  1. CJ Stroud is just as slight as Young, he just has more of a target to be crushed because he’s bigger. Young is a very small target, you have to hit him just right to get dangerous force to his body.

i think, for a QB, recent years have shown that the increase in out of pocket plays and scrambling, their ankles are the most vulnerable part. If I were either QB I would be working on strengthening and increased flexibility in my ankles.

  2. Y’all are crazy. Take the man in the second round, if he’s there (which he won’t be). Do you know how easy it is to put on 9 pounds when you’re that big? The man has a lot going on, and with his tape, he doesn’t need to do anything but get medically examined.

Some guys are just so good they can just turn it in when they want. Jalen Carter is I don’t have to work hard good.

multiple front defense with D. Brown and Burns and you all are too good to add the best D Lineman to come out in a decade. Pffffft

Neither player is as good as the guys on the roster.  Stop trying to be clever.

Witherspoon is a great talent but we need offensive players right now.

I’m not trying to be clever. I’m a loser who does mock draft simulations 30 times a day, and if we stay at 9 and Tyree Wilson is gone along with a QB we like, the best talent available id Gonzales, Porter Jr. and OTs, and while I’m not against drafting Broderick Jones and sticking him at guard and letting him be our swing tackle, I think the smart move is to strengthen your defense in the years to come with shut down cornerbacks. Our new D-coordinator has said that most sacks now are coverage sacks. Get the coverage and the sacks will come.

    That pick makes no sense.

1.) We already spent a 3rd round pick on CJ Henderson.

2.) Deonte Jackson will count $13,589,167 against our cap in 2023. Are we going to sit a 13 million dollar CB? No.

This draft pick is no happening and that's easy to predict. We will either select a QB, or maybe get a vet like Carr. Even with a vet QB we don't go CB imo.

Doesn’t matter. We have a problem at no. 2 corner and it needs to be fixed now. We can’t assume Donte will be fully healed, and while I like Henderson and think he’s improving, with a frequently injured Jayce Horn, Henderson at CB 1 and our current back ups won’t cut it in the playoffs. We can’t John Fox scheme our way out with mediocre CB talent in this day and age. Team with the best CBs are going to be in it at the end. Most sacks are now coverage sacks. Go get the coverage.

  5. I think Gonzales would be a better fit for our likely scheme, and would be super excited if we got he or Porter at 9. Cheap pro bowl corner talent in this league is such an advantage. Having said that, it would be real hard for me not to trade down with Detroit to snag Jalen Carter. If we’re going to run light (in numbers) fronts then it’s imperative that we have Brown and another DT who can absolutely wreck a blocking scheme. Get the generational talent if it’s that close within your reach. Detroit needs another DB too, feed them 1 second and 1 third rounder this year plus next year’s second.

  6. image.thumb.png.b14d37da4c7829e2dc7758920d30fd3b.pngSolidify O-line talent available so it’s guaranteed stout for the next 4-5 years. DE is so deep this draft, so use one of the 2nd round picks to fill that gaping hole in our defense. Then, get an offensive weapon or two. Sell the farm next year for Maye or Williams who will come into one of the best O-lines in the league and Frank Reich

  7. If top half of the draft goes QB crazy, there is going to be some excellent talent that could fall to us. I’d jump out of my chair if Paris Johnson, Tyree Wilson or Quentin Johnson fell to us. I’d much rather continue to build the lines and hell I’d be fine with picking a shutdown corner in the first (Gonzalez or Porter Jr.). We have a well built team, but we’re getting thin on the lines and if we can add some freaks to either side of the lines we’ll be set up very well for the next three years. Give Darnold time and we can win. Let’s not give up the franchise for some decent QBs in the draft when there is so much dynamic talent on the lines in this draft.

My dream scenario is trading back and selecting TE Michael Mayer while acquiring an additional 1st in 2024. Then using that, if need be, to make sure we land Drake Maye next year. Just let Corral have his chance next year.

I think this is best too. The defensive talent at the top of this draft is unreal. I’m not wild about entrusting the franchise’s next 3 years to any of these QBs. Trade back. Get the best player available in the middle of round one, and have all the ammunition in the world to go after the first pick next year to draft Maye. Maye is worth it.

Thats very intriguing and would fill a massive hole for us, and really round out the defense.  I'd be willing to throw a 2nd and a 4th their way for him.  However, its the contract that he wants that is concerning.  IDK if we could afford him.

As great as it would be to have him, we can't have top dollar invested in RB and MLB in the modern NFL unless they are CMC and Luke.
