  1. I wear boxer briefs but that does not make my opinions any better
  2. One good thing is that countries ARE taking different approaches to an unknown virus. As many incubators of different methods as we can get, will be good for fighting the next virus
  3. So it turns out we are more prepared?
  4. Just not on the huddle, humble gets checked at the door
  5. So many things could change. If remote is good for businesses, then business travel might not be needed. Airlines will become more vacation traveler oriented. As you mentioned, office spaces will go down in price. The boom will be in software/hardware to make everyone accessible along with changes to carry the needed bandwidth. Wish I could care enough about investing to have jumped on some tech companies already. Not sure if "conventions" will hold the water they once did either. Gatherings might be more entertainment oriented like sports and concerts, but the money companies invest in "booth spaces" might be better spent marketing their items from some sort of tech platform. Who knows, will be some changes for sure Guess I will still have to see the dentist, ugh
  6. New Zealand doing an excellent job
  7. Sweden is not a politically explosive as the US, so they can be more pragmatic in their approach. At least that is my thought Here, we do not prepare, overspend when it is going on and when over, and use political fear as our guidance.
  8. Supposedly, not the venue to make that argument, but whatever, I don't want to get banned again
  9. Did you read the article?
  10. Their model is close to what I was trying to discuss a couple weeks back. Basically, you quarantine the vulnerable, protect them, and the rest of society operates cautiously. Big paraphrase Long article, but worth the read
  11. The TB regulars now are going to enlighten this thread now. Guess I will go to work
  12. You are ax grinding again
  13. I have tried "discussion" on this thread before, to little success, but lets try again. I questioned our approach early on, so let's talk about this one. In the end, will the Sweden model, rather than the lockdown model be better suited for the US? https://www.nationalreview.com/2020/04/coronavirus-response-sweden-avoids-isolation-economic-ruin/
  14. Maybe he could sing a song at the beginning? I mean, dry is fine with me, just give me the facts
  15. No matter how many times I told you, you now find this news? The press and the people who follow them were spouting 1.7 million deaths and the end to society. Guess who gets to take credit now for it being 60k deaths. They made their beds.....
  16. The country at this point, would be better served if just Pence and the docs came out for 30 mins and gave updates. Then let the Romper Room ensue with Trump and the media. Nothing good comes out of their interactions anyway, just school kid silliness. Most Amercians would turn off the TV at that point
  17. The air borne part will reduce greatly, but the "touching" part probably will not
  18. It was not a statement, but a "what if" based on numbers and the fact that if the elderly population, (the ones dying primarily) had the convenience of a coronavirus vaccine, like they do the flu shot each year, would it have been the same? Not saying it was the flu, was not that simple
  19. As I said last week, the press conferences are so tiring and long, he should come out, say hello and it was a bad day, and give it over to the experts. Nobody needs to hear the words "very, very, tremendous" 92 times China and WHO do bear a lot of blame
  20. Please try to emphatically reread my post
  21. In the US, especially in an election year, nothing passes into the political realm, it is born into a political realm that already exists and dominates and manipulates every moment of society. Critical thinking is out the window, numbers are out the window. Driving emotions is key to getting people to vote. Fear is one of the biggest ones.
  22. As I have mentioned for quite sometime, as soon as they get the test out for antibodies, I think it will be a game changer. The ones being sold from China are junk, big surprise, and the US is ultra cautious and slow, but when it comes, it will take a lot of guesswork out of our society.
  23. Settle down guys I was sarcastic to one of the political guys the other day when he was name calling and told him to take it to the TB and guess who got banned? Just get back to virus talk
  24. Well, at least you are emphatic, otherwise I might dismiss this guarantee
