Canales shouldn’t be overly tied to Bryce and I don’t think should be pigeon holed into building a team/future that caters to a guy he didn’t draft.
Why not? He took the job because he thought he could "fix" Young. Also, his pal and GM had a huge hand in drafting Young. For better or worse, Canales will be tied to Young's success or failure.

are we really going to rehash the whole "twin towers" KB/Funchess talking point again?
I had a similar thought when I saw the Panthers had traded into the first round for Legette on the news this morning. Are they really going to go with big receivers and just tell Young to throw it up so they can go get it like Ron and Co tried with Newton? I hope Legette finds success, but the big receiver thing didn't work then and I don't think it'll work now.

They'll probably trade 39 to recoup some draft picks and miss out on any potential starters.

maye will sit for a year or close to it, you can book that in stone
Maybe, maybe not. I haven't paid attention to the Pats, so have no idea how good or bad their QB situation is.

Now here's a question that'll cook your noodle, is Maye's situation better than Bryce's last year?
Doesn't matter if Maye's situation is better or worse than Young's was last year. If Maye has a terrible season, LG will say it is worse and blame everyone except Maye for it. The UNC homerism is strong.

If Corbett is telling the truth and he can play C, then I wonder "at what level" and "who is your backup?"
Just because someone thinks they can play doesn't mean they actually can. There's a reason he's never been a starting center and it's because he isn't a center.

Depends on the TE. If Bowers is there at 33, yeah, I know it's not happening, but if he were there, you'd have to make that pick.

Center and then TE. They're the only two positions not addressed in free agency and center is a dire need since the team doesn't have one.

if trey benson is there then yes.
I can't get behind taking a RB before the 4th or 5th rounds and even that is pushing it.

It’s really the only one that matters
Not having an actual center on the roster doesn't matter?

So funny how everyone is against trading down in its entirety because of an old GM. I'm open to the idea.
I'm against the idea of trading down because the Panthers need talent, not just bodies.

that sounds like a recipe for a .500 team.
Considering where the team has been the last six years or so, that's a huge step up and most fans would take it.

Haven't watched yet but it's on the list. From what I've read, Bethesda is considering the show as canon for Fallout 5.

or an idiot. If he doesnt have the smarts to understand he cant say such things before the draft, what team secrets would he blurt out if drafted.

There's still a few FA centers they might(should) look into after the draft. I hope it's not just to avoid hurting Corbetts feelings or some soft bs like that. At the very least they need another body for camp and unless they take a C high it should probably be a vet since Corbett and Cade aren't exactly well versed at the position
I can see the Panthers rolling with what they have because it's the Panthers and center isn't a sexy pick.

If we add a stud RB, TE, and WR to go with the free agent moves at G and WR, Bryce will have no excuses.
Except not having a center to get him the ball. Corbett has never played the position beyond taking some snaps there during camps. The team thinking he's going to be an NFL starting center is dumb. Plus, he's coming off a big injury.

Yeah, it's dumb. The integrity of the game matters! Also, gamble using our official partner!
There's always been talk of players and refs being bribed by the mob/Vegas bookies or throwing games they gambled on themselves. Now, if they had went after one of the big stars instead of a bench player most people hadn't heard of, Silver would have more of leg to stand on.

This is a decent 20 minute listen about the WNBA and something that happened to Caitlin Clark during her introductory presser.
Panthers Select Xavier Legette WR - Pick 32, Round 1

The Panthers have never been a truly well run organization and have gotten worse under Tepper. Will it keep being one? Don't know, but I'm not holding by breath that it'll suddenly be one.
As for the rest of your post, as John Fox loved to say, "it is what it is." Canales knew the risk/reward when he accepted the job. The NFL has always been a harsh business when it comes to coaches and GMs. That's not going to change anytime soon.
