I just thought we could have gotten more for Mark Williams.

He flunked a physical (allegedly), clearly didn't want to be here, and was in the last year of his contract. I'm actually surprised they were still able to get a couple of first rounders for him.

Well, he was in probably every NBA franchise's top 6 or 7.

Yeah, pretty much every pre-draft ranking I saw had him no lower than 6.

I don't know if he's gonna be any good or not, but it's not like this was some giant reach.

You're right it's unfair to say, "jokic should've been the pick" when no one knew he was that talented, everyone has misses. But, they had some bad bad misses on sure fire guys. Donovan Mitchell, Devin Booker, Beal, Divencenzo, Herro, just to name a few were MOCKED to us. All guys that were on their board for a fact.

Worst thing is, we were all set to draft Mitchell, but decided to grab Malik Monk when he dropped.

That’s kind of the point though. OKC was lucky enough to get the #2 pick for KD instead of the #1 pick for Oden and they did a fantastic job building around him. And what happens? He leaves to ring chase in larger markets and they have nothing to show for it. They are definitely a better drafting team than the Hornets, but it still comes down to the only shot we have is lucking into a generational player in the draft and winning before they leave, and that chance is diminished by the rigged lottery system.

Well, I was referring to the current OKC team. Who is their generational player? SGA? The Hornets were the ones who drafted him, at #11. And then traded him immediately. And even if he leaves OKC, they won 68 games this year, and are currently 2 games away from the conference finals. So, they've got a chance, which is something we've never said about the Hornets. My point being, even if the odds weren't stacked against us (which they are), we'd manage to screw it up anyway.

Even if the lottery was legit, it's just a bad, bad look for the NBA. We've heard scattered "rigged" claims before, but last night everyone seemed to be in agreement. Even Mavs fans.

Fans of bigger market teams don’t have the same experience as we do.

Thing is, we can't even blame it on being a small market. OKC is a smaller market than Charlotte, and they're competing. Just need solid ownership and a good front office. We've never had good ownership, and our last good GM was Bob Bass.

    I'm pretty sure people cared

People cared as it was happening, but after a year or two, most people had moved on.

There was no public outcry to bring the NBA back to Charlotte, it just happened.

Does anyone even care at this point that Charlotte has a team?

Nobody seemed to care when they relocated to New Orleans. And that was a pretty decent team.

Between the losing and the crappy tv deal, they've become an afterthought.

Cheifs have 144 yards of offense lol

    Mahomes has been putrid.

I'm arguing against the idea that Brady would beat this Eagles team.
