Nobody knows for sure whether or not a QB has the mentality to play in the NFL until they get out there. Patrick Mahomes came out of nowhere. So did Tom Brady. Of course, there's no shortage of 1st round QB picks that didn't pan out.

Receivers LOVE Stroud. He throws with great touch and places the ball perfectly in stride. I don't imagine we'll see another like him in Columbus.

A fair number of people have abandoned their professional fandom based on the behavior of some players. It's difficult to cheer for guys that beat their wives.

Ohio State attracts elite receivers because we run a fun offense wherein they can display their ability. Speaking of, I think Marvin Harrison Jr. is the greatest receiver to EVER play at Ohio State, and that's saying a lot! He's got NFL Hall of Fame written all over him.

Our game was a great one. Michigan could have had a crack at Georgia but they choked. Lol.

I'm a Buckeye fanatic. Sadly for me, I never became a fan of an NFL team. I love the NFL but just never became attached to a team.

To contrast, I wasn't confident that Duane Haskins (RIP) would be able to handle the mental aspects of the NFL. I wasn't sure about Justin Fields either, but I suppose the jury is still out on him. I have high confidence, obviously, in Stroud.

Nothing is. I think Stroud is going to be a very good NFL quarterback. I'm 56 and I've never said that about any Ohio State QB in my 40+ years as a fan.

Hooker came out of nowhere for Tennessee. I love his game but we'll see how it translates to the NFL. With that said, I never thought that Jalen Hurts would make but I was wrong. Even the best NFL scouts sometimes get it wrong.

On another note regarding Stroud, he is very humble, very Christian, and has tremendous character. His one weakness is that he's not much of a runner. As a ball distributor he's lights out.

Stroud's receivers got open and Stroud delivered the ball to them. If your receivers get open, Stroud will get the ball to them too. It's not complicated.

I was simply responding to the claim that Stroud only put up good numbers against lesser competition.

That was before Ryan Day. Urban Meyer called Day the best offensive coordinator he ever had. Day is a QB coach by trade. He's the head coach but, make no mistake, he's also the QB coach. He recruits, coaches, and develops QB'S to play in the NFL. I'm excited to watch Stroud lead your offense. You're going to be impressed with Stroud's ridiculous ability to drop balls into precise locations.

I think Young's style of play is great in CFB but not so much for the NFL. Young will have to rely more on his arm in the NFL and that's why Stroud is the better pick. Stroud is a prototype NFL QB and he will be your QB.

Was a 5-star QB in Pennsylvania. Kyle McCord. He'll be in year 3 and he'll tear it up. Ryan Day was a college QB, coached QB'S in the NFL and implemented a pro-style, pass-first, offense at Ohio State. OSU has had the #1 offense in CFB the past two seasons and were one play away from beating Georia last year for a national title. Stroud's accuracy and touch are second to NONE. You didn't trade the farm to pick a 5'10 baller from Bama. Stroud is the pick and you will be thrilled to have him. Thanks to Ryan Day, he is more than NFL ready.

Not even close. CJ is far and away the best QB prospect in the draft. His accuracy and touch are unparalleled. Watch highlights of Ohio State and Utah in the Rose Bowl and you'll see that CJ was making amazing throws. CJ will be the pick and he's going to have an immediate impact.
