Fanbase already being so against Young is sad really. Context matters.
I’m sorry, after 17 games, there is no need for context
yes he has adversity but he is simply not quick enough or strong enough at any level for the nfl
he was a huge mistake

They probably don't want Young to get hurt, want him healthy so he can suck for the entire 17 game schedule next season.
Then out in Dalton so what fans that are there an actually see a pro qb

Bryce almost NEVER is able to step up in the pocket. Our interior line is so freaking bad.
There is no concept of roll and throw. ..designed or otherwise

I don’t know who I dislike more
Stephen sullivan or Bryce young
I mean, who would expect a blitz on 3rd and 4

Random thought. Team Probably should have won 6 or 7 instead of 2 or 3

Drafted the wrong qb. Hired the wrong coach
bought by the wrong owner

I get what you are saying there. What I don’t get is the gloating in which many fans take part because they wanted Stroud over Bryce. Your gloating is only possible because the Panthers made the wrong pick. Why would a fan want to gloat about that? That’s what I’m not understanding.
It isn’t gloating
it’s bitterness towards an owner and his staff that has ruined this franchise
picking young just exemplifies all of it meaning ‘I don’t care if he is the smallest qb to ever play, I’m Dave Tepper, draft him’
his flaws technically are in film for all to see but a nice dinner with Dave, Nicole and Fitterer was all it took
nothing like trading away what was left of decent personnel for a 5’ 9” Qb. Nfl ain’t college
when legendary coach Bill Parcells was asked about young given the height concerns and the price paid, he said ‘he better walk on water’
i aint seen a whole lot of walking I see a lot of, Bryce threw 2 TDs this game…participation trophies

Based on the way some fans here talk about Bryce, it would be really hard to conclude that they want him to succeed here.
As far as your zero-sum comment, it works both ways. Just because the Panthers passed on Stroud, it doesn’t mean they are “set back for a decade” or other such comments.
Admittedly, Stroud should have absolutely been the pick. Bitching and moaning about the fact the Panthers passed on him and making snide comments about the guy who will, at least, be the Panthers’ QB for one more year accomplishes what exactly? That’s what I don’t get.
Bryce, right or wrong, is the tangible personnel evidence of Tepper’s franchise failures
I pray I’m wrong for the franchise, but he sure doesn’t look like he belongs in the NFL, on any level
cmc, DJ, gone, for Minnie Mouse
when a fan goes into each Sunday hoping for participation trophies from a player that cost the franchise dearly, it’s a sad situation…for the player as well

The frequency of ums is a lot higher after losses than after (the two) wins. That's my point. When he's under some kind of duress, his speech deteriorates alarmingly. It's normal for a person's speech to deteriorate when under duress, by the way, but not to the extent that Bryce exhibits. Other QBs after a tough loss would look angry or subdued, but they could still string together terse but coherent sentences to express their disappointment and frustration. Not Bryce though, he was often on the verge of crying, with his voice trembling while he uttered endless streams of ums as if he's reading Shakespeare in Morse code. I don't know about you, but his fidgety behavior on camera and his panicky play on the field are to me a sign of his lack of mental toughness.
You are correct
i thought darnold was bad with the ‘like’s and ‘you know’ but this kid
..my god I forget which presser it was..,he had a tank top on and the fidgeting and scratching himself under the tank and was totally cringe worthy …it was constant
I do not expect a great oration from a pro football player but sweet baby Jesus, he’s bad Did he never talk to the press at Bama ? …I mean, I know it’s Alabama…but come on
…and this….is the face of the franchise … lol. Fitting

…Bryce backers just can't seem to grasp this simple fact and instead they resort to blaming the O-line, the receivers, the coaches, and anything and everything except their golden boy.
I think the problem Is the biggest Bryce Backers are Dave and Nicole
the people who wanted him to sit got fired because they couldn’t make chicken salad out of chicken poo

If Scott F stays, that means Tepper is not about to relinquish quasi control on football personnel / operations, he wants a yes man who presents to him and Nicole FA options / draft options to choose. It has become clear as day that Scott Fitterer is no more than middle management paper tiger, just does what the boss tells him to do and will be the fall guy when needed. Fitterer's body of work is damning enough for any reasonable owner to fire him.
If Fitter is fired and we hired a true President of football, a competent GM and start a true coaching search, then MAYBE Tepper has called other owners and taken heed as to ways to run a team (Biscotti comes to mind, GREAT owner in a small/er market)
If frogs had wings, they wouldn’t….well, you know

He's average to above average in elusiveness I'd say. Not what you'd call a scrambling QB at all, but he's dodged a shitload of sacks in addition to the ones he's taken.
I’ve seen him truly scramble 8 times
Mostly, he turns to his right and is slow enough that the left defensive end runs him down….and all it takes is a hand to bring him down
not trying to pick on him but the tape is there…nothing he can do for a jail break however, if there is no space to step up

Bryce and Leaf are the two opposite sides of the same coin. Bryce has all the mental tools and mindset but lacks the physical tools. Leaf lacked the mental tools and mindset but had all the physical talent. If you could combine the best of both you'd have an elite franchise QB, but as they are they're busts.
The part everyone keeps looking past is that Bryce already has the elements that can be developed. He lacks the part you gotta be born with.
Yep
i was big on AR and Stroud. What they have can’t be taught
if they lacked experience or mental acumen for the game, can they be taught …that’s the question
… but no matter what is done, can’t turn 5’9 to 6 ft 3 and he’s not exactly elusive in the pocket either
