  1. It's for this exact reason I believe Shaq, Donte and Burns should not be on the team in 2024 (Moton as well, but there isn't anyway to feasibly get rid of him). How are you going to reward players with massive contracts when they have never contributed anything to a winning team? That is the standard we set and we have been paying for it ever since. We likely need a full reset. And to be honest I wouldn't mind if Tepper hired Eviro and Morgan to be a cleanup crew. Giving Morgan a direct order to gut the team and accumulate draft capital and if they are able to do that and still be competitive then they prob deserve to reap the benefits and remain with the team. If not you hire people that you think can build a team from scratch like the Texans did this year. It's not the way I want to go, but it is probably the way we need to go and should have gone last year and also in 2020.
  2. Regarding the Hurricanes and the Panthers under new ownership, I think there’s a very valuable lesson to learn that appears to be eluding Tepper. When the Hurricanes were bought the 1st thing that happened was that they cleaned house, completely new F/O and coaching staff. We didn’t do that (obviously coming off an 11-5 season it’s hard to justify cleaning house) and we are still paying for that. The old regime that remained was resistant to everything Tepper did and made it difficult for the new guys to come in and do their job. That is naturally what happens when you try to change something without uprooting it. And it will continue to happen, until Tepper fires everybody and tells the new GM that nobody on the team is safe and that they need a culture change. Moton and Shaq are the only two players (except our LS) who have had winning seasons with the Panthers and they were 2nd and 3rd year guys. We need to get rid of any 2nd contract career Panthers who aren’t superstars because players should not get rewarded for mediocrity and we need our leaders to be guys who know what it takes to win individual games, but also know how to put themselves in the best position to play well week in and week out.
