  1. Between that and the OC issue, he has an excuse for another year or two. Then add in that if the team wins 1-2 more games, he can claim improvement and that they are on schedule to turn things around after the QB and OC issues. On top of that, add in that Tepper seems sold on Rhule and wants to be proved right, he could easily get 4+ years.
  2. I'm not sure which team got the better of that deal. Sabonis can be an offensive force while Haliburton has proven to be a fairly good guard. Hield adds decent scoring too.
  3. Would love to see Jones and Thor some minutes tonight, but I doubt it happens though. JB will probably just play Hayward, Oubre, Bridges, and Washington more.
  4. If the Panthers were able to land him, Brown will become a bigger and more expensive version of post extension CMC.
  5. I agreed with a lot of your responses until this one. The team has four guards, Ish, Terry, LaMelo, and Bouk. Well, five if you count Cody Martin, though he plays mostly SF. Forward is where the team has a logjam. McDaniels, Bridges, Washington, Hayward, Thor, Oubre, Martin, and Jones. If you want to say Plumlee is more a 4 than a 5, then toss another onto the pile. Also, there have been several games this season where everyone went cold that JB had in the rotation, especially from three. Instead of giving Bouknight, or one of the other rookies, a chance to see if he could create a spark JB just kept running with his normal rotations. The streakiness is why I'm not upset that none of the lads were selected as an all-star. There have been too many games where all of them have disappeared more than once and none of them have the name recognition to counter the production issues yet. LaMelo and Miles will get there though. I could see one, if not both of them, take that step next season.
  6. I know there have been some good crowds at the Hive lately, but it sounds like the opposing teams get louder cheers than the Hornets do. I sort of can see it with the Lakers, but the Cavs and Heat too? Come on.
  7. Is Vegas in charge of this one? Duke has started playing like crap while the Heels have started making shots.
  8. The Heels look like they are trying to gift wrap this one for K.
  9. I think K and his boys want this one badly.
  10. Tepper was a minority owner of the Steelers for close to a decade. If he didn't learn anything from one of the best run NFL franchises in all that time, he's a moron.
  11. Officials in every sport beg to differ, as does a bunch of management types.
  12. Only 2 points from PJ so far according to the boxscore. I turned it off with the Hornets down 14 or so five minutes ago. This is why he wasn't selected to the all star game. He still has too many nights like this where he doesn't play well.
  13. Everything I've heard except for some conjecture here, is that Rhule has complete control. So, if Rhule is in charge, how is Fitt going to make draft choices that aren't in Rhule's interest? On that same token, there is zero proof that Rhule is on the hot seat. I'm one of the few that were saying the Panthers weren't a playoff team and Rhule was in over his head when most people here were crowing about how good a coach Rhule was and this was a playoff team. So, I've wanted him gone for some time, but I've seen zero from Tepper to make me think he'll pull the trigger until the majority of that contract is over with as he seems to only really care about money.
  14. You may think it's weird, but it makes perfect sense for Tepper's Panthers. Tepper and his brain trust think they are smarter than everyone else, so this works for them. Joking aside, I still think they take Howell if they go QB at 6. Howell ticks that UNC box that Tepper can use to sell more merch.
  15. How is Fitts going to save the team from itself? Either he's a yes man with no power, or he's part of the problem based off the trades and free agents that has been made since he's joined the team.
  16. Tough loss. Team is on a skid and need to get back in gear.
  17. Miles has had a bad game. Him and Oubre are back to sharing scoring talent, so are switching off who has double digit scoring. Great game by LaMelo though.
  18. Exactly. I'd like to see Tepper clean house, but I don't think he will. If Rhule wins more than 5 games, odds are he's back another year. Heck, I think he'll be back anyway since Tepper hasn't shown to be a good owner.
