  1. Tepper is going to give Watson stake in the team, haha. Also, most likely hand him a hedge, and buy him a business he can have for when he retires.
  2. and their center. Im trying to understand why Watson would want to go there after all of those options offered. They would have to build an oline from scratch... deplete their dline... still be broke.
  3. i dont think it is the matter of worried about Watson and panthers, but the fact its the only thing that could go wrong in the best offer on the table.
  4. @Vergeyoud expect at this point all parties want to have a trade done by start of FA right? So do you think there is urgency in this decision process?
  5. They can’t afford Watson. They are actually working on acquiring different. Not sure who though, maybe cousins or jimmy g.
  6. The risk, percentage-wise, of retearing the ACL is about 5%, which puts you at about even with the other knee. - Dr. William Sterett
  7. Its really a non issue. its been almost 5 years since that tear. Comparing his ACL injury is the same as comparing TB12's. They happened, they healed, they are well now.
  8. So a rookie with a rookie with a horrible offensive line... still did better than TMJ on our roster. The bottom line is that TMJ isnt see as a valuable piece in a trade, he wont be in the deal unless there is 5-6 players invovled. Id move on from this concept.
  9. https://texanswire.usatoday.com/2022/03/13/panthers-package-texans-deshaun-watson-rare-opportunity/
  10. Which position? Chinn is a positionless player on our defense as we have learned the last two years.
  11. you can argue that all you want, but the stats wont support your argument. Nico had twice the amount of production with 1/3 of the game time TMJ had. Conley is a vet now and who is becoming an established deep threat. TMJ means nothing to the Texans.
  12. Texans have Nico Colins, Chris Conley, and Brandin Cooks. They arent looking for WRs
  13. I wonder if when the texans get to that final moment where they are going to accept a deal, that they pickup the phone and let Tepper know, he has one last chance. @ellis
  14. Texans, Seahawks, and Saints forums/r's all have said the same thing "Panthers have better assets, they will win this deal" I guess people do see our rosters as talented outside of this circle. Maybe Watson and his Agent see it too.
  15. If we are trading only defensive players away. Watson would have to be licking his chops with the young offensive roster we have here.
  16. This at least imforms us that trading Wilson to get to Watson, was not SEA's orignal plan. ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports that the Seahawks did not consider Drew Lock a "throw-in" in the Russell Wilson trade. "There's a belief among some with Seattle that Lock's issues in Denver were a byproduct of a revolving door of offensive coordinators and a defensive-minded head coach," notes Fowler. Lock is a "viable fallback option," in Seattle's eyes. His three years in Denver strongly suggest the opposite, but with only Jacob Eason on the roster behind him and a fairly weak quarterback draft class, Lock very well could get another trial with the Seahawks.
  17. Are you thinking you could get a first for Brandin Cooks, but not DJ Moore? I find that hard to believe.
  18. @Verge any foundations to this guess? or just completely out of thin air?
  19. Ripped of our defense to shreds, but damn keeping our offense intact, and getting money from Darnold in the deal lets us go after an OL. Pros: Keep our future seconds get a 4th this year Open up salary to be active in FA still Cons: We lose two young defensive athletes and 3 years of first round picks
  20. all that is a problem for a franchise with no money for 2022 and 2023... We can't say all that like that isnt a problem for a franchise. Saints are on a downward slope. and I am sure we can both agree not having Payton is only going to pile on.
