He was there for the App State game I thought? Watching their line of 5 stars get destroyed time and time again may be the pinnacle of my experience as a college football fan solely because it is set up to never happen again. It’s a shame. that said, this guy doesn’t have what you want at 8. If we were picking 29th, I’d say go for it.

REPORT: Panthers met with WR Hunter Renfro
CPcavedweller replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Restrepo is going to make a lot of draft experts look stupid. Mark my words on that one. with Josh McDaniels back in New England, it’s a near certainty he goes there, catches 50 passes in the regular season and then another 50 in the playoffs because Edelnut mystique. Restrepo was made for the Patriots with McDaniels there. -
NFL.com's Chad Reuter's 4-round mock draft

So a linebacker? An end rusher? We need an expert pass rusher, not just another guy. We need defensive linemen. Any time we have been worth a crap, we have had great interior line play. Trade down to 10, draft Tyler Warren. Then you can go defense the next two picks because you just got one of the best receivers and the best tight end in the draft without reaching for yet another wide out. -
If we only get to 6 wins in Bryce's third year, he may be on the way out. As far as rookie contracts go, this is where you expect to finally be able to compete. The team trading so much to get him hurt this process, so it isn't necessarily on Bryce, but it is on him and the coaches to maximize his ability to make the loss of draft capital a positive in the win column; to this point, it hasn't been.

Journalism is dead. That much is for sure. People go to school to learn about journalism, then write on other topics, which seems backwards to me; or at least they used to write. now they enter their prompt into algorithmic coding bot ChatGPT and get an article. AI does not exist, by the traditional definition. Defintion was changed a few years ago to market to businesses and eventually consumers. It's just algorithmic coding.

That's not addition by subtraction. That's girl math.

If you draft Warren then you get one of the best receivers in the draft. Two problems addressed with one pick. -

Warren is BPA and we are devoid of talent in a lot of places, not just defense. Reaching for need at 8 is a horrible policy. Draft Warren. Take Skattebo in the 4th. Everyone else can be defensive picks. I want to see Tyler Warren and Cam Skattebo line up to run the Panther Prowl from the 1 yard line, with no one able to stop it, ever. -
No court case until he signs, then it’s lawsuit time, commissioners list, etc. Lawyers likely now have an SOP for this.

Brown was hurt. That’s sort of the crux of the collapse of the line. -
REPORT: Panthers like Mykel Williams
CPcavedweller replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
We shouldn’t go for need at that spot. Good teams become good teams by drafting the best players. You can build around the best. the Lions had a run of years selecting WR after WR. They had great receivers, but still couldn’t win. You dig a talent hole by drafting for need. This is still why I think drafting Young was a bad idea. could have brought in the new coaching staff with Darnold and I can imagine we would have been better off than we are now just keeping that pick and our future picks. Point being, draft the best. Trade up rarely. -

Tyler Warren... If you have this many questions about pass rushers in the 1st round, none are worth it. Go with the sure thing. Help your young QB. -

Tyler Warren may look like Hockenson, but he is quite a bit more polished and fluid of an athlete. -
If we draft Tyler Warren then we get one of the best receivers in the draft and the best tight end.

Of course we are drafting Warren and Skattebo. -

He would take Jeanty because when you have one running back who is getting paid, you need another. I want Warren though. That’s doubling up on one pick because you get a receiver and a tight end. -
Perpetually injured? He was injured just in 2024.

Safeties don’t change games. Corners don’t change games. Wide receiver is a maybe but if you take Warren you get a 6’6 250 lb receiver. warren is BPA. You don’t reach for need in the Top 10. -
I watched a lot of Bills games with my father in law. Martins numbers are down because he didn’t have to punt a lot and when he did he was usually punting into a small box. The Bills rarely go three and out which means he likely usually punted from the 40 or more.

The front 7 isn’t bad. We need to draft Tyler Warren. that’s my takeaway. -
From App State, where I grew up going to games, watching him punt. Watching Armani dart around and making eventually making Chad Henne look silly, and forcing Michigan to hire Rich Rod in an effort to cash in on the spread option offense. The change in AP Poll rules allowing FCS teams to get votes in the FBS Top 25. It’s always big to see someone local on the Panthers, but apparently only Tar Holes and Game Hens get to be homers about it. Sam Martin is a great NFL punter as well. He’s not Hekker but he’s very, very good.
