No matter what happens today, even if we somehow pull out a miraculous win, Bryce has to go. The NFL is too big for him. He looks scared out there. How he has not been snapped in half yet is beyond me? Pure luck I guess, but he's on borrowed time.
He
1. Has no long ball
2. Can’t do a qb sneak with him
keep him one year and then ba bye

Young looks like he is sleep walking today

Why can’t they run a qb sneak
god knows, no one would expect it

I wouldn't expect Rico do go off with this line....if he does its his pure beastmode.
Yeah. They signed Moton to another what 3 year contract
they knew he had a bad knee
here we are
had Canales just stayed with Rico and ran the ball, allot of these injured wouldn’t have happened
better to be the hammer than the nail…running, linemen are the hammer, passing, the nail

Predictions from the Observer writers
i am sad I wish the Panthers had one, just one, game changing hero on their roster …one player that isnt ok with losing …there aren't any Steves,, Lukes, Cams, Thomas’ on this roster When a team has a roster and there isn't one jersey that sells, there arent any heroes
if there are, today is a good day to show up
From the Oberser
Fowler: Packers 30, Panthers 20. Carolina will hang around for a while for this one, but the Packers — a legitimate Super Bowl threat — have just too much firepower.
Kaye: Packers 31, Panthers 20. Green Bay feels like one of the true Super Bowl contenders in the NFC. The Packers’ offense is dynamic and the defense continues to improve. With a banged up O-line and an unpredictable defense, I’m not sure it matters who is at QB for the Panthers on Sunday. The Packers should win at home in convincing fashion.
Zietlow: Packers 35, Panthers 28. I predicted last week that the Bills would win in lopsided fashion. They were coming off a two-game losing streak followed by a bye. The Panthers, conversely, were due for a regression after three great weeks. This week, after refocusing, I think the Panthers will put up a strong performance. I also think Rico Dowdle will get the majority of the carries and that the defense will play much better against the run. The Packers will still win, but the Panthers will leave Lambeau with their heads held high.

If Rico can get hot early we may have a chance to win and it would be the upset of the Year

It's either Bryce or Daniel Jones and it's probably going to be Bryce.

People forget how terrible Mayfield was here because it’s become popular to idolize him, since he’s found the perfect scenario for himself. But a 74.4 QB rating (worse than Bryce) a 1-1 TD-INT ratio (worse than Bryce) and a .200 win percentage (worse than Bryce somehow!) meant he was actually better than Bryce here. It’s great that people want to improve the QB room because it definitely needs it, if not an overhaul. But the whole “it wasn’t Baker’s fault” has to be from people who didn’t watch in 2022.
Wasnt Baker coming off injury when first here…i dont remember
the Rhule Fitterer years were a hot mess and the franchise is still paying
both Darnold and Baker csn play, and could play They rose with better organizations and coaches …neither of which the Panthers had.
Im not sure what the Panthers have now

I say bring Lance in. We have an OL, decent weapons and, by god, a QB whisperer as a HC. (obviously joking about that last part) Plus, we're statistically due to have a reclamation project work.
My thoughts exactly
lance has issues we all know that but being able to do a qb sneak for 2 yards isnt one of them
Neither is throwing the ball more than 5 yards whether it is to one of our players or a fan in the stands is the issue
even ‘small hands’ pickett as a backup is far better than Dalton

Still don't believe Hubbard is fully healthy yet.
And if he isn't, any judgment made on him will likely be skewed.
I dont either
calf injuries seldom heal in 2 weeks
I don’t recall if this is the same calf as last year’s season end

I get it. It's just hard to wrap your mind around that it's THAT bad and Morgan/Tepper didn't see any reason to bring in any QB competition this offseason.
And that, is a helluva lot more concerning than anything else

Christensen officially goes on IR. Panthers sign Mike White to roster to back up Young due to Andy Dalton’s injury.
Proves my point that Hooker is horrible and is literally just here to run scout team. The Panthers would rather have had 37 year old Andy Dalton with an injured throwing thumb out there than Hooker. They also sign a guy who has been here 8 days over Hooker who has been here 9 weeks.
It just makes me question these personnel decisions even more.
one would think that QB isn't the most important position on the team .
…or that this team has a small of frame QB by anyone’s measure
…there are 17 games in a season
…why are they surprised he got hurt and they are unprepared
After they made a prior decision to keep a declining dalton, ditch the long term, not great Jack Plummer and he is replaced with so poor of a project that he isnt viewed as even 3rd string
what are they doing

Athletic today reported this line
embarrassing
- Carolina (+13) at Green Bay, because it’s a huge line and the Packers like to play with their food

Well said. I just don’t understand how Canales thinks he will gain the respect of your players if you don’t play the best players based on their level of play and contribution. Everyone is so damn coddled it’s no wonder they fold when punched in the mouth
Mr Rogers without the sweater
He does things even a high school coach wouldn't do
frankly, he is a bad version of Pete carroll

Tepper made a call id say. Same way he wasn't benching Bryce last year after week 2 then boom like he got a phone call
Yep
What Canales says is not something he would say the way he would say it
those are Tepper’s words during the post game Monday HC to owner meeting
no way does Canales word things thevwsy that statement was worded
you ride your best horse in a race you have to win. You don’t ride the stable pony
it is really not hard

Packers 38, Panthers 20
halftime score, Packers, 21, panthers 7
tucker Kraft and the other GB TE have field days against Evero’s defense
i swear, I wish the Panthers had a hero or two, tough guys who perform and make plays
gone are the Luke, Cam, Delhomme, Steve Smith days and it sucks

Just about everyone I have ever seen that was a first time HC, mostly successful coordinators, said there was stuff they couldn’t have imagined.
Canales only had one season as a coordinator. A steep learning curve should be expected. Help in the form of a mentor would have been a good idea.Aren’t there two former HCs on staff, Capers and the former WF…Lions HC

Seems like our coaching staff is out coached.
Continually
the simplest things…think about it
how hard is it to know Rico is the bell cow back until he isnt
how hard is it to know your defense is getting beat on the edge with freaking toss plays and adjust and fix the dl alignment
over it. JV staff

The leash is long and there's still time but he definitely exposed himself as not the offensive wiz he was cracked up to be. Looking like your average OC cosplaying as head coach. I feel like you could swap him and Evero and the results would be about the same
Yep and Evero is good at setting the wrong kinda records, anytime he plays a top 15 team
the latest, making james cook the rb who breaks franchise record in yards at 216 because his defense couldnt stop a toss play. The onky reason it wasnt more was mcdermott stopped it. Pathetic
and this follows the worst run defense in nfl history last year
As for Canales, imho no way should canales be in duo roles
only the highest level coaches are and he is no Andy Reid or sean Mcvay He wasnt even high in Tampa
