Yep. As the Covid world turns. Seems like the biggest thing was N95 masks, then ventilators, and on and on. With each crisis comes the realization that maybe it was not a big a crisis as stated. Toilet paper seemed like a crisis 5 years ago. Sooo much info has come and gone since all this started. But it still goes back to what we knew. Keep the old and sick/health issues isolated, and 90% of your problem solved. For some reason, we have taken the approach that everyone had to isolated, which meant nobody got isolated. It might have been cruel to lock up the elderly, so to speak, but because we did not, the virus seemed to ravage senior homes as expected. It happened in other countries too. UK and Italy had same issues. But yeah, Biden could have fixed all that, haha. Actually, I doubt any politician could have fixed it. They could have talked about it better, made us think they "cared" haha, but doubt the actual responses would have been a lot more effective

True Because Trump talks like a spoiled teenager, or worse, people automatically dismiss what he does because of what he says. It's like they would rather a politician lie to their face with grace and poise, than to listen to someone lie like a spoiled brat, haha. And it does not matter what the law is, people will believe what they want to believe. Biden can say anything now and will not be questioned, so most don't care whether it would do any good or can be done by law. It is just that is something different than Trump, so it has to be good.

Some are ultra political in nature and find that their favorite pol has had a hand in all good and that the opposition has a hand in all that is bad. Basically, from the beginning, our country, from the bottom to the top, left and right, have made what we now know as mistakes. If no vaccine comes into view by January, then the next administration will have to deal with it. And then, everyone will change their story. Trump folks will say Biden could have had this thing whipped if he were Trump and ABH will say, "you fugging idiot, he is doing everything he can". It's just the same push button response we get from most TBox guys. Never do they detail what is good, just that the opposite of Trump, is apparently the only good they see. Whether Trump or Biden is in office in late January, without a vaccine, we will still struggle through this mess for awhile longer

A bit jaded there aren't you Pollyanna. You forgot Russia and the post office. And he is as much your president as he is mine. Still, I hope the plasma release helps a ton of people. Maybe for you guys that are sooo caught up in the politics, people can still die until someone new is elected, then you can pull for the sick people. Us feeble minded folk will want whatever can help as soon as possible.
-
Yes Pollyanna, but that was explained in the press conference. You'd rather let folks die and put off for 6 more months to get the "official" results? Mayo clinic got big gov money for the trials. We average losing 1k per day and if we can save 3-400 people, you don't think it worth a shot?

The new plasma treatment is certainly good news. Not the vaccine, but a possible 1/3 less deaths and strain on the healthcare system is certainly a good start.

Probably about the best you will get.

He has some very wild videos out there, but some of the stuff is interesting. Conspiracy guy for sure

I remember watching the twin towers fall, but didn't believe it because it was a Foxnews feed. Did not feel the impact until watching the CNN feed of the towers going down.

And are both full of hot air

Speaking of Europeans, I suppose you guys did not watch the vids I posted a few days ago? Because if you did, you'd have to find ways to trash them. They are basically saying that all the masks and stuff might help a little, but not much. They also say that in hindsight, they should have protected the elderly, period. The rest of society, is by and large okay. Numbers according to them will be close to swine flu numbers when all said and done. There is a whole series of videos like the ones I posted from guys (doctors, scientists, etc) from all over Europe. But CNN or Fox will post a sensational headline of 75k cases one day, and you melt. And don't flatter yourselves acting like everyone that does not believe you is a moron. CRA did that for 3 years about Russia.

Just all the wave talk. Wave this, wave that, I think people are just parroting all the wave stuff

So when Biden wins, you guys will get in taxis going the opposite direction.

Separation is the key. We talked early early on about keeping people away from virus. But, we did not, in fact, we did the unthinkable and placed infected people into rest homes. Now we argue about "our rights" and try to shame others, placing blame is very childish and not participating in mitigation is the same. Look at Vietnam, they are back to normal because the did both. If you were found positive, you were not trusted to "self isolate". You were shipped out of town to an army base. Not living in a communist country is great "until" you have our political system and you try to herd all the cats in one direction. Germany is another good example. They absolutely did things like lock down rest homes, and even isolate the workers there. Sometimes paying them increased pay for the isolation. The rest of the country used common sense and mitigation measures. What makes us strong makes us weak. A smart US would understand that we are all one, but have different opinions and states have certain rights. Why not have certain states use the options applied in Germany and HK for instance, especially CA, AZ and FL where the elderly populations are huge. We have unique opportunities with 50 states (incubators if you will) to try different methods. As some states get better results, other states will follow. Primarily, protect the vulnerable and let the rest of society live with safe measures in place. But not here. We have pols that want to make as much gain or minimize political loss. The worst thing is that the people follow. Trump talks like such a child, but has seemed to give license to other children as they all are name calling embarrassments. All self serving. We seem to yell disparaging remarks at people that don't act like our particular political persuasion says they should. Like brainless drones. And, its an election year. I can't find many pols I respect. Trump? Cuomo? Pelosi? Give me a break. Biden is lucky not to have any responsibilities at the moment. When you ask, "which governor to you think handled it well", the answers and reasoning are astounding. Screwed we are.
