Speaking of that I can’t believe the Cardinals tried a 68 yarder at sea level lol

O line is bad but that was a great stunt too. Can’t win em all.

There’s this weird thing that huddlers do where they think a prospect would look the exact same under a different system. I can’t stress enough how bad that bears coach is. I live around their fans. They HATE him.
We have one of the most qb friendly systems in the league. Fields would not look like this with competent coaching and a system that fits his skill set. He’d still make rookie mistakes and all of that but it wouldn’t be this bad.
it’s also weird that the same posters ragging on fields but also championed the Darnold move who was literally in the same situation fields and Wilson find themselves in. Coaching matters, systems matter. You should know this by how night and day Darnold has looked switching systems and teams.
Also it’s just weird how some posters relish other random players failing. Fields is just a kid and has nothing to do with the Panthers.
Unless it benefits the Panthers I don’t really enjoy watching anyone get destroyed.

This Dallas game will be telling. If we go to their place and win this game this Panthers team is better than I think. I think we lose this one by a few scores.
They lost by 2 to the Bucs and beat the Chargers who just beat KC on the road today. This game will be super tough without CMC
Yeah I’m really interested how they look against philly

Real unpopular opinion. Bring in Cam to take over Goal line work.

so fugging brutal, the worst part of this whole thing to me is the fact the BS interference call was right before this. bad officiating caused him to go back out there - and a freak accident ensued.
Could have just been a matter of time. Can’t be mad at the past!

I found a fantastic post on Reddit about hamstring injuries and average number of games missed.
Strength-Speed 774 points 3 hours ago*
They did a study on 38 NFL hamstring strains
Players missed 2.6 ± 3.1 games. Based on MRI, the hamstring injury involved the biceps femoris long head in 34 cases and the proximal and distal hamstrings in 25 and 22 cases, respectively. When < 50% of the muscle was involved, the average number of games missed was 1.8; if > 75%, then 3.2. Ten players had retraction, missing 5.5 games. By MRI, grade I injuries yielded an average of 1.1 missed games; grade II, 1.7; and grade III, 6.4. Players who missed 0 or 1 game had an MRI score of 8.2; 2 or 3 games, 11.1; and 4 or more games, 13.9.
I can’t trust this until I know what your doctorate is in

Regardless of numbers the Texans were fired up and bringing it last night. We went for it on 4th down against conventional wisdom which really pissed them off I’m sure.

How the fug does Sam still manage to do it with that O-Line?
We don’t pass deep too much right now. It’s all about getting the ball out. We badly need help there. Without dumpoff magic CMC it’s gonna be tough.

haven’t really ever seen evidence of that. These shows just say anything to make you click the article.
If anything his status in the league is amplified by his fantasy value. Everybody knows how good he is.I feel like tons of players are spoken about when their race contrasts to their positional trend. Black Punters/Kickers, black QBs, white DBs etc. If someone is South Asian or Latino it usually comes up too. Always highlighted, never avoided.

I think it just didn't make much of a difference. Sucks for whoever got the sack and their stats though. If we had recovered, we would have challenged for sure I think.
I think teams have authority to award sacks so maybe they can add it regardless of the call.

The fact we had 4 offsides vs. Houston's 0 says it all. I went back and watched the tape and only 2 were arguably offsides, the others might of had a beard hair on the line...lol... In comparison the Texans lined up in the neutral zone a couple times uncalled if we used the same measurement they used for Carolina. Throw in the false start on Daley when he reacted to the defender a good foot into the neutral zone and you get the feeling the NFL was trying to prove a point.
It certainly feels that way, I’m surprised nobody has schemed like Snow has. It’ll be interesting seeing which team figures out how to counter. He’s running Madden micro blitzes like I did when I was 15 lol.

They showed 1 view of the offisides penalty that they called on Burns and I don't see how he was offisdes because to me he wasn't.
Yeah I remember that one. I hope they ask Rhule about it because I have a hard time believing they made the same mistakes again and again. Even a player of Burns’s caliber would have been benched more than likely.

The Horn injury sucks but we need to try to avoid panic signings. We are trying to build sustained success, not a Hurney-esque trove of over-the-hill vets in a quest for "this is our year!"
Trading for Jared Allen was a good move in 2015. I think it’s a great idea.
Horn was contributing and windows are small. A 1 year deal isn’t panicking.

I wouldn’t mind seeing a review of the offsides, I was half asleep during most of the game. Seemed implausible.
our free rushers on D is unlike anything I’ve seen before and I wonder if they came into the game trying to slow them down. Maybe they noticed an uncalled offsides in a previous game.

I saw a video of a Stephen A Smith performing fellatio on a sex doll with Sam Darnold's face on it.
You say all that without a link?

They were 6th in yards allowed and 6th in points allowed. That's not really bending.
A lot of teams hung around or got back into the games while we were up.

Is the Texans rushing defense bad?

I'm excited about this game but huddles overconfidence worry me....
I felt that way before week 1 but the defense has proven itself. We’ll need a lot of turnovers to lose.
I feel like Darnold seems to stare down receivers when he’s on the move so I worry about that being a pick 6 or a tip 6

Put Andre Johnson, Reggie Wayne, Devin Hester and Vince Wilfork in.
We won't be troubling the Hall of Fame again, so do right by the ones that deserve to be in there.
I’ve never been that enamored with Reggie Wayne, just felt like he had it too easy.

Only 2 players in NFL history have more yards from scrimmage than Smitty.
Jerry Rice and Tim Brown.
You mean all purpose yards?
Also surprised nobody has noticed Demarcus Ware on the list. I feel like he’s likely.

The fun stats keep piling up. Funny how that happens when your team is winning!
I looked up how each of those teams did:
2006 Ravens 13-3
2002 Chargers 8-8
2008 Ravens 11-5
2006 Chargers 14-2
2000 Saints 10-6
Pretty nice company! Looks like having a smothering defense at the start of the season makes full season success much more probable.
If this keeps up maybe we can chase the 2000s Ravens hehehe

I think it has to be on Paradis and maybe even Darnold?
Not sure what Paradis was expecting unless he thought they were rushing 3.
