It’d be pretty hilarious. Even though Richardson has potential it’d be a bad decision to take a guy who isn’t NFL ready at 1.
I think it’d be funny if one day a team trades up to #1 only to trade down multiple times for an overall better haul.

You shouldn’t trade up to #1 to compromise on anything. Smarts/talent can be evaluated subjectively but size is what it is.

I wouldn’t mind drafting a prototype of a “field general” MLB in this draft. I haven’t heard any buzz about one though.
I’m glad we’re keeping Shaq for consistency and he’s a solid player. He’s been around a while and provides a connection to teams of the past which I like.

Extend it out a year, but also convert the majority of his base to bonus and be done with it.
They said it’s a 2 year deal so you might have it on the money.

I’d like to think Corral is worth at least a BLT or Fried Bologna with fresh tomato

I’m not going to fret about it but it’s such a big freaking risk. They better nail it or we’re poo for another 3-4 years, looking for another coach again.
I’d rather be conservative but that doesn’t guarantee success either. At least pre-season and this season will be so much more hopeful.

I’d rather not take the risk but the team is kind of in a mediocre purgatory. Have to either blow it up or take a shot. Just hope it doesn’t make all these coaches leave lol

Posting this again: At this point last year …. Malik Willis was projected to be a top 3 overall pick after the combine and pro day.
dont fall for the hype machine and get angry if your team doesn’t draft who the media wants you to love.
Players rise and fall in projections(and the draft) all the time. There’s no comparison between Richardson and Willis. The comparison is lazy.

Sauce had a great year but Jaycee has more experience than him and is better than him imo. Interesting video but you have 1 year in the league. Why are you making reviews about other players? Lol
Gardner’s resume so far is untouchable, like the Barry Sanders of CBs at this point in time.

Bridge QB while they develop a QB? I think it’s important to note that both Reich and Fitterer won Super Bowls with 3rd Round QB’s. I would not discount Corral and/or another QB drafted this year in the 2nd or 3rd round paired with a vet QB that knows Reich’s system.
Jacoby Brissett played for Reich in Indy and will be a Free Agent. Two other names to possibly keep an eye on especially if they get cut are Nick Foles and Carson Wentz. None of these would be seen as an answer for QB1 but they would all know Reich’s system and more importantly able to help with developing a young/rookie QB of the future.
I’m excited to see Corral with a QB Guru of a coach. His release is the fastest I can remember, would love if he could make it in the NFL.

Reich said in his presser today that he built his staff with a plan in place to where if someone gets hired away, the replacement would then be ready to go. He essentially hired coordinators and their replacements already in order to preserve continuity. I don't know how often teams do that, but that's pretty smart to me.
I’m pretty surprised how stupid a lot of coaches are. Just hiring whomever.

No way. Young and/or Stroud could end up being busts. One thing is for sure, we would suck for all years of their rookie contract with no first round pick until 2026. This type of move only makes sense when you have an Andrew Luck or Trevor Lawrence type qb coming out.
Yeah the paradox is any QB worth trading up for would never have a team trade out of the #1 spot though.
It seems risky but I don’t blame them for trying. I’d rather just stay put and take a chance on Richardson. Or maybe trade up 1-2 spots for Richardson. Nobody in this draft seems like a sure thing. I’d rather not risk it.

Here we are ready to take on the rest of the league following this trade.
This is what I can’t get past. You trade up for stroud then maybe you draft nothing but O-line and receivers for the next 2-3 years for whatever you have left.

I guess Hopkins won’t come here now lol
I don’t care how much time has passed that’s gross.
Delhomme putting the razzle dazzle on Hall to win that game in 09 was pretty funny though.

I like how everyone seems to have worked in various positions and higher positions than the ones they have here.

I’m glad Tepper is at least trying some different approaches. Hopefully it all sinks in. No guarantees. Building a stable perennial winner would be a massive improvement.

Not to be that guy, but Duce won his super bowl as a player while playing for the steelers. I knew somethin was off because before 2017 the eagles hadnt won a title in like a billion years.
I was gonna be that guy if you were not that guy, so thanks.

I like the experience being brought in but it honestly doesn’t mean a ton if they aren’t on the same page and competent. Time will tell if all this experience pays dividends.

I personally am rooting for Fields but he’s shown nothing to indicate he’s worth a top 10 pick.

Brissett makes the most sense.

IMO, Brady is going to be very cringy at this job.
Yeah I feel like you can’t be the GOAT and an announcer. He can’t help it but fans will hate him.

Are we in a spot to trade up in the draft, which would probably be similar to what it would take for Lamar? I’m not saying we get him (I’d love it though) but I’ve seen lots of ppl have no issues trading up for an unknown rather than what’s known. Both aren’t ideal, but getting an mvp at qb would be much better than trading assets for a rookie.
Of all the options I think trading up for a rookie is the most reasonable. I still would rather not do it but you can’t fault them if they think that’s the way forward.
Trading draft picks for a current QB making tens of millions that might not even work out is a bad bad bad idea. No guarantee Rogers or Jackson would be good here.

They traded up too soon, we have too much time on our hands now. All we can do is overthink!
