Like I said, all bubbles burst. Real estate ones just take longer. Look at how many years it took for it to break loose in 2008. More than a decade of rabidly refinancing mortgages and leveraging poorly vetted borrowers versus Freddie Mac's marching orders to buy up every mortgage that hit the secondary market and then the bundling of subprime mortgages with the intent of them failing to get the mortgage insurance payoff. So many pieces in place, so long to crumble completely... much like a house with termites slowly, slowly weakening here and there before finally it just falls into a pile of sawdust.

Yeah, this bubble is about two years from bursting. Sell while the buyer's market is in play and then wait for the collapse, Of course, do it too soon and you find yourself floundering in the renters' market. It's a mess, isn't it?

Things are definitely a mess. And looking at the way things are trending, it's not going to get better. Rent, utilities, food, etc. Everything just keeps going up and outpacing inflation except for wages.

Or it works out to $450 per night, in other words, AirBnB rates for that area. This is probably some kind of dodge to get around local regulations on person to person short term rentals, but I can't say for sure.

We've allowed our housing market to be ruined by massive investment groups, foreign investment companies, Ramada Inn conference room seminar attendees and poorly trained flippers who think they are contractors. Oh yeah, and having massively low interest rates for a three decades running.

When the bubble bursts, and they always do, it's going to be a hog slaughtering day. And then maybe things will get back in proper alignment again.

I agree with most of what you've posted, but I don't think things will return to a proper alignment again. The investors are too heavily invested in the housing market now for it to return to families buying homes.

That has to be a misprint. The inside looks nice but the outside looks cheap as hell. That much for rent gets you a smaller of course but VERY VERY nice place here in the city in a luxury building. Or, here at the beach a huge house I'd imagine.

I don't think it's a misprint. They repeated 13500 several times in the listing and even list wanting 15500 for two months or less.

Rent (all inclusive) if leased for 3+ months = $13,500 Rent (all inclusive) if leased for 1-2 months = $15,500

This is just someone or some company that is totally out of touch with the market.

I don't know If that's a good thing. At the very least these rumors of an overly obvious obsession/early reports  remind of last draft. Debate what you will but everyone saw the year CJ had vs Bryce.

Going by what we've heard thus far it would seem like they're locked in on Legette

Not sure that there is any threat of him going in R1 unless someone makes a surprise pick.

It's not a good thing. Never tip your hand unless you're sure you can't be beaten. Nobody could jump them for a QB last year. That's not the case this year as other teams can jump the Panthers by moving back up into the late 1st round.

Not with a top five pick, would have to be a trade down scenario.

Ah. Yeah, that makes more sense. He doesn't have the quickness needed for a top 5 pick.

Yeah, but it’s not fair expectations to draft a C and expect him to be NFL average out the gate though.  Especially, if it’s not some top tier first round prospect.

It's also not fair to expect a guy that's never been able to play center to suddenly get it and be good at the job either. And that's what the Panthers seem to be doing.

It will be such a Panther thing….

to of spent all this FA money at G….and not a have an average C on the roster which leaves the middle a mess in the end.

and I don’t think a 2nd round rookie is going to be an average starter year 1.  Especially as defenses come out playing Bryce the way they will at the gate

Yeah, trying to shoehorn Corbett at center is such a Panthers move. And it failing is even more of a Panthers thing.

There doesn't seem to be a of quality centers on the free agent market either. The only real hope the team is going to have is drafting a center and praying they he is an immediate hit. Sadly, they'll most likely miss out on the quality center prospects because of waiting/drafting other needs and have to stick with Corbett.

Corbett played some center in LA. I don’t know enough to say he is a bad choice or a good one. Maybe he is the guy it’s all fine. I think we react against it because we are uncertain.

Corbett hasn't played a snap at center during an NFL game. The only time he's been used at center was in camps and was quickly moved back to guard. The dude is not a center and trying to force him there will not bode well for the offense.

I am trying to see it from their perspective.

I see no signs that they are interested in a center--and they should be.

If they're dumb enough to not see the large hole at center, then this duo's tenure is not going to end well. The team's biggest need is a true center. Corbett will fail hard at center if he can even stay healthy. At this stage, Corbett is a high quality backup guard at best. If fans can see the need at center and Dan & Dave can't, they shouldn't have the jobs they've been given.
