Winning the off season < winning games.

Dont bring him back then, but i guarantee you this is the year when the scapegoats are gonna run out. The real problem is gonna reveal itself.

I feel like the optimists admit mistakes far more than the pessimists admit they were wrong.
If Bryce has a really good season next year, you'll have a lot of the posters that trash him every post - and they know who they are - pretend like they never said anything or just make a new account because they don't want to save face
The truth is, the jury is still out on Bryce. In a season of bad he made some great throws, zipped some touchdowns in tight windows, had some long drives, and had several clutch 4th down throws, but those posters pretend like he didn't show a single NFL skill for the sake of their Colin Cowherd-level hot takes.
Thankfully we didn't trade two firsts and if Bryce is just as bad we have our first next year.
Cool. The thing is im not rooting for Bryce to be bad, if Bryce is bad then that means the team will be bad i dont want that because i want to win. I just dont see a future with bryce and i understand thats gonna take time to play out...it doesnt mean i hoping for it..its just more of an inevitable vibe. The funny thing is his supporters cant wait to rub it in everybody face but wont own up to it when he doesnt prove to be guy. I will just be glad we have moved on and start searching for another QB. I dont care to rub it in anybody's face.

If JPJ falls, its probably the easiest pick to make in the whole draft, even tho i think its some good centers available later....its a easy pick for a team that needs as many good decisions as possible.

His year 1 was the biggest cluster fug of a team offensively anyone has ever seen. When multiple talking heads say he wasn’t even a chance it might be wise to take their word and wait and see. Frank Reich and his staff was literally work than the Texans David Culley staff.
And yet the same talking heads are saying right now that HE MUST prove it this year or else. Why is that? More importantly why cant these people tell us how much Bryce is worth in a trade right now. Because i hear a lot of dogging of that question from anonymous execs.

He was an MVP in year 1? Don’t make me do the thing where I have to state the fact that Cam walked into an offense with two established RBs, a hall of fame WR, and two very good TEs. Combine that with the fact that he’s Cam Newton yea things looked a little differently his rookie year.
And yet Cams talent alone showed clearly even with having all those things around him, if you had sent Clausen out there, we would been just as bad as we were the previous and dont act like that isnt true.

You’ve already written off Bryce when no football has been played in 2024.
No....But i am worried about 2023 when he wasnt even ranked among 32 QBs, and now going into year 2 when everybody said he would use the off season to approve mentally and physically i havent noticed anything yet so far, and this was the guy who was drafted number 1 overall. But i shouldnt be concerned?

Scott Fitterer said this practically verbatim before the draft to justify the selection.
But now it's apparently a wholly unreasonable and absurd expectation.
The level of coddling is worse than with Darnold. And that's saying something.
Exactly. A year later, now we are asking for too much and being unreasonable. I also remember when people weren't worried about his size because the refs would protect him from big hits unlike Cam. People actually said that, now its irrelevant when brought up in the future. lol

Who do you want to draft next year?
How can i answer that if no college ball has been played yet?

The offseason program started today.
Did that just mean the teams off season program? Or could have got himself in the gym when the season ended?

If you vacuum QB play like this you’re not gonna have a good time…Cam did this too.
Oh lord.....please dont bring Cam into this. Just do yourself a favor on that lol

The same people in here defending bryce told us a year ago around this time he would add muscle and weight when he was able to start an off season program now thats irrelevant when the time has come. Not surprising lol

Man, April 26 from about 6am to 6pm will be HEATED on here
I have been heated at the last couple drafts with Scott running things. Hopefully it will be different this year

I honestly wouldnt mind XL falling to the third round. That would be great to get to wait and snath him there. Its just thats a lot of picks in between that timeframe so you never know.

No QB this year. All in on Bryce this year. No QB Battle distractions. Make it or break it year.
Thats not necesarrily how it works, if Bryce stinks it up again you need somebody that can come in and perform. We as fans look at as tanking if he does and you pick your qb next year so its cool but the team just isnt gonna operate like that and the players will not be comfortable with that. If anything a QB battle should push bryce, if it doesnt then he is a lost cause.

Houston thinks they can win sooner than later is what it comes down too.

Except he’ll be an unrestricted free agent so there’s no guarantee they get to bring him back if they want to. Pretty strange deal.
Well thats why it goes back to what i said if he performs well, Houston feels like they are building a good culture over there players want to be apart of and problem think they can keep him longterm if everything goes right next year. Diggs has already spoken highly about stroud if im not mistaken so the interest was already there.
-
If Diggs performs well then they bring him back on a new deal, if he carries over his problems from buffalo then they cut ties after this year with nothing attached. I get it.

I mean, I won't be mad if we draft McConkey, but I just personally ain't drafting a receiver at 33 that doesn't have WR X upside. I'm also not crazy about picking receivers who are feather weights (Worthy), can't get open (Coleman), and can be easily redirected (several). I'm picking the guy with the potential to be a beast. Y'all know it's Legette. If I can't get him, then I'm probably picking Corley.
I know that the OP said this isn't about 33, but if not what's the point? Hell if I just had to pick whom I consider the best, it would probably be Nabers, but Harrison and Odunze would be easy picks to make.
Im glad you mentioned this, Ladd just screams no.2 or slot guy. He just seems like a replacement for theilen then we are right back to searching for another receiver
