Jets-Bengals flexed to Sunday night

Another crazy Sunday hasn't exactly cleared up the AFC playoff picture.

Five teams are tied at 8-7, and there is still a chance, however remote, there could an eight-way tie at 8-8 after Week Seventeen.

This much we know: The Jets and Ravens are in the playoffs with victories next week.

After getting a huge assist from the Colts coach Bill Polian Jim Caldwell, the Jets need a home win over the Bengals to advance. Cincinnati can't get a bye, so they don't have a lot to play for. (They are currently the fourth seed and could move up to third.)

Despite Sunday's crushing loss to Pittsburgh, the Ravens just need to win in Oakland to make the playoffs. Of course, that wasn't so easy this year for the Eagles, Bengals, and Steelers.

ideally, I think Cincy would love another shot at SD: same for NE with Indy (in divsionals), so I think the Pats may be more likely to rest ... but if NE wins, then Cincy may rest. I'd like to see the Jets and Houston make it.

After messing around with Yahoo's playoff scenario generator - there's a scenario where all 4 Wild Cards could be rematches of Week 17 games

If the Vikes stay @ 2 in the NFC then the NFC games will be locked unless DAL beats PHI and ARI-GB tie or ARI beats GB and DAL-PHI ends in a tie.

In the AFC if the Jets and Texans win, and the Ravens and Broncos lose or tie - then the Wild Card games will be HOU-NE and NYJ-CIN.

Maybe they should've flexed DAL-PHI (and flexed out of DAL-WAS last week).

Eagles control their destiny for the 2 ...

should Dallas win, then Minnesota would be next in line for the 2 with a win, then Arizona, but if they both lose then it would be the Cowboys @ 2.
