  1. Just all the wave talk. Wave this, wave that, I think people are just parroting all the wave stuff
  2. So when Biden wins, you guys will get in taxis going the opposite direction.
  3. Separation is the key. We talked early early on about keeping people away from virus. But, we did not, in fact, we did the unthinkable and placed infected people into rest homes. Now we argue about "our rights" and try to shame others, placing blame is very childish and not participating in mitigation is the same. Look at Vietnam, they are back to normal because the did both. If you were found positive, you were not trusted to "self isolate". You were shipped out of town to an army base. Not living in a communist country is great "until" you have our political system and you try to herd all the cats in one direction. Germany is another good example. They absolutely did things like lock down rest homes, and even isolate the workers there. Sometimes paying them increased pay for the isolation. The rest of the country used common sense and mitigation measures. What makes us strong makes us weak. A smart US would understand that we are all one, but have different opinions and states have certain rights. Why not have certain states use the options applied in Germany and HK for instance, especially CA, AZ and FL where the elderly populations are huge. We have unique opportunities with 50 states (incubators if you will) to try different methods. As some states get better results, other states will follow. Primarily, protect the vulnerable and let the rest of society live with safe measures in place. But not here. We have pols that want to make as much gain or minimize political loss. The worst thing is that the people follow. Trump talks like such a child, but has seemed to give license to other children as they all are name calling embarrassments. All self serving. We seem to yell disparaging remarks at people that don't act like our particular political persuasion says they should. Like brainless drones. And, its an election year. I can't find many pols I respect. Trump? Cuomo? Pelosi? Give me a break. Biden is lucky not to have any responsibilities at the moment. When you ask, "which governor to you think handled it well", the answers and reasoning are astounding. Screwed we are.

  5. America is totally doomed. We are reactionary, gullible, and ill informed. Our media outlets are bought and paid for. Everyone is looking for the most sensational story and someone to blame. Election year only makes it worse. Anyway, thought about numbers this morning and started looking at top 15s. Population Cases Deaths Deaths per Million CA CA NY NJ TX NY NJ NY FL FL MA CT NY TX CA MA PA NJ Ill RI Ill Ill PA DC OH GA MI LA GA AZ FL MI NC MA TX Ill MI PA CT DE NJ NC LA MD VA LA GA PA WA TN MD MS AZ MI OH AZ MA VA AZ IN I think Deaths per million is probably the best barometer with how states are handling the virus. Several states stand out in good and bad ways. Bad are everyone listed on the Deaths per million as they are all above the average per state except for AZ and IN. Some like TX, CA, NC are doing well. I know you have to keep it in perspective as it will change going forward. TX, CA, AZ and FL numbers are moving them up each day, but a long way to go to get as bad as the top 5 when looking at a percentage of population. Please get some football pics and stuff going soon.
  6. Antibodies might not hold the key, so all the testing could or could not be such a determining factor. Sweden going full bore now.
  7. Europe realizing that keeping the old folks isolated would have been the best idea from the beginning. We talked about this about 400 pages ago. Hindsight will always tell you what is best
  8. Yes, all "experts" are in agreement. Actually, a very good video. Common sense vs sensationalism. We are doomed in the US as politics drives everything.
  9. Tons of "experts" like this professor/scientist say it is fake news.
  10. I employ sarcasm on occasion, fyi
  11. There won't be history books by then. Every parent will just sign up for the digital version of history they'd like their kid to learn and it will be downloaded to their "code".
  12. Here we go, get out of the house. Work from yard. https://news.trust.org/item/20200721113713-a9lu2
  13. In Lounge, maybe we all drink a couple and then post, that should help hahahaahahahah
  14. Everyone in your world seems to be a genius or an idiot. Most of the folks I know are somewhere in between.
  15. Speaking about the "experts" It seems are now talking about who gets the vaccine first, you know like in November-January. If not mistaken, the "experts" were saying 2-4 years. Never know how it will shake out, so keep your powder dry. We might break all records by getting something like this or we might fall on our face. Just make sure you don't make an ass out of yourself by carrying the water for either side. This thing is what it is and we HOPE it can be something good very soon. Just don't bet your house on it.
  16. I think there are probably several reasons to keep research like this locked down. First to protect the work you have already accomplished and make sure it does not get infected itself. If they are trying to break into the system, then I would let the entire world know it and give them proof. I would also let them know that we do not mind working hand in hand with anyone to solve this crisis, but to come through the front door please.
  17. Might try to check out tonight. Would figure the asymptomatic people will be addressed in the documentary.
  18. He is a politician so I would expect like any good (not really) politician, he will make much fanfare about who gets it first. Expect medical personnel to be in front of the lines, as they should be and expect him to be crowing. This is politics, if it does not happen until after the election, then expect Biden to do the exact same thing if he wins.
  19. T cells have been mentioned in many articles. I just found this article a bit more informative than just the blurbs you hear, of course it was longer, thus the TLDR warning. Missing antibodies might not be an issue was good to hear
  20. For those with an attention span longer than a gnat, an interesting article. https://www.bbc.com/future/article/20200716-the-people-with-hidden-protection-from-covid-19
  21. So Fauci is a lefty? Looks like a curve ball coming
  22. But you add so much to the conversation.....
  23. So much better than thinking with your brain
  24. What most are saying, is that a truthful post, would include CNN, MSNBC, Govs of NY, NJ, LA, etc., not just the morons who watch one side of the political theater. "the moron" sucks up info at his own detriment by believing out of pocket, any of these manipulative dispensers of "news". The one sided arguments is how we continue to produce morons. The moron believing only Trump is headed for disaster. Conversely, the moron believing only Biden, or Pelosi is headed for the same destination. I still cannot believe any country in the world would dare elect people like this, or nominate them in the first place. If we can do that, then we are ripe for any sort of disaster that would demand facts. American morons, need no facts, we don't require them, ever. It is simple enough to say the R's like it or the D's like it. Then the morons turn the other way.
