Mr. Game One declares he’s playing tonight.
Another miraculous recovery two salary cap skirting seasons in a row. Amazing. /sarcasm

I'm not too worried as long as we get a PP or two I definitely remember frenchie has been bad for us in past seasons...
I wish they had a bet available for the Isles PP I'd throw 500$ on them not having a PP goal all series their PP is so enimic.
Careful, beware the CH forum hex when you claim something goods gonna happen lol

Guentzel first goal. But I believe Svech scores in the game at some point.

over/under on the jets avs game was 5.5, 13 goals scored your fairly good if you went with the over lol

Svech, Aho and Geuntzel had little impact, yet we took over at the end. Healthy depth is gonna help a lot this year.
Svech was playing hard and a good game imho, close to getting a goal several times.

Isles finished season on a heater. I’m expecting this series and every series to be a real battle.
May the best Canes win.

He’s tied with Zegres I believe.
You’re right, I didn’t know that. Svech will always be the first to do it in the NHL though.

Guentzel.

Jets beat Canucks 4-2. Canes remain 3rd in the league behind the Rangers and Dallas.

Canucks lead Jets 1-0 in the first, game is on ESPN+.
Jets just tied it 1-1 nice.

I thought Vancouver was legit out of the mix, crazy they are still in it, goes to show what losing game 82 means.
Also fify, “canes play well away against not west coast teams”
I honestly think Rod didn’t think we’d lose 82 because our goalie let in 6 goals…
I’m with you on that I doubt Rod thought it was a throwaway game. Letting two more teams potentially dropping Canes to 4th place in the league is giving up too much on home advantage imho. I will admit I was fooled as well and thought Martin would do ok.
Ill be a jets fan just for tonight lol

Yep Dallas will have home advantage against the Canes if they meet up.
Also tomorrow if the Canucks beat the jets in regulation or OT (excluding shootout) they would also have home advantage over the Canes due to same points but more regulation wins (RW) or regulation overtime wins (ROW).
Canes play well away so I don’t see this as a big factor.

As well as Martin played in his limited opportunities, he looks lost so far. Nerves? Settle in?
I dunno, seems like a long time ago since he last played, hoping he settles in.
