I didn’t think it was that bad other than the route running and execution.
feels like the pass protection and run game was decent. Sanders was underwhelming though.
Not concerned about the INTs

He's about to be paid like he does. Might as well accept it and stop hating on our best player.
Kind of reminds me when we overpaid for Charles Johnson. Seemed like it was better to have him than not even at a premium.

For 23M, he better get 15 sacks and not get taken out of the game on run plays by tight ends.
I think the problem is that he definitely will which is why I was ok with trading him. I feel like big money should go to 3 down players or at least they need to load up on the D Line to keep him effective.

I mean, I get him wanting money, but he made a point to say during training camp he’s showing up to practice. What changed?
I think all sides try to be politically correct but when it comes down to brass tacks Burns is on the precise of generational wealth and needs to look out for himself.
I can see why the team didn’t trade him to attract a new head coach, but I feel like willingly gave up leverage so I’m surprised they aren’t paying Burns.
Even though the Patriots don’t draft well I really like their policy of trading the guys they can’t pay before their 1st contract. Keeps everyone happy.

Who said he was the number 1 rw? This team has a different no.1 target on every play.
I’m not trying to sound snarky but I feel like this is always code for having crappy receivers.
I don’t mean it as a criticism of the FO as you can only do so much in an offseason. But it does feel like Theilen will be Young’s favorite target so far.

Hardy was a highly touted prospect who dropped due off the field stuff in the draft. He also showed a lot of progress his first two years.
YGM hasn’t been effective, I’m not sure why anyone would consider him primed to breakout? Especially just based on stats. That’s asinine.

Regardless of how Corral turns out I’m glad the staff gave him a chance to put a lot of film out there. I feel like it will help with UDFA recruiting next year(I hope).

I feel like the stadium culture is just not all that cohesive. People are so quiet and bored.
I hate whoever that fan hype man is. Just feels like a random radio jockey vs more organic fan of the team.
The PA in the lower level is way too loud.
i wish the stadium had better public transit access.

So ... what you're saying is that you're perfectly fine driving a 2003 Lexus?
I can’t tell if you are knocking or praising that era of Lexus but those LS sedans have a cult following for reliability and quality.

I'm starting to miss the day is when people waited until the first quarter of game one before they started freaking out
I go further than that, honestly.
Realistically speaking, you don't know how good (or bad) your team actually is until about midseason. And in the case of a restart with a new coach, sometimes even later.
But of course, you're always gonna have those people who want to say they called it first
I perfectly content to watch a new squad take their lumps during a 2-3 year period while the coach settles in.
Something about this team just looks plain lackadaisical and I sure hope it’s on purpose.

The team looked like ass and went 1-3 in preseason Cams rookie year. First game of the season Cam lit it up. It’s preseason you dopes….We will be better than the last 4 years I can promise you that. No we are not a superbowl team, but I promise that by the end of the season we feel better about the direction of our teams future than we have felt in a very long time
I feel like I’ve seen this everywhere around the internet, but the 2011 strike year seemed to be very friendly to passing offenses.
-
In my experience when the team looks bad in the preseason they look bad in the regular. I haven’t really seen enough individual efforts from guys to look excited.
Right now they look pretty bad. I’d be surprised if they look much better in the regular season.
I’m fine giving coaching 2-3 years to hit their stride but I expected a better preseason outing. Not really pessimistic about the team but I feel a little iffy.

Other Interesting Tidbits:
- Nolen Smith was a player we were watching to pair with Burns in the draft for 39th until he went 30th
- Stephen Sullivan is really pushing Tremble for TE3
How is Thomas firmly TE2

Hopefully just bad cramps

In all my years every time we suck in the preseason we suck in the regular season.
IIRC we looked good in preseason 2006 but totally sucked in the regular season. That was the biggest surprise I think.
I think they need to look invigorated and make some progress week over week. Mistakes are fine but I’d like to see them look motivated and make some plays.

Man I remember that preseason game versus Baltimore before the 2015 (I think?) run. Luke Kuechly you absolute monster you.
That was 2013

RBs don’t need preseason anyway, bubble wrap till the season

Pepperidge Farm remembers. The Dolphin beat writers were clowning us and saying they had to take it easy on us b/c we couldn't hang...
Big market bias is real, but none of that matters come the regular season.
Everyone was mad about the field too

Yeah seems like he’s petering out like a lot of 6th rounders do. NBD, happy he got to play some.
I wish we took that huge OT on the 3rd day this year.

This guy has been on an impressive amount of practice squads. I hope he’s saving his money! Maybe he’ll finally break through.

First season for me that I'll support the Panthers with my money in some time.
Very long time.
I'm hoping to spend more time watching them this year, I honestly missed more games/quarters on TV over the past 3 seasons than in the previous 15 years prior combined.
It’s a lot nicer to mow the lawn or go for a walk and check the score routinely than be a die hard fan. I can never break away from my fandom but I’ve learned to have balance.
