I could be waaaaaaay off about Kon. I do fault myself into, to borrow a NFL phrase heavily "RAS" nerd on players, too much. There are PLENTY of athletic freak shows that are playing overseas(or Amazon delivery) cause they never figured out NBA ball. I can easily miss seeing the talent. Plus did he only have 2 dunks on the season??(is that for real??) I didn't watch over a few hours of duke, but not one point did I think "That Kon guy is a top 4 pick in the upcoming draft".

IMO I still foresee Ball bringing the ball up, doing his weak isolation game and never even looking for Kon. That's his best trait according to everyone, shooting right? I do not see ball, bridges, miller or even williams making the extra pass to Kon for him to shoot a 3.

Then defense-wise, Im not ready to type the amount of questions I foresee in his ability for guarding NBA SGs or bench SFs for that matter. Not that NBA players care to defend, but still.....

I just feel he's a bad fit for the current hornets, trades are taking place tho... Liam to me is a decent comp for Kon and he fell some, but was a 29 overall pick. Still around 13-21 was the good solid range for Liam and I thought the same for Kon.

This is just a classic case of I need to see it. It add to this, Kon is like garlic. Ball is like sugar and Miller is like flour. Mix it together and chef Lee is not going to get me to eat that dish.....

Honestly I don't know why Im this vocal about Kon. In past years I would be patience and not post and see what the kid has. The other side, insert classic white boy terms here- _____, ______, _______< etc >. Hornets do desperately need them. His crafty back door cuts, his willingness to stay a extra 2 hours to refine lees plays, keep playing with bruised limbs. I heard from many reports he's mentally tough and hornets by all gods need that. God they are such pussys.

I hope Im wrong and if so, I will give Kon his just props.

I'm with you on this, I just don't see it.

Does anyone besides me smell something strange coming from the Florida Panthers?

Somehow, they've succeeded in keeping 3 guys in Eckblad, Marchand, and Bennett who all would have easily commanded at least $1.5M or more on the open market.

    Jus' sayin'

1.5M wouldn't be more than the respective tax difference.... it really is one hell of an advantage for Texas,Florida, and Nevada teams.

    This. To me its:

    slavin - Eckblad or Anderson

    chatty - Boom

    Burns - Walker

ghost is nice but he just doesn’t play defense and it out of position waaay too much.

You should know better than this rod will not play anyone on their offside unless forced too by injuries littleraly 0% chance of this

Best I can come up with baring doing trades of some sort. That last pairing would be a disaster I think but at least it's the third pair. lol

Burns was actually pretty solid defensively its his offense that's fallen off a cliff

If Svech is being traded, the package coming back the other way would be worth it.  I don't think our FO would do it otherwise.

Absolutely would have to be anther young scorer with either ELC time or a long term contract...

Could see maybe Kyrou or Robertson....

But I really just dont see him being traded you dont trade your leading post season scorer on a long term deal when he isn't even in his prime yet..   not to mention unless you get more than one of those guys at best it would be lateral with unknown team chemistry.

If the Canes don't bring back Tyson Jost or Jack Roslovic, is Tanner Jeannot an option?

    https://www.prohockeyrumors.com/2025/06/senators-expected-to-show-interest-in-tanner-jeannot.html

Possible, he is physical and a forchecker but not a needle mover, but i wouldnt mind it, although I think we have enough 4th line grinders right now between Carrier Robinson and Janakowski  down there, i actually really love our 4th line.

We need scoring in the top 6, and a RHD at this point its definitely coming via trade.

Rasmus Andersson I hear may be on the market, it feels like every couple of seasons someone links us to Erik Karlsson.

As far as centers go,  Marco Rossi (even though we have a ton of smurf already)

Jordan Kyrou is an intriguing option if he is available.

At this point i think Rod should just move Jarvis to his natural center position to give us a 1B center...   yes hes also a smurf but he plays way bigger than he is stylistically.

    Source?

Completely unsubstantiated, nothing burger, HOF boards or Google....

    Just gas bags on X....

If anything its someone inquired about him and as due diligence the canes listened lol.

    Sounds like total bs.

  8. And pesce a late and lots others tbh

Heck Morgan Geekie who was our 3rd rounder is now a 30 goal center man...

Canes are very good at identifying talent....

That said given you almost never see NHL talent immediately there isnt much hype with the draft.

I get that, but not a lot of UFA top RHDs out there, unless you want to give Eckblad $9-10M. Matter of fact, Eckblad may be the only top line D-man who's unrestricted.

Better look for a trade somewhere.

If they don't pursue and get Ekblad I'd be shocked if it isnt addressed via trade because of the draft capital/space we have.

lol Hornets trading starters for future picks just to pick dudes like Kon. Yeah, thats like Panthers trading a 1st rounder for 5-6 rounders just to bust. Why does Charlotte even have a basketball team?

Well the NBA got smart and took it away for a while.....

    Then we got the bobnets

He'll be traded. He listed two teams he did NOT want to play for. Hornets and Jazz.

Lmfao I always find this line dumb as hell and funny....  the only say he has if is he plays in the NBA or not.....

    Ass to the fire baby.

Jazz made the right call hornets gonna get that egg face again
