Yeah the story has changed now. The guys getting manhandled are claiming he was taunting them, which I mean isn’t exactly out of character. Love Cam, but he loves to run his mouth.

Running your mouth Leads to us supporting guys the way meeting poo goes?!

What does an Executive VP of Football Operations do, and how will this help the Panthers put a winning team together?  Does he report to Morgan or Tepper?

They Executively Vice President the operations of football. How this helps the Panthers put a winning team together, i don’t know and no clue who  he will report to.

(Been a long day at work, I couldn’t help it.)

edit: and what @PanthersATL said too lol

I just hope these guys are innovative.  It is crazy to watch us run plays that are outdated and easy to defend.  It's frustrating to watch other teams run some pretty cool plays, and I am not talking gadget plays only, and we run a vanilla offense.

I look forward to Canales getting our O-Line straight with the players we already have and draft a couple of weapons for Young.  He sorely needs them.

    Completely agreed!

    https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/39422716/sources-brad-idzik-panthers-oc-call-plays

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- New Carolina Pantherscoach Dave Canales is hiring a familiar face as his offensive coordinator, but that person won't be calling the plays.

Brad Idzik, who followed Canales from the Seattle Seahawks to the Tampa Bay Buccaneersto coach wide receivers last season, will again follow Canales to the Panthers, sources told ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.

Canales, however, will call plays for the Panthers as he did as the offensive coordinator in Tampa Bay last season, sources told ESPN. Idzik, 32, has never been a playcaller.

  5. “So if we lose this last game.. you’re going to kick me and the rest of the team in the ass like this?”

Tepper: …Foot just a litttttle higher. You watching this, Smith-Marsette?”

  6. Mingo is getting better, we will see how he ends up. But I will say, him not knowing where he is on the field at times is infuriating. That drop where he pretty much kept running through the sideline and swung his whole body around to attempt to catch it to drop it and be out of bounds at the same time…..

…I don’t think I’ve seen anything like it. I guess one could argue he thought Bryce would drop him a toe tapper leaning out of bounds but if he stops at the sideline on that and waits for the ball, he probably had 10 more yards up the field for a big play.

We can compare all we want but I’m exhausted of the comparisons between our players and others at this point. We have who we have, at least he’s shown some improvement. I’ll make my decision on him next year.

I definitely don't get pissed anymore. I watch without any emotion at all. That's where I am at.

May as well be watching just a random game.

It’s a goal of mine to get there, I’m closer to it than I am away from it for sure

  8. We started to lose our identity when Cam was let go for whatever reason, obviously new regime and a lot of changes but we just didn’t feel right..not saying it was solely him but we did change. Got it back with Wilks and started winning games even though it wasn’t flashy.. and got rid of his ass..

and then…. This. I worry we start to lose the guys that are keeping our defensive identity up as we figure things out on offense. It’ll get super super ugly then.

In short, I agree with Tre Bostons tweet if you saw it. We lost so many dawgs that could win off grit.. it might take some time to right this thing and we’ve already waited awhile

  9. We here for you even as a lurker lol. I’m not the most active of posters just been here awhile. I try to be optimistic and it’s hard. I’m as removed as I’ve ever been emotionally and still get pissed off at some of the things I see and feel stupid for allowing myself to get that way repeatedly. You aren’t alone!

Well, why exactly is a rookie changing the play call in this situation …

that’s a better question…seldom when young does that is it successful

Dalton  is no magician but this team would not be so incompetent with him playing

No argument from me there either.. they trust him and that’s on them. I did wonder the dynamics there myself, we just don’t know what Bryce was told and how he was directed and coached to make the decision. Or if he went against what he was told.. we just don’t know.

What we do know is the offense has sucked all season and I doubt Bryce is changing the plays more often than he is taking the play call. Pretty much, from what we’ve seen the odds were against us either way. Speaking on that last play and first option being a better fit when as of today we were the 29th best offense with only 2 rushing tds.. and you specifically not adding much to the mix this season..read the room. I like Chark the person.. I’m just saying this is a statement I’d disagree with him putting out there.

    DJ Chark after the game...

Fair or not, that can be seen as questioning Bryce for his decision.

Won't be surprised if somebody asks him about that...

Chark made some good catches today but should not be putting this out. I noticed him quitting on the top of his routes several times today and also not doing showing much effort to make himself available on off-script/extended plays. Haven’t noticed it so much prior but man.. be quiet, Chark lol

I don't care if he sets up permanent residence in the locker room as long as he stays out of any and all football decisions.

But I'm not holding my breath waiting on that happening.

In football decisions, meetings on Monday with the coach the day after, with his wife watching the oline after you cut a starter.…

All while your track record has proven no success on the field. Time to back the hell off of something, whatever he’s doing isn’t working and the constant presence isn’t coming off supportive it sounds intimidating. People don’t work best in that environment
