I want. He's on a prove-it deal, and at his peak had a better season than Darnold could ever dream of. And if it doesn't work out, almost nothing lost.
It is a little bit intriguing if the pick is low/set for next year as a conditional pick or something based on performance.

I agree. We could get a stud at 6…plug-in baker behind that line and with our weapons…if he balls out we can sign him or tag and trade him and if he sucks/attitude problem/injured…he goes out the door and takes Rhule with him.
Not saying I’d do it…depends on their evaluation of Pickett. Whichever one Rhule wants to do pick the opposite

Nah, just up to the Jets. The Giants may be in play for a QB. It's doubtful that the Texans or Detroit take one that high. I think the Texans sit tight and take their guy next year in a MUCH better QB class. Remember they just got a TON of draft capital. Same with Detroit. They are on the hook with Goff for 3 more seasons. No need to draft his replacement right now.
Oh yeah I was just saying since I hate the falcons, wasn’t something I thought they’d do

I’ll cross my fingers that they trade the farm to Detroit to jump in front of us to draft him haha

If Pickett’s hands were bigger that receiver in the first video would have caught the ball that hit him right in the hands

If you keep him, that’s what you do. Make him Debo Samual type player.
Atlanta used Patterson similarly, he’s a matchup nightmare

You never know the way players have pulled out/or just not signed “done” deals…I’m just glad they’re finally taking the oline seriously

A competent coach should be able to get this roster to 8-9 wins. It’s a 17 game schedule. Rhule needs to prove he is one. Everything we’ve seen prior has been a poo show. The fact they are addressing the oline finally and making some smart moves will make me be much more ok if they do decide to draft a rookie QB. A monster oline paired with a good defense helps everyone

Not to mention Mahomes, Allen, Watson, Lamar Jackson , the GOAT etc depending on your flavor of QB don’t grow on trees. They are very hard to find and not one of those guys were considered “can’t miss” elite level QBs. None of them were the first pick. Building a roster that can win/be competitive without one of those guys makes us A) more attractive when a Stafford or whomever does become available. B) helps any QB be more successful and is especially important with a young or rookie QB. This is exactly what they should do.
Helps us whether Rhule and them get lucky on a rookie /throw poo at the wall level QB this year and also makes us more attractive for a good Coach hire and QB next year if it shakes out that Rhule just can’t coach his way out of a paper bag

I actually think we could get him for a 4th (or at most a 3rd in next year's draft). Which with his youth and and how he has played in his 22 starts, is a bargain. A no lose situation. Low salary requirements and major upside make it a no brainer.
I hope the FO sees it this way

Love seeing the mean streak. Yeah we need some of that on this team.

Not if we move Chinn to linebacker.
I hope so. Who knows between Shaq, the new LB and Chinn we might could actually run a 4-3 when teams are attempting to run the ball down our throat haha. They barely had to attempt last year. We can’t win anything giving up rush yards like that

I think Tretter is 31, but he is a more established C. At 31, a center has 5 good years left. Bozeman was a G for a while but settled into his more natural position.
Right I was thinking he was the older between the 2…love their running game..I like Bozeman a little better cause age and can play guard too. Hell I wouldn’t be upset if they signed both of them haha. I’m all in on the build a monster oline finally(like Dallas, Cleveland, Baltimore have). Benefits us regardless of who’s the coach next year and whoever is under center. Not to mention CMC, Hubbard, Foreman…

Bozeman is a C who is excellent as a run blocker and a pass blocker. He is 27, so you can offer him a longer deal (3-4 years). To have Bozeman, Corbett, and Moton on one side of the ball, you would have the right side of the LOS locked down for the next 3 years. Furthermore, you would be (perhaps) one player away from a dominant OL, depending on what you decide to do with Brady Christensen and how well he plays there.

Yep..him or tretter from Cleveland. Both young and bring that afc north physicality

OK, say we sign Watson and lose our pass rush (Reddick gone, Burns in trade)---we have 1 decent (free agent) safety (Chinn in trade) and a weakened run defense (Jones in Buffalo). That will degrade the corners, exposing Henderson and Taylor--and Horn at times. I am guessing the defense would fall to the middle of the pack at best. At LT we will have BC, at LG we will have ????? , at C we have Elflien, at RG and RT we have good players. We would have little cap room to upgrade, and in this year's draft, we have a fourth rounder and two fifths. Next year, our first pick is in the third round. The following year? Third round.
That means we'd have to build through free agency---not the recipe one needs when the QB is taking in 14% of the cap.
And he is a sex offender, convicted or not. If cheering for him does not bother you a little, your priorities are a bit off.
While the idea of Watson intrigues me if we could add an offensive lineman, the upgrade on offense is likely to be offset by the downgraded defense. So yeah, I would like to see Watson come here, but I also see why it would take something more than 1 QB to make us a winner.
Right…jump on either Tretter or the C from Baltimore(bozeman?) and Armstead(depending on health)/vet tackle or one at 6.
And whatever they need to do to fix the run D..Bobby wagner, DT, scheme, I don’t care. Cam, Sam , minshew…late draft pick QB competition…Rhule sink or swim. Strong oline/running game and strong defense..a competent coach can get 8/9 wins out of that. If not…give Rhule das boot
new coach/have picks and money to get a QB and oline to protect em.

If it’s really down to the saints and falcons hopefully he keeps them guessing and the panthers find out early enough and are ready to *snatch* up any FA’s that will hurt the saints and build a monster oline…armstead etc. fug the falcons..if they make this trade their roster is GOATfuged ha

Such a gutsy team team win. I hope Darnold is ok. With where the team is right now IF Darnold looks like he’s missing time (even a week or 2 we’ll need someone) should the Panthers trade for a Minshew or who would be an option?
