We had no real offensive threat outside of 89. Even with moose,  we had no rushing attack.  Seattle in Seattle that year.  Wouldn't have mattered anyways.

Foster was great that year. I remember him going off vs Atlanta in the last game of the season and vs the Giants in the wild card round.

He does have a small build but he can fly.  I would love Bond in round 2

And he plays bigger than his size. He’s not one of those small receivers that is afraid of contact. He tries to run over defenders and stares them down after. We need that kind of player in the team.

All Texas fans say Golden was the far superior player to Bond. I didn’t watch them play a ton, but I’ll take their word for it.

Why do you think Jayden Higgins doesn’t get separation?

I’m not a college football guy. I’m just going by what the scouting reports I’ve read. Most say he will have some trouble creating separation against top CB’s.

    Higgins or Higgins?

I’d rather draft Jayden Higgins in the 2nd, if he’s still there, than trade for Tee.

They are nearly identical in height, weight, wingspan, and hand size. Comparing Jayden’s combine to Tee’s pro day, Jayden seems to be the faster and more explosive athlete. He’s also known as a savvy route runner.

Plus, we wouldn’t have to pay him near $30mil per year for a while.

We have enough of these wide receivers who have good 40 times but cannot create separation.

If we draft a WR, Isaiah Bond would be my choice. Deep speed, very agile and can create separation. Reminds me of DJ Moore but faster game speed.

Isn't the first pick the easiest?  He chose positions, as a general rule, that were generally successful as rookies because the position did not take time to master--RBs, LBs, etc.  I was never a fan--let's not forget, he tried to trade up with the Rams to get the 33rd pick so he could take Clausen.  And he took Clausen after 2 teams, KC and Minn, who were desperate for a QB passed on Clausen--in rounds one and then again in round 2.  That same draft, he moved up to get Armanti Edwards....He traded away first round picks to get Otah and Everette Brown.  First round magic?

We’ve been spoiled. Plenty of teams have years of failure in the first round.

How the heck did Andre Johnson get in last year?

His most memorable play is beating up Cortland Finnegan.

No wide receiver 5’10’’ or under comes close to the numbers Steve Smith has.

I wish Steve Smith played one more season instead of retiring. 600 more yards would have placed him 4th in career yardage.
