Fitterer should have a good read on jimmy g. If he believes he's capable of enough to be be the guy he could work. Sf wanted a backup to jimmy g at first. They can get cap relief by switching out jimmy g for teddy. Now if that's not enough, I don't think I'm buying in on him with that contract.

Darnold is closer to damaged good. The seeing ghosts was funny and all but damn if he didn't play like it the last year +. I doubt he is cheap enough. Also is he really good enough or another tannehill lite, good but not enough to push the team over the top?

Minshew is a wild card. I'm not ready to throw a bunch of money and picks after him. He is middling. We have a little less than that so he may get is to what .500? Do I see a SB champ in that guy? Eh not really. So do we want to be on the mediocrity treadmill with him?

He shouldn’t cost us much of anything to get...IF he gives us a Case Keenum/Minnesota style playoff run from a few years ago I’d say it’s worth it. At least he’s not afraid to chuck it and it’d be nice to see what Moore and Robbie can do when they’re actually given opportunities downfield. Just my opinion...I also wouldn’t mind darnold at a low price...garopolo has had too many injuries

2 years $5.5M total; a bit surprised we didn't want to match that but we can probably replace him for cheaper with a later round pick in the draft or a different FA. He filled in admirably this past season but isn't a guy who should be your #1 (which he is in Atlanta as of now...).

I agree..it’s possible he chose Atlanta because of opportunity to start/have a bigger role than here behind CMC

  3. He doesn't have the hands of Jeffrey not even close and Jimmy super soft. If you're going trade up in the 2nd, get Fisher to protect Cam or Devin Smith who has what a 39 inch vertical, very fast and is made for the deep ball. One thing we needed last season was SPEED, more of it.

Smith was already gone man,...hey maybe you're right and he's the worst thing to happen to us since Clausen...it just seems too early for that and I have a hard time believing Gettleman whiffed that bad seeing as he was a scout for decades..we shall see

  4. That was not a good pick at all. He's not worth giving up another pick. He's not worth 2 for 1

IF he's even close to Jimmy Graham or Alshon Jeffery then yes he is. Gettleman hates trading picks...the fact that he did means something. We all know he is not a knee jerk reaction or panic move guy....he must love this kid ALOT. I'm sorry but I trust him over Kiper,McShay, and Mayock...all of whom hated us picking Cam and even our whole draft last year...which in hindsight was one of the best in the league. Just maybe DG knows his poo.

    Here's to hoping so...cheers boys!

  5. Philly isn't a number 2. Like you said that's as we sit right now but if come September and we're banking on any of the guys we got right now to step up and be a number 2 we're going to run into the exact same problems we did last season.

It seems a bit early to make that conclusion just because he wasn't drafted...Don't get me wrong I think and hope we draft a receiver too...but I just think when Philly got the chance last year he performed. He's got speed and hands, no telling what another offseason with Proehl can get out of him

  6. You've mentioned this before, but I will note it again, we have not had a 1,000 yard rusher since 2009.

Olsen, and KB are damn good, but we really need Cotchery to step up this season.

As we sit right now I hope and think Philly takes that number 2 spot...I'm hoping that being year 2 and not having to worry about being a returner he can take a big step up...We shall see

  7. Nothing that Gettleman stated said that we wouldn't draft a tackle early....Do you think he's going to come out and say "Hey we're taking the best tackle on the board?"  of course not...We brought in Cotchery and  Avant last year and still drafted KBB...Honestly what other tackle was available in FA? Jake Long can't stay on the field, that's why the Rams dropped him......Gettie says relax

  8. With only 7 attempts.  Not bad for Williams.

Also, his first three carries of the 3rd qtr, when the Giants still had a shot, were 2 yards, 8 yards, and 27 yards.  That is good blocking, running and play calling.

That's an awesome point. So he was averaging over 4 yds a carry his first 7 and at 10 carries he had 67 yards so 6.7 per carry. Imagine if he was better than just ok?
