Well, they did their homework on Johnson before trading for him according to Dan. That makes me feel more relaxed. They were obviously OK with what they found out. They sound excited about his ability to get open.

One thing that I found interesting is that Mingo was ranked 34th by Next Gen Stats. I don't think that too bad by a rookie in an effed up situation.

*Per NFL Next Gen Stats, the highest-ranked Carolina receiver last season in terms of being wide open (at least five yards of separation) when targeted was rookie Jonathan Mingo, who ranked 34th at 16%. Johnson ranked 13th at 22%."

Whaaatt....no way!! You mean all those overthrown balls from bryce really werent mingos fault after all?!!

That's been my go to every mock draft lol

    Chop Robinson

    Adonia Mitchell

    Darius Robinson

    Xavier Legette

    Edgerrin Cooper

    Troy Franklin

    Xavier Worthy

    Tvondre Sweat

If we draft any of these players in the second round. I will be happy. These are my personal top guys.

  3. Gotta say i like this...still not getting overly excited tho. With all things considered the defense wasnt much of problem last year. THe improvement will come from the offense and we just gonna have to wait on that.

Their organization has a history of success. Generally always in the playoff discussion.

You guys do this every year. You get yourself amped up over a FA signing or drafting some project and 98% of the time the ceiling is JAG. I’m just bringing it back down to earth. It’s OK to be hopeful but I’m done being excited until we prove something.

To be clear, i was being sarcastic and mocking Rayzor. I agree with you.

Can you imagine how long it would take the fans to boo Bryce off the field if Cam was sitting on the bench? Lol

LOL....ah man Bryce would definitely be mentally shot at that point. Cant save em at all.

johnny football and The Golden Calf of Bristol say whats up

I cant believe its 2024 and its still hard for people to imagine that just because a college player wins a Heisman it doesnt mean they are built for success in pro football.

    I mean its really astonishing.

Better use of energy than expecting things to go south

Who is expecting? I gave a reasonable statement that happens. Wide receiver is the most diva position in football next to qb, when certain guys dont get the ball they lash out and show questionable behavior not every receiver is gonna have a level held like thielen when they dont get the ball. Like someone just said the steelers track record with problem child receivers is crazy for this alone and then they get rid of all of them eventually so its just something to keep an eye on. It sounds like you just need to do some more research before just assuming "fine" as if its nothing there at all.

If we were somehow able to land Gilmore and Clowney I think it would be extremely hard not to get excited about the upcoming season.  Evero would have many players, not only in the starting lineup but in backup roles, that could make this defense an exciting unit.   If our offense can put some points on the board, we could be a surprise team in 2024.

Houston did it, why not us.

Im still not getting excited....i learned my lesson with this team.

  9. Yes i have liked the improvements on offense and we can still add a top receiver, Center and a Tight End through the draft.  There will be no excuses to not atleast perform up to the expectations of a number 1 overall pick thats for sure.

The vision is not really making sense at the moment. Canales wants to run the ball and dink and dunk to take the pressure of Bryce, but the defense is going to be giving up so many points he's gonna have to sling it. I'd rather that happen and see if he can do it so they can make a decision on whether he's the guy or not by mid season. Not expecting many wins with this current formula but at least they haven't made any dumb trades yet

We are gonna have to ride this thing a little longer til its painfully clear Bryce isnt the answer.

If Chop Robinson is there he would be the no brainer pick for me. Then follow with massive DT Sweat at 39 and we have a very exciting defense. Then go best WR in the 3rd round.

Glad you said this, i am really high on Sweat and think him and Brown would make a great tandem. Nobody would be able to run the ball on us.
