Top tier QBs typically drive Super Bowl runs and wins there are very few exceptions in the history of the Super Bowl..both old NFL and new NFL….the Brad Johnson, Joe Flacco , Nick Fole types are unicorns
the Panthers do not have one at present
https://www.profootballnetwork.com/list-of-super-bowl-starting-quarterbacks/
facts are facts
they aren’t going anywhere until they do….so, I’m going to just enjoy the ride with no expectations

Seems there's a class action lawsuit claiming antitrust rules were violated by the NFL with how it handled DirecTV Sunday Ticket.
The suit is asking for individual team subscriptions, and potential for each customer to get as much as $2k in refunds
If this works out, could be a good day for fans
Actual details in the link

Had it for decades. Thanks for sharing

he missed 1 FG under 50 all season last year.
he missed 2 FG under 50 the year prior
and made most of his 50+ both seasons
I think Pinero is just wanting off the worst team in the NFL. Competitive teams are looking for a reliable kicker. Seems like he is just playing that card.
He missed when it mattered..when the pressure was there…there is a reason he was available to begin with
the Panthers had very few games in which it did matter ..another player who could’ve made it better and didn’t
…I don’t see either Dan or Dave crying over him.
if he thinks he can do better, well he was looking for a job when he found this one.
…go and Godspeed

I just don’t think Morgan or Canales are going to tolerate not improving week over week
I wish Ickey the best.
He is very young and needs to learn he isn’t in the ACC anymore and in the NFL, it is ‘what have you done for me lately’ even for the greatest stars
if he doesn’t learn it, he won’t be in the league long

Huge fan of this guy he regularly does draft content but every year he does breakdowns of teams and since he has been evaluating players has a deep knowledge of every player on each team. Awesome listen if you got the time plus he is moving to charlotte could be a future huddler.
Watched this as well.
Didnt post it because of its length and people wanting a synopsis
his points on young, were spot on in my opinion
it was fair, balanced etc
i agree with many that Young will never have the tools to be elite and everything around him has to be perfect.
nothing personnel, but thats not the nfl world and in my mind, that’s not what the number overall pick should be
that said, I'm going to stop analyzing him, its not going to change, try snd Enjoy the season, hope they are competitive and that Young makes us all look like fools..at least for a game or two

drafted in '21 from notre dame where he played fullback.... iirc.
he's been good for 3 TDs 150-175 yards a year. could be more if involved more. he's got potential and on those rare occasions he gets targeted and catches the ball (about 50% success there) he does something big with it. First downs, TDs, big impressive catches. Solid blocker as well. Guy can hit.
he was targeted more than Thomas the last 3 years and has 3 more career TDs.
Love Tommy
..but I’m a ND fan

To say Bryce doesn’t have pride, dedication and commitment is completely ridiculous. He was absolutely pounded last season with no help and never complained once. All he talked about was improving. Stop being an idiot trying to create a problem that isn’t reality.
so, we are giving participation awards now for taking sacks..some of which he created himself ?
I stand by what I said. To put him in the same rarified air as Mills and Smith in the previous post did is a false comparison
that’s my opinion
young has done nothing to even be mentioned in the same breath as those two guys guys
those guys had to fight for every single thing. They were not the chosen golden boys attending Mater Dei
Not being those golden boys made them play harder Tougher. That is not Young’s makeup. He even admitted such…that being the underdog doesn’t motivate him
he better find something that does motivate him
if you really believe, should the Panthers ever be so fortunate again to get there, he will be the guy in game 17, to get the winning TD to go to the playoffs, good on you.
I don’t

Steve Smith was told he didn't belong on an NFL field.
Sam Mills was told he didn't belong either.
Yes, being bigger and stronger is helpful, but that doesn't ensure a long career in the NFL either, just ask Cam.
I’ve seen Steve Smith play in person
ive seen Sam Mills play in person
Young is not in the same category Their pride and desire and commitment, off the charts
It isn’t about being as big and strong as Cam Newton. He does, however, need to have certain measurements for the NFL
it is also about having a passion and a belief, no matter what, a TD will happen when required …. He has not demonstrated that
ill repeat something I said before from someone who would know a lot more than me. Bill Parcells said when asked about Young’s measurements ‘he better walk on water’
i don’t know about you but I don’t see any water walking

It's both. He didn't see well in the shotgun either. The only positive this year IMO is that they will be picking top 5 again. I just don't think there is a good enough NFL offensive scheme you can run with Bryce. He has too many limitations and if they didn't blow so much to trade up for him they wouldn't be forcing it so hard this year again.
I feel this too
i reallywish i didnt
those are behemoths out there and their speed and closing speed us ungodly fast
in the pros, they are all good. There is no college level player to be picked on
i saw the Saints bench laughing at Young in the pocket
i dont feel he belongs in the pros. I feel he will be below average due ti physical limitations.

no beef man just an observation you are concerned with the price of your tickets bc you want to sell them.
I’d love to meet you but I had to move to the West Coast
…so, now, I still have a year’s ticket commitment that I’ve paid in Charlotte that I can’t use plus YouTube plus to see them out here
why I still insist on following them, I just don’t know as I despise Tepper
I never thought I would leave N.C. but sometimes family is more important

Agreed. Need more black and blue in there week to week. Embarrassing af last year.. even the vikings turned our home stadium purple.
So, tell me, in the Panthers 30 years of existence, how many tickets have you purchased ?
how many games have you attended ?
I purchased a PSL and I’ve purchased season tickets that accompany them for 24 years and that was my choice
with that choice comes a contract with the Panthers that I cannot be released from until expiration
what also comes with that choice is gas, food lodging
what I do with those tickets are also my choice, for the price paid, and though I owe you, or no one else an explanation, I had to leave the east coast, late last year and will not be returning but I cannot get out of my agreement for one more year Even after 23 years, they will not release me
that’s my problem.
but, I’ll tell you what, as you have a bit of….judgement…I’ll be more than happy to let you have my season tickets for $6900 Plus $500 if you want the parking pass
if you already have PSLs, then maybe some of your very loyal friends might be interested in purchasing at least a game or two at face value
i await your response to jump on this golden opportunity I’m giving you to support your team.

And dude, I've been a PSL owner for 20 years... trust me, I got thick skin when it comes to the Panthers.
This is my last year….had them for 23 years…the 6 under Tepper dictates no renewal by me when my contract expires this year
did you notice the ticket prices in the package and how jacked up the tickets are for Dallas and KC?
used to be the Panthers divide the price equally over the six to 8 home games good times
No more…now the ‘premier’ games are twice the price of a regular game. Even the Bengals game is jacked up
tepper is simply a rat bastard

Good time to break the Vet QB thing down I guess
Personally, I wouldn't be surprised to see Blaine Gabbert if this is what they do.
If Tampa cuts John Wolford, he might get picked up since he was with Tampa last season.
The irony of Gabbert being in Carolina…the QB pundits wanted drafted over Cam

Yes. I listened to it
part of it is going from number 1 draft pick who was Superman to a number 1 overhyped draft pick who in ability and physical stamina more Minnie than Mickey Mouse with an on field disposition that is comatose …slow moving slow acting
he is a total buzz kill
sorry but it is true

I noticed CJ WRs were head and shoulders better.
Maybe it’s because Stroud’s weren’t worried about being decapitated by high balls or knocked out by the tight ones in traffic or being led into hospital balls
be that as it may, we shall soon see the new and improved team with Young leading to come from victory
…or perhaps, egads, score more than 7 points throwing.
yeah, I’m bitter

Panthers' complete 2024 NFL schedule
The Panthers clearly -- and rightfully -- set out to help Bryce Young this offseason. In free agency, they shelled out more than $150 million on a pair of guards, Robert Hunt and Damien Lewis. Makes plenty of sense, considering last year's No. 1 overall pick took the second-most sacks (62) of any quarterback in 2023 and generally struggled to produce offense. Carolina also traded for a veteran receiver who can separate (Diontae Johnson) and then drafted explosive playmakers at wideout (Xavier Legette), running back (Jonathan Brooks) and tight end (Ja'Tavion Sanders). The hardest four-game stretch for the Panthers takes place in Weeks 12 through 15: vs. Kansas City, vs. Tampa Bay, at Philadelphia, vs. Dallas. The good news is that comes directly after their bye in Week 11.

A write up on Panthers schedule from NFL.COM
Carolina Panthers
2023 RECORD: 2-15 · NFC SOUTH: 4TH
Carolina Panthers' complete 2024 NFL schedule
Strength of schedule: .467 (T-29)
Bye: Week 11
Three marquee matchups:
Week 5: at Chicago Bears, 1 p.m. ET on FOX
Week 10: vs. New York Giants, 9:30 a.m. ET on NFL Network (Munich)
Week 12: vs. Kansas City Chiefs, 1 p.m. ET on CBS
Biggest takeaways:
Bryce Young takes on Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels and Bo Nix within four weeks. The NFL clumped together the rookie quarterbacks on the Panthers' slate in 2024. Young takes on the Bears' Williams in Week 5, the Commanders' Daniels in Week 7 and the Broncos' Nix in Week 8, giving us an on-field comparison of where the 2023 No. 1 overall pick stands in his development versus some of this year's crop. Heck, if something happens in Atlanta and Michael Penix is in the saddle by Week 6, Young could square off against four consecutive rookie QBs. Not only does the stretch give us a chance to see Young against his peers, but it also gives the Panthers a chance to make some hay against other rebuilding clubs, potentially.
Brutal stretch to close the season. New coach Dave Canales' club had better get off to a hot start, because the end of the campaign looks rough on paper. Coming out of a Week 11 bye, the Panthers play five of their final seven games against 2023 playoff teams, starting with Kansas City, Tampa Bay, Philadelphia and Dallas in consecutive weeks. That's a ruthless stretch for a young team hoping to gain momentum looking toward 2025 and Year 2 of a new regime. But if the Panthers come out with positive results, it will be clear that Canales has built a solid foundation.
Shut out of prime time. The Panthers are the lone club without a single prime-time game on the docket for 2024. Carolina's one standalone match comes against the New York Giants in Germany, where they'll meet former Panther Brian Burns, a first-round pick in 2019 who was traded away this offseason. It's a bummer not to have any prime-time games, but we can spin this positively. Canales' young bunch has the opportunity to grow outside the limelight and pressure that comes with those night tilts. Learning to win is a big part of developing in the NFL. If Carolina can string together a bunch of Sunday afternoon victories, there will always be flex options for the league later in the campaign.
