Rico is so tired, that is why we have to pass. Or put Trevor in

Get back to your bread-and-butter, uncle Rico going to have to get 30 touches today. They can’t stop them.
He's clearly worn out, which affected the last drive. This is where you need Chuba bad

I think we found our kicker. This guy is great

Truly the Peyton Hillis of our time, and he runs just like him too.

Did I watch the same game? What's with all this Dart glazing? He has basically played identical to Mitch Trubisky. The Giants ran 39 times. And have the best front 7 in the NFL, so they can do that.

Brees had legendary elite footwork. Bryce will be the same as he is now until he fixes that + stops panicking in the pocket. Bryce fixed it somewhat last season but has completely reverted back to rookie season footwork and pocket awareness, for seemingly no reason

Beck will be a Top 5 pick and it's not really even debatable at this point. Allar will be a Top 5 pick as well. Based on what I've seen out of UGA, the issues with Beck's play last year were not all his fault. He clearly took a lot of heat for it but I watch a lot of college football, and there isn't a better draft eligible QB in the country than Beck right now. That's a hill I'll die on.
Beck and Allar are both fringe 1st round QB's, teams will take Dante Moore, Mendoza, and Mateer over both of them, and some team like the Raiders or Jets will fall in love with Sellers at at the top too

They are who we thought they were, and we let them off the hook 2.0
this was as crazy as that Cards-Bears game

I’m at the game and they are single covering TMac and Legette. Please tell me why they can’t run a play in the end zone where one of these players just jump up and catch the ball. These CBs are not good.

How is it that the 3 best college QBs all have a bye week this week? Mendoza, Sellers, and Moore
Mateer broke his hand

He has a Bryce Young level arm.
I know you get a boner talking about Bryce being bad but Manning is much, much worse than Bryce Young, comeon now.

I'm unfamiliar with this man is he similar to Gus Johnson?
He's more hype and more articulate than Gus, he's the Hornets TV announcer. He was so good that he and Dell Curry got hired to do national NBA on NBC games this year too

Arch Manning is really really bad. Awkward

You are forgetting we are at home, where we play much better, and the Dolphins are on the road, where they play much worse.
I think we win, and this starts the McDaniel will be fired talk. Still think we only win 4 games, but Miami at home is probably the easiest we'll have all season
Is Coker coming back? I thought he was eligible this week

Teams likely going to draft at QB
Saints, Raiders, Panthers, Jets, BrownsTeams thinking about drafting a QB
Steelers, Rams (time to groom someone behind Stafford), Dolphins (Tua seems to have run his course), Titans (If Cam Ward goes 0-17 and gets Rosen'd and they completely clean house which is possible), Cardinals (maybe one more year from giving up on Kyler), Eagles (I think they take one in the top 3 rounds because Hurts doesn't appear to be making progress as a passer)That's an awful lot of teams and so far the draft class isn't that solid so that's scary. I think for sure 4 1st round QB's get picked, and probably 5, and Allar could be the 6th at the end of the 1st.
So yeah, Sellers is getting picked. I just hope we end up with Dante Moore, Mateer, or Nussmeier, and not Sellers, Mendoza, or Allar. In reality 4 out of the 6 will bust, and I don't think we are skilled/lucky enough to pick the franchise QB.
-
If they want to draft a 1st round QB they can’t keep Canales, otherwise you are locking into him for 3 more years. If the Panthers suck the rest of the season you have to do it.
I think Day will be the next Harbaugh if he jumps up, but I doubt he’d come here unless Tepper would throw eleventy billion dollars at him.

Mac didn’t attempt a single pass past 25 yards, and only one pass 20. You guys would just turn on him here immediately if we signed him

Christ. We don’t have patience for XL because he isn’t trying. He’s not hustling on the field, making lazy attempt at catches, and not blocking at all. Bryce may suck but he’s at least trying.

It's so obvious that the offense is handcuffed by the QB position. Some folks complain about everyone constantly complaining about Bryce but he plays the most important position in the game and when your limitations are hamstringing the entire offense you're cooked. Bryce is not the reason special teams had an awful day and he's not the reason our LBs suck but he is the primary limiting factor of our offense and that is consistently putting our already had defense in terrible positions. The QB spot is our biggest roster issue. It's just that simple. No, having a legit QB wouldn't fix all of our problems but it sure would create hope and lead to a much different overall fan vibe.
The problem is many, many other teams have this issue and the draft bust rate is as high as ever. Cam Ward looks worse than Bryce did his rookie year and he just went #1 overall. We saw how bad our other QB's were in the preseason. Put in Hooker, sure okay he might run a little more, but we are still getting blown out and our WR's still won't get the ball.

Er... what? Stefanski has not been good the last two years, nor has their offense. Stefanski definitely requires a competent QB (no knock on him here). Flacco was miraculously good in 2023, but since, they're one of the few teams with a worse offense than the Panthers. Hell, over that period we've put up 100+ more points than they have...
Look beyond the record, the Browns compete despite complete zero's on the offensive side of the ball due to Watson's cap hit and injuries to players. Now, we have just as bad as an owner if not worse, so maybe he wouldn't win any more here, but I think he's a good coach who gets the players ready to play
-
Good coaches are competitive with crap QBs. Look at Stefanski (who we should hire if he gets canned). Canales is not. He has to go. Good play caller, but offers nothing else that is head coach material. Bryce Young doesn’t play run defense or special teams.

There were certain posters on here that wanted to give Jake Browning a big contract this offseason because they've had enough of Bryce. He looks pitiful.

I’m gonna say it… I’m proud of Bryce.

I thought he outplayed Dak today. Like I know Dak had bigger stats and but a lot of that was Pickens running free through the zone and when it came to "must have it" plays Dak panicked and checked down/made some terrible decisions.
Bryce still has a way to go. He threw behind or short quite a bit still. Horn could have had a TD had he not had to stop for the ball on that catch. Puzzling becuase he's capable of lasers like the TD to Legette last week and the 4th down throw today
