I know most people here are sold on BY after those few decent games he had.

    I am not

This year he has weapons, he has an oline, he has a good play caller, so this really is make or break year imo

I’m sure as hell not. He needs to make MASSIVE strides this year.

Like bruh, getcha poo together. Once you leak texts between your wife and another man about how he was rearranging her IUD you absolutely cannot try to come crawling back. I'm suffering deep second hand embarrassment from even reading that poo. LOL

This is truth right here. My wife cheats on me and some crazy sex texts go public I’m gonna just sell my house take my half and try to quietly get the fug up on out of there as fast as my divorce lawyer will let me!

Not sure I'd want to be the "Ryan Mallett" of anything 😄

It’s certainly not my shining moment. But I still made it. Running the Sacramento marathon in December and hope to have a more Jake Delhomme-level of stardom there. The Everyman that overcomes obstacles to almost reach the pinnacle of success only to have it taken away by Adam Vinateri.

This. Both were dumb and disrespectful of the pre-draft process in different ways. You're going on job interviews for potentially massive multi-million dollar gigs. Don't go out and get hammered the night before and if they send you a sampling of the playbook put in some time to get to know it.

The first time I ran a half marathon I didn’t train and the marathon was on a Sunday morning. We always partied on Friday nights but I told myself not this time I need to be fresh. Well I partied anyway and didn’t sleep Friday night and spent Saturday hungover with a very stuffy nose. Rallied Sunday morning and finished the half in 2:35. Not my best showing. So today I learned I’m like the Ryan Mallett of marathon runners.

    Score.

serious question...does OG stand for old guy?

In incarcerated terms OG is Original Gangster, but is a euphemism and term of respect for Old Guys. So when you are locked up and a new guy comes in with his towel and bedroll into your unit that looks 40+ or so you say what’s up OG? It’s kind of a term of respect and acknowledging he is not a young blood.

This place didn’t use to be just a message board though, back in the day several huddlers would actually get together and tailgate at the games.  Several huddlers know each other through those and we all shared one passion, the Panthers.  Nothing else mattered.  That all changed in this new world we live in.

Met several people from here at the Super Bowl pre-party in SF before SB50. Roaring Riot basically started here as a fledgling little tailgate. I’m sure Jeremy is just busy with life and Lord knows I know that poo happens, but this place still rocks and I’m grateful to him for it.

"toxicity" meaning we didn't use mod powers to create a personal echo chamber for them.

Sure seems this place is overall considerably less toxic after most of the people whining about people having the audacity to express football opinions on a forum built to discuss football up and left. I hope they're happy at their Discord. They wanted an echo chamber and they made themselves one. It worked out best for everyone.

Yeah I’d say we are very lenient on the side of free discussion on this site without getting heavy handed in the moderation.

I think what he is saying is that we went from mediocre to joke status--a virtual bottom feeder. Sure, we've never been a top tier team on a consistent basis, but we went to the Bowl twice (under JR). Tepper made some bad decisions, but, perhaps unlike others, I absolutely know that it takes time to figure things out, and it has to be super difficult to be a "boss" in one business, and then going through the process and realizing that you are a virtual greenhorn in another.

At least we seem to be headed in the right direction. We'll see come this fall.

Exactly. And I hope we are headed in the right direction and Tepper seems to be less hands-on and in your face but I don’t work for the organization so I wouldn’t know. I just hate this recency bias of some glory years that never existed. Yes we suck now. But we have always sucked.

What the fug are you talking about? Yeah we weren’t a prestigious organization or anything but year after year for 20 years, outside of two seasons, we had a competitive team and were worth watching. Say what you want about JRich but we were far from a joke under his watch.

And how many back to back winning seasons did we have? What was the teams lifetime winning percentage? I’d wager around .500 at best.

I will love the Panthers forever no matter what but that is literally the definition of mediocrity bud.

Does anyone else immediately stop watching the draft videos when Tepper pops on the screen to talk to the draft pick?  I just get repulsed now at the sight of him and the sound of his voice.

I don’t mind him. He’s definitely villainized around here but honestly if you just accept that this organization was a fuging joke lonnnnggggg before he bought it and will be lonnnngggg after he is gone, it makes for a much more mellow, pleasurable Sunday viewing experience.

Unless you’re drafting him to be your immediate starter I don’t know what coach/organization would want to deal with the circus Sanders comes with.

Starter has a bad game and you got Deion going off about his kid should be starting blah blah blah.

Just seems like a massive headache. And if it’s true that his interviews went horribly then why do you even want him as a backup?

Honestly not that dissimilar from the The Golden Calf of Bristol or Colin Kaepernick situations. When you’re a coach/GM, the QB literally decides how long you keep your job. No one wants a circus and extra unnecessary headaches.

Edit: I love how T!m Teb0w is still edited to the golden calf of Bristol that makes me smile.
