I think a lot of us might have PTSD from the Marty years
I’m glad that we only have to worry about trading down to the 2nd vs almost trading a future #1 overall for Jimmy Clausen ever again

Can’t Rhule out another defensive pick, honestly I’m all about it.

Richie Grant
Asante Samuel Jr
That small school center that impressed at the Sr Bowl
that offensive tackle from northern Iowa
Honestly hope we draft heavy on defense again lol, I just want a part of the team to be strong and reliable. I want a cohesive unit.

We always draft defense high, but rarely have an elite D.
It was elite enough to shut out the Lions! But they were throwing the game to nab Sewell probably

Our offense could use a good defense but man..I thought we might have traded back. Horn is a dawg though
I would think they tried considering the clock ticked down that far

All while playing 3 positions!
Which is pretty wild, Davis looked lost on a better defense in his first game.

Newton and Vick have got to be way up there.

Devine Deablo is physically impressive safety who impressed in the senior bowl so I can see us being all of him in the later rounds etc.
There’s a CB from Boise State that is a legit returner.
a 6’4” CB/Safety from USC Israel Mukuamu
the CB from app state

Hard to believe we like Darnold that much though. I'm sure we want to see who falls to #8.
I don’t even think we like Darnold that much, we’re just in an awkward state. We’re a year away and an 8-8 team regardless of what happens. Better to keep acquiring talent than to take shot on a QB.

It’s a cool idea for sure

One thing I don’t like is how our OC is projected to leave for a HC job next season. So where does that leave Darnold again?
-
I like Jordan Smith in the bottom of the 3rd if we end up having a pick around there

I think you are right. He played RT in college. He might be a better RG than anything. A mauler.
Yeah I’d rather go after the natural LTs and keep Moton at RT unless they think he can really succeed over there.

Wouldnt be mad this at all.
I’ve drank the koolaide this year on the top CBs and O line so I really hope we come away with some top talent there.
I think Jenkins will end up being RT or guard only, and I base that on absolutely nothing

Trading down to the bottom of the 1st seems really appealing, we could really load up on OT or CB this way. I’d love to see us double dip for immediate improvement like they did in 2013 with Star/KK

Still playing around with what a major trade down would look like. Used PFN sim, traded for the Ravens 1st rounders and a future, 2nd rounder used 2nd and future 2nd to trade with jags.

It's Richie Grant in the 2nd.
I think it’s pretty likely, I feel like the senior bowl standouts are almost like the “2nd visit” category from the Gettleman years.

If we drafted a tackle at 8 I honestly wouldn’t mind trading back into the first(using current picks) for some of the last top tier CBs or o line

I went on the PFN draft sim and traded down as much as possible, took whatever the CPU offered.

It’ll be cool to see if Darnold can revive his career.
I’m also glad we didn’t sell the farm for a rookie or Watson.
-
I’d want a new QB but I’d much rather have BPA over BQBA.
really don’t want to be an org that just cycles through QBs but it’s hard to see how the team could rally around TB.

This kept happening to me every time I did a mock draft. I kept drafting Horn and Samuel Jr, then I really loved Jordan Smith or Nick Bolton in the 3rd. Around the 4th you could try to nab Devine Deablo or this safety from LSU as Kam Chancellor type.
Maybe Monty Rice in the 5th? The small safety from TCU? He seems like a beast.
I think Spencer Brown or one of the centers could be a good pick in the 2nd
