I'd get Washington for extra protection for Young... TE with the blocking ability of an OT.
Still got Brents at corner, who we're pretty high on. Sanders who we met with...
Or BPA... Idunno how you pass on Meyer or Hyatt is they're available. I'm thinking we trade back. That said, Edge is still a need.
Yeah Meyer seems like the best all around

I think I saw 2-3 on there. I love watching these guys cut back across the field even when it’s for a loss sometimes. Dante Hall and Devin Hester were so amazing to watch. I’d love to have our own version someday.

I love how huge/strong Darnell Washington is, he could be a dominant run blocker if he wants.

I’m so excited about day 2 I assume this means we’ll trade down to disappoint me lol. Won’t be mad though we certainly need more bodies.

If the Steelers don’t take Porter with the top pick in the 2nd rd, I’d be shocked.
Damn I didn’t think about that, yeah Pittsburg would riot wouldn’t they?

I feel like Person is just flipping a coin to see if he will look smart or not lol

I really hope we don't make the Cam mistake again. "Oh, this guy is so good he doesn't need any help so we can spend all our resources on defense now!"
Seahawks did too with Wilson.

It’s been so obvious that they’re going to take a QB that this just seems unhinged.
Having this much of an irrational chip on your shoulder only works if you’re Michael Jordan, otherwise wake up and smell the roses.
Hope it works out for him.

Stop with the trades. One more player isn't going to change our team one way or the other. Quit giving up picks
I’d love to trade up for Joey Porter Jr

He had two picks for the Arizona revenge game in 09 IIRC. He was Drafted during the legendarily bad 09 and 10 Hurney draft classes.

I wouldn’t be mad but I think the goal for this team is pretty much “win now” mode. They need to support their #1 qb as much as possible and show that we are heading in the right direction. Also it won’t hurt if we can get those future picks we traded into the 20s, it doesn’t really matter but it will make the trade look “smart”.

It’s better for business to keep it under wraps. More speculation and higher initial ratings. More ad sales.

Roger Goodell with start things off saying with the first pick of the draft the Carolina Panthers will pick and then a ? and the first commercial break about Doritos will start. Wouldn't' that be our luck.
I’m sure we’ll take the full 5 mins too.

I have my complaints about Rivera but this is way too much

Nah, it's awesome. Drafting a RB in the top 10 is a colossal mistake.
It’s just a race to see if they can become SB caliber while he’s on his first contract.

The animus towards Rhule is weird. All he did was suck in the NFL. He didn’t do anything outside of football to really warrant much hate. lots of college coaches sucked in the NFL too, who knows how Nebraska could go.

Cam wouldn't be a great mentor for Young. Their styles are almost the opposite and Cam was an absolute beast physically but a lot of the negative intricacies he had never improved that much. He was a great qb in his prime, I'm not sure about helping coach up a young guy.
For real even in that pro day promotional film he’s still all arm on those throws, it’s like he never had to use his torso throwing. I’m sure that contributed to his shoulder issues.

Only one team ends up happy at the end of the season. Winning more games is a good thing no matter what.

I'd take the brain of Peyton but the early career slipperiness of Russ.
I feel like Young is going to take a lot of sacks and prob have a lot of deep INTs early in his career. Just like the urge of a rookie RB want to bounce things outside it feels like he’s so used to success it’s going to to be hard to realize he probably can’t bail out of a pocket the same way.
-
It’s probably already been said but Wilson is much “bigger” than Young in many ways, it’s not an accurate comparison. His wingspan and hand size are off the charts relative to his height.

Can’t. It’s such a huge fuging mistake.
It can’t be that bad. I don’t think drafting one of of not the highest rated QB in any draft is a mistake. They are shooting their shot and trying to support the QB in the process. If it blows up it blows up, but at they’re trying.

I’m as excited as I can be. There has been so much change I can’t help but have lowered expectations.
I kind of worry that the patience has run out on losing even though you would want a new coach to get a few years. Hopefully Reich starts hot.

Damn! Sometimes I feel like we’d have just as much luck drafting based on fun coincidences like these.
