If canes keep playing like they are in the second (totally outplaying Preds) we’ll score. Need 3 but a tough goalie.

We’re playing hard now, a little too late. Lots of good shots on net but it’s like we can’t friggin buy a goal. Sure would be nice to have their goalie.

Koochie and all the other players with Canes contracts sent the Wolves affiliate still belong to the Canes is my understanding. The question is who a new affiliate for the Canes might be. Living near Charlotte I would love to see the Canes affiliate AHL come back to the Charlotte Checkers, not sure contract wise if that’s possible though.

Canes swept the Penns but all 4 games were close with 2 OT games. 1 and 1 with Flada with our last game of the season coming against them on the 13th. Toss up I guess but I prefer we play the Pens. But as it stands Islanders and Flada are tied in points for the wild cards so who knows could end up laying the Islanders.

Looks like same lineup as last 2 games except Raanta in net tonight. Rod says they will alternate goalies rest of the regular season.

I agree with both of you guys. I like the idea of a 7 minute 3 on 3 OT, and a 8-10 second clock on the SO, and keeping the same rules for the playoffs.

That was brilliant of Martinook to shoot the puck, he really had no pass and you can see the goalie had his head turned to Aho just sure it would be Aho to shoot it. And just perfect puck placement in the net.

Maybe I’m greedy but I want 8 points however we get them, then it wouldn’t matter if the Devils win all 5 of the rest of their games. Id prefer we get the 8 points with 4 wins out of 6 games to show Canes are in good playoff form but willing worst case to settle for 3-1-2 lol.

Just to put numbers on it, Freddie stopped 21 of 22 SOG, a .955 save percentage. That’s outstanding work.

Only one grade A shot by Islanders and Freddie didn’t stop it. Hope our shots go in next two periods, probably gonna take 3 goals by the Canes to win this one. Canes outplaying Islanders so there’s a chance.
