I hear him. But now imagine Steve Smith the player playing with a QB that can't effectively throw a ball on an NFL field more than about 10-15 yards. How patient is that gonna look?
We don’t really know whether Bryce can effectively throw the ball down the field, he never attempts them.

At the end of the day this staff is cheeks but I think we should be able to walk and chew gum at the same time and also note that these failed players Fitterer has traded for just aren't that good. Shenault has value in the run game but virtually nothing as a receiver. Which is why he was available.

Jeff Davidson for offensive coordinator, Shula QB coach. All star staff.

Most can draft in the top 8 with success, i wonder why herniay got good at that.....hmmm
plus a few of them where like peppers everyones pick.
will give credit about cam, think about these teams with locker or gabbert.....hell locker quit a couple years in...
paying RBs&MLBs when the 92% of the league wasnt, unforgivable. I think at one point both jstew and dwill where in the top 5 paid and cap for a few years TOGETHER. waste of resources, that main one...
There have been so many busts in the top 8. It’s not guaranteed you will draft a franchise cornerstone, let alone a good player. Ask Fitterer.
I don’t even think there’s another GM with a 100% success rate in the first round.

Blame Tepper and his analytics style of team building. Football isn’t won by computers or test taking.

The one thing I'll say is both were dealing with mediocre at best coaching. But Newton had the clear phsyical intangibles you seek in a #1 overall pick that allowed him to overcome a great many obstacles including poor coaching at times. We took who we thought was the QB equivalent of Professor Xavier while passing on other QB's with traits that could be making a difference right now.
This Panthers team has one of the greatest coaching staffs ever assembled. Dream team.

It took Ron til 2018 to even convince Cam to take check downs.
We should have had Bryce coach up Cam.

Cam needed to be defended because the media parroted the “thug” narrative out do the gate, and during his career they would always exclude his rushing stats to make him look bad.
Naturally, football “fans” would parrot these things too, including that he only had one good season…smh.
And Cam’s personality made him a “love him on your team, hate him on the opponent” kind of guy.
My dad’s generation always called him a sore loser too.
I always liked that about Cam though.
Bryce so far is the polar opposite if Cam in nearly every way.
So this Cam defender is not a Bryce defender. Bryce was crowned before taking a snap, and now isn’t meeting expectations. It’s not all his fault, but until he produces or shows something worthy of his draft status, I’m not running to coddle him more.
Man I wish we had sore losers on this team. It seems the players have accepted losing!

He’s not as bad as Clausen. Some have forgotten how bad Clausen was. We’ve moved the ball decently with Bryce, it’s just that most drives ends up stalling and we’re not getting chunk yardage.

So many people on here hated Chud. Cam would have been a HOF’er in his offense
Chud went crazy year two and made the read option our base offense.

Exactly. That Chud offense with two TE (including Shockey) played to his strengths and was awesome. Can't believe we literally never even attempted to get that going for him again.
It’s because Tolbert replaced Shockey. We didn’t use a fullback in Cam’s rookie year.

when i watch stroud highlights I see confidence, what I watched today from young was the complete opposite. Kid is in his own head and is gun shy. Looks like Clausen, wienke
Lmao Weinke. I forgot all about that 40 year old rookie.

I'm talking about the coach we hired he's 0-7 since he took over.
The team has yet to see any success with him as HC.
Ohh yeah Rhule is better than Reich lol

The hell with Wilks I'm not even sure if this guy was a upgrade over Rhule.lmao
Counting preseason we haven't won a single game since we hired him.

And guess what...Texans have a DEFENSIVE MINDED COACHED lol...
This board was all about hiring an offensive coach. Dumb because both offensive and defensive coaches have had recent success in the NFL and have looked like poo. We just needed to pick a good coach. Wilks was that guy. He just needed a great offensive OC and a good qb.

Bryce plays like he’s scared to make mistakes. I will say its the best he’s looked and it’s not his fault that the playcalling sucks.
