The absolute cognitive dissonance the sports media has with Cam infuriates me to no end. Absolutely embarassing to even mention Kaep when Cam Newton's on the field success has shown so much more than he ever had.

The same sports media that claims Cam Newton isn't a pocket passer - despite a large majority of his snaps being in the pocket! - and then saying bullpoo like this.

Cam created a new paradigm on defense that accounted for running QBs, and was an absolute beast in every way.

Shame on the media for bringing down one of the most polarizing and talented QBs of this generation.

I always thought Kap would have gone deep to the playoffs more often, I’m surprised he seemed to get figured out. Or maybe it was injuries. I know he got blacklisted too but I kept thinking he was going to win one pretty quickly

I don't give a fug what anybody says, I would STILL take Cam back with open arms right now. Miss that dude so damn much. He brought an energy to Charlotte that will never be replicated.

Yeah I’d be happy to watch us go 6-10 while Cam tries to spam his way to the all time rush TD record lol. Prob wouldn’t get there but it would be fun.

I sort of wished we just played Armanti Edward’s in 2010, even if it sucked he would have been fun

  3. I’m surprised at the ire expressed at Burns here. He needs to look out for himself and make as much as he can. It doesn’t matter if he earned it or not, he is worth what teams are willing to pay. He’s 100% right that there is no way he’s the #1 priority when we don’t have a coach or a GM yet.

We bungled the deal entirely by not extending him sooner or trading him.

Except his throws look like that in good weather too, as I said. And who said I'm not happy? As I've said time and time again, recognizing the objective reality doesn't equate to unhappiness. The offense played like absolute ass for nearly the entire game, Bryce looked pathetic until he quacked him a few throws to inexplicably wide open receivers on the final drive (great catch by Chark), and thanks to Ridder being the biggest bonehead of the days Carolina pulled one out.

A W in the column, same story on the field just with an opponent who was even more inept today. Ultimately though, makes no difference to me.

I definitely agree about his passes in good weather too it’s just hard to compare.

I don’t understand how his arm has looked this weak this year compared to college. I can’t see how the velocity you can put on the ball could change this much. It’s hard to feel optimistic about him long term if his shoulder is this weak as a young man coming from a college with NFL caliber(maybe better) training staff.

Not sure I would even call them 'good' on the whole. It was one of the best drives for sure but damn did those balls travel slowly. The reads were good and I'd be more inclined to give leeway for the weather of his throws didn't look like that when it was dry too. His arm is just not good at this point.

Yeah maybe it was the wind/rain but those passes looked awful. The only one that looked anything like a deliberate NFL caliber throw was the amazing catch by Chark

  6. I definitely don’t mean to be cynical but betting on someone to have a Peyton Manning brain to overcome their physical limitations was a terrible idea.

Bad teams simply don’t make good quarterbacks look THIS bad. He just seems like everything is a little too much for him at this level.

I mean, it kind of makes sense, in the sense that 2024 is owned by them anyway.

You give a much cleaner and fairer slate to any new regime coming in in 2025 doing it this way.

If you bring in a new team for next year they burn one of their years cleaning up the mess made by someone else, which reduces your competitiveness for candidates for that reason but also because it makes Tepper look impulsive

Yeah the 2010 tear down wasn’t perfect but it made it a lot easier for Rivera to put his stamp on things.

I just wish we didn’t give away so many contracts after that but that was Hurney for yah.

Also I think Richardson was more concerned with prepping for the lockout rather than tanking for a pick.

With all due respect, I find this to be a little goofy if I'm right about where this is headed.  I hate to be that person and I'm embarrassed about the Panthers too but its just sports... more important things in the world to march the streets about, assuming that is what they are meaning.  And marching the streets to get people fired seems a little insensitive.

The best way to show the Panthers our displeasure is to just stop attending games.

I think people need to be prepared for him to move the team too.

If you're going to kick a field goal,  you run a play for 5.  That garbage was inexcusable

Also don’t take a TO either. I don’t know why you choose such a low percentage FG with only two TOs

i wish Bryce didn’t take the deep shot or throw the almost INT but yeah I’d rather just ride or die for the 4th and 10 than try a 59 yarder.
