Except not having a center to get him the ball. Corbett has never played the position beyond taking some snaps there during camps. The team thinking he's going to be an NFL starting center is dumb. Plus, he's coming off a big injury.

Yeah, it's dumb. The integrity of the game matters! Also, gamble using our official partner! There's always been talk of players and refs being bribed by the mob/Vegas bookies or throwing games they gambled on themselves. Now, if they had went after one of the big stars instead of a bench player most people hadn't heard of, Silver would have more of leg to stand on.

Things are definitely a mess. And looking at the way things are trending, it's not going to get better. Rent, utilities, food, etc. Everything just keeps going up and outpacing inflation except for wages.

I agree with most of what you've posted, but I don't think things will return to a proper alignment again. The investors are too heavily invested in the housing market now for it to return to families buying homes.

I don't think it's a misprint. They repeated 13500 several times in the listing and even list wanting 15500 for two months or less. This is just someone or some company that is totally out of touch with the market.

Maybe is parts of LA and NYC. I've never seen anyone ask for this high of a price in NC before.

While true, you would think they would want a guy that has started at the position before instead of a guy they want to shoehorn into the spot.

It's not a good thing. Never tip your hand unless you're sure you can't be beaten. Nobody could jump them for a QB last year. That's not the case this year as other teams can jump the Panthers by moving back up into the late 1st round.

In yesterday's locked on Panthers podcast, Council said he's hearing and seen reported the Panthers are locked in on taking a WR with pick 33. And I really hope that's just a smokescreen, especially if the centers drop out of the first round.

Ah. Yeah, that makes more sense. He doesn't have the quickness needed for a top 5 pick.

It's also not fair to expect a guy that's never been able to play center to suddenly get it and be good at the job either. And that's what the Panthers seem to be doing.

Yeah, trying to shoehorn Corbett at center is such a Panthers move. And it failing is even more of a Panthers thing. There doesn't seem to be a of quality centers on the free agent market either. The only real hope the team is going to have is drafting a center and praying they he is an immediate hit. Sadly, they'll most likely miss out on the quality center prospects because of waiting/drafting other needs and have to stick with Corbett.

Corbett hasn't played a snap at center during an NFL game. The only time he's been used at center was in camps and was quickly moved back to guard. The dude is not a center and trying to force him there will not bode well for the offense.
