB to me, with a nose for the end zone, who could help us out a ton in red zone situations.

He runs very similar  to Foreman to me! Wouldn't mind him at all!!
