Best case scenario is this was a large part of the problem and he is a new and improved version of himself.

The other side to this is he got significantly worse after Reich was canned.

Also just because we've lived it after trading for him. We have to acknowledge the same oft used defense of Sam Darnold. Which was.....*drum roll*.... Mentioning Adam Gase as many times as possible until everyone believed he was the ultimate boogeyman.

Yeah, but that’s just standard talk.  Same stuff said entering every year for every team.  Like last year.  Just echoing what Frank wants.

Jim Caldwell won the Game of Thrones last year.  He clearly rose in power during that poo show.  How else does he help pick the hires this year.   The offensive assistant also remains.

I can accept keeping the entire D coaching staff intact but I have long said….something doesn’t smell right about Caldwell surviving all this.  How exactly did he gain so much favor and survive.  Same for the O assistant.

We'll just have to wait and see. Hopefully, Canales and Young gel and do good things together. That said, I'm not holding my breath.

lol has he been on the Huddle? This was pretty spot on. I love the fix the running game comment because that literally happened here. I think there is a select few rational people who aren’t all in or all out on him. I’ve seen several that just want to see what happens this year. However he nailed a majority of the fan base here. Good stuff.

Don't forget the thread derails. In the case of their youtube channel, they did mention people posting about Young when the content was about the Hurricanes. So, it seems to be everywhere. And that's not too surprising since people post their opinions everywhere.

Ok cool… lemme start posting Duke basketball threads on here and see how everyone and the mods react. Thread should be move is all… and yes … UNC has always been a snake in the grass.

    Feel free.

I'm not a UNC fan and don't care if you think they're a snake in the grass. But them possibly leaving the ACC is big news to college sports fans, which there are a lot of. You don't have to like it, but it is what it is.

we hover around just mediocre enough to compete for the playoffs but never doing much else.

Most of the fanbase will be happy with that for the next 5-10 years with how bad things have been since the last SB run. Besides, being mediocre is all this fanbase has ever known, so they'll be doubly comforted.

    • Davis thinks Brooks will catch more passes in the NFL.
    • Says Brooks isn't a CMC type back and can't run all the routes.
    • Says Ewers didn't have to checkdown often and that's why Brooks didn't make many catches.
    • Thinks Brooks can be a rah-rah type leader even if he didn't do that at Texas.
    • Council says teams don't draft a RB in the second unless he's going to be the starter.
    • Says he expects Brooks to start once he's healthy.
    • They say Sanders is an athlete moreso than player. Ruh-oh!
    • Says when he arrived at Texas, there were questions on if he would play TE or DE.
    • Says Sanders played TE for two years at Texas.
    • Council says he thinks Sanders was the best Panthers' pick in the draft. I agree.
    • Davis talks about a catch Sanders made without looking, got blasted, and then got back up like he hadn't even been hit.
    • They joke about how Ewers is considered a perfect 5 star recruit and played so well last year yet people still are calling for the other perfect 5 star recruit to take his job.
    • They joke about that happening even with Ewers being from Texas, but the Manning name holding so much power.

Well that's the problem. What's "good enough" at this juncture?

Have we not learned anything from our Carolina Panthers in this area?

I don't see us getting a proper return value right now with the rest of the NBA knowing our predicament. Look at what the Pelicans have dealt with in relation to Zion. The best path is to revisit this next year where there is a high probability his value will increase with improvement under Charles Lee. The biggest variable is the question of how much he will actually play. We just have to wait and see.

I know one thing. The NBA better give us minimum another top 3 pick.

If he doesn't play and you can get a first for him, take it and run. He doesn't do the team any good sitting on the bench joking with his boys.

I'm sure the NBA is ready to give the Hornets their traditional pick again.
