Makes no sense unless he doesn’t think the NFL will commissioners list him. Which is a really bad look for them no matter the reality of the accusations.
Big Ben and Ray Lewis weren’t good looks either
and that doesn’t include all the wife and girlfriend beatings

Athletes behaving badly is not news. Neither is politicians behaving badly and they survived
Point being, If Roethlisberger can still be in the league anyone can....same with Ray Lewis being in the nfl hall of fame
It is not a good look for Watson but it’s far from the level of those two men, along with the countless others who beat the poo out if their wives and girlfriends based on what is out there now as to what he did
I have to say he is the last athlete I would have expected this from, well, other than The Golden Calf of Bristol but I’ve long since stopped being surprised

That win against Washington that everyone said killed our draft will actually prove opposite: it pushed us far back enough that trading for Deshaun was the only palatable option. Thanks Coach Rivera!
Don’t get me started on Rhule with that one Stupid Build that winning culture .......he needed to take a lesson from Sean Payton on how to lose end of season meaningless games in the pros
anyway. If you think about it, probably the way Tepper does, to move up in the draft at least two first RD plus for something not proven vs three first plus something for a known commodity. Take short term pain for long term
if it doesn’t work, in a couple of years he can fire his Golden boy coach If it does work, they both can feel good about themselves
Tepper gets what he wants
-
Do any of these teams have the number 8 pick in the draft?
whether we like it or not, the Panthers aren’t good at hiding their intentions.....whether it is getting rid of a QB1 or trying to acquire a new one
Tepper gets what he wants and what other people think doesn’t matter

The Athletic's Michael Lombardi reports that there are rumors that Deshaun Watson doesn't want to play in New York or Miami.
Instead, Watson is rumored to want to play for the Broncos or 49ers, probably because they have more talent on their rosters. Of course, rumors are rumors. If true, Watson is lowering his odds of actually getting traded out of Houston because the Texans wouldn't be in a prime position to draft their next quarterback with Denver or San Francisco's draft picks. Even if Watson is open to being traded anywhere else, the Texans need to be willing to let him go. Thus far, the entire organization has been committed to Watson, going as far as letting trade offers go to their voicemail. There will be plenty of speculation over the next few weeks, but the reality is that a potential Watson deal likely wouldn't go through until just days or minutes before the 2021 NFL Draft.
There is no telling but those two were never mentioned before. It has always been NY jets, Miami or Carolina
if they are willing to pay, go for it

Yep. The part about Tepper being a ‘blind bidder’ is correct
I also like at the end when Peter said ‘Houston is irrational. They could just decide to punish Watson and make him sit a year.there is no telling. Deshaun is a top 5 qb. God knows what the Pa there would have to give up

Two of the top four highest paid.... at no point in their careers have they performed as top TEs.... combine their best seasons and you get one season of Kittle/Kelce stats.
FFS. Are you enjoying being a contrarian ?
I didn’t say they were the two best or greatest ever or currently or in all of NFl history, I said ‘top level’
-
Cam now has two top level TEs to throw to hardening back to the Shockey and Olsen days

Things the Panthers do are just a mystery
thin at DT, no problem, release a cheap DT who actually produced

Perhaps they know they are going to have to give up this year’s first and second (and much more) to move up in the draft or to obtain a QB and they also know they need bodies in front of said QB
And maybe they think I these guys can wott try k well together and gave the versatility to move around due to injury
who knows...this is year two of Rhule and year two of tepper’s grand vision

I've just got a good feeling about this guy. Had the same feeling about CMC (yea..I know he had a great resume but many here wanted Fornette).
Here are some links to interesting writeups about him:

I do as well. He seems to be comfortable in his own skin
i like him a lot better than Justin Fields from that perspective

We're not going to let the media know our draft plans. No one outside the Panthers organization knows our draft plans.
Lol
the panthers told the entire league what their draft plans were after the last game
..and for the slow learners and non believers there was the Stafford trade attempt

He may be a great one day, but the wrong system could cost a lot of smart men their jobs.
To be honest, that is how you really have to look at this: If my ass was on the line, would I take Lance in the top 10? Would I take Fields? Would I take Wilson after pulling a Bearish trade up only to find out that he is not the answer? What I want as a fan does not matter--would you take Lance if your ass was on the line?
Now, having said that, the owner in Carolina is screaming QB, so I think you are going to get a QB--taking a lot of the guesswork out.
Do you know how many top QBs fox passed on with this philosophy? Even after knowing Delhomme’s elbow was shot?
in the nfl, if a team doesn’t have a qb, they have nothing. It really is that simple
they have enhanced film today. They should be able to figure it out
on the other hand, these are the same people who brought Bridgewater in here despite their acting like he was dropped by aliens at their facility

its pretty damn near impossible this year, how would the Falcons navigate the cap hit?
Not my problem to solve. Just repeating what I saw from, cbs mock, I believe
if the Saints and Tampa can negotiate theirs, I’m sure a way can be going d if so motivated
teams aren’t always smart. Case in point, the jags hired urban Meyer

Pretty sure Ryan's contract makes that damn near impossible.
Nothing is impossible if they want to move on and hey fall in love with Watson .
