FLA showed everyone it’s not about superstars. they bullied the best line in the NHL into obscurity. they played hard, were in the right positions, and ran over everything that got in their way.

Florida has 100% stars across the board.  Maybe not Mcdavid but stars.  Bennett, Reinhart, Eckblad, Thachuk, and Marchand, hell BOB is a Bonafide superstar.  Yes, I know I spelled their names wrong because I'm too lazy to look them up.  Florida is loaded.  But what makes them different is the size and the depth.  Their 4th line is big.  GMET has the blueprint with $30mil to spend.  Go do it!

Are some of the playoffs still on the local networks like fanduel or are they all nationally televised?  At some point I know its on national TV, but I'm not sure if that's the first round.

1st round will still be on FanDuel.  2nd round and beyond will be national networks.

This team right now is a disaster…

    Aho - Jarvis - Blake

    Hall - Kotkaniemi - Stankoven

    Martinook - Staal - Svechnikov

    Robinson - Jost - Roslovic

Stank is a center.  He will likely take Jost's spot.

Necas wasn’t staying, Drury wasn’t staying. Then Mikko’s agent burnt the bridges here in Carolina by trying to get a 13.5-14m AAV contract and when we pitched him around the NHL he realized he wasn’t getting that at all. So they bit the bullet and signed with Dallas for less than Carolina offered him.

That's fine.  Tulsly is still fuging dork and this whole thing is disaster.  They have less than an hour to flip those 1sts for another good player or two.  That is the only way this works.

looks like the Rangers are in big - reported that Moose said he would sign long term with them - as I said before Tulsky didn't vet this before hand and got suckered in to trading Necas and Drury for a player that NEVER wanted to come here.

Tulsky is a fuging dork that got hired for a job he doesn't know.

If the Canes acquire Miller, it'll end up looking just like last year's Guentzel trade. A rental until the playoffs end.

He is 31 years old, in the 2nd year of a 7-year, $8M AAV deal; and after having 3 consecutive years of scoring 30+ goals and averaging over 90 points per season, he's sitting on 8G/24A so far this season. His TOI is down and the Canucks are not done for the season. An outside shot for the playoffs, but they are still in it.

Not real sure why the marriage in Vancouver is failing, but there's a reason he got a 7-year/$56M deal just a little over a year ago.

I dont think its a rental.  We would take over his contract and he would be here to stay.

Why is that?  He seems to be doing just fine running, escaping, throwing.

benching is not good for QBs anyway, way too much risk of hurting your shoulders or impacting your arm flexibility

This.  I played QB in high school and we hardly lifted upper body at all.  It was all core, squats, and legs.    That is where the true power comes from.

Maybe the Canes should trot out the alumni team Wed nite. At least they can score.

We went and It was fun for sure.  But there is something to that game that could be taken to the main team "minus the 200 foot softy that Rice scored" hahaha.  The canes went to the net AND had net front.  Something I don't see us doing hardly any.  Its all permitter.   Btw, Rod looked like he could still play a shift or two if needed.
