  1. Just stop the run and make Brady drop it in the holes of the zone. If he beats us doing that, then so be it.
  2. Realistically I think he can lose a pound of fat before the Bucs game, but who knows.
  3. I can't really blame the Panthers or Fitt for the CB situation because no team can absorb losing two starting CBs and not dip down into the poop area of their roster. We have to have Norman just because some of our other options who will not be named are teeeeeerrrrrible.
  4. The team dietitian will look to drop that weight the instant the ink is dry on his contract, and the weight should come off quickly. He's certainly not going to be on his own out there or I'll need a few drinks.
  5. Seeing Norman back out there is certainly going to be odd. The good news is Brady can't really through deep as well anymore, so Norman has a better chance of being effective against the Bucs. We still need to give him a safety over the top just in case.
  6. Weight can be lost very quickly. He'll basically be giving a cushion so he doesn't get beaten deep, and come up to make the tackle on shorter passes. That can be effective for a guy who has a long career's worth of experience and is watching the QB carefully.
  7. "Hello.. is this Josh Norman? Yes we need you."
  8. It would be complete madness, after seeing Corral in preseason look like a high school QB, to move forward with just Corral and Sam. Even if we dump Sam we still need to bring in someone who can start now, and possibly a backup other than PJ as well. Basically I want PJ replaced by a younger QB, and Sam possibly replaced with a better veteran QB if one is available. Corral can compete and learn with our other developmental prospect. PJ can go back to the practice squad and be there in case of multiple QB injuries. Over the course of the 2023 season, if Corral looks promising, then we can give him the reigns. If not, then he'll probably end up being a long term backup.
  9. He's not an elite center by any means, so he should accept a reasonable deal that doesn't break the bank. Although he is a bigger center, which I prefer, he's on the slow side, lacking high end athleticism, and doesn't pack the punch you'd hope for his size. He can be signed for a team friendly price. If he were quicker, more athletic, and a bit stronger we'd have to break the bank and he'd be a pro bowler. He's not that.
  10. Will you be sick if he gets something like a 6 year, $120,000,000 contract?
  11. I'm dreading that Fitt is going to hand out a huge contract to Burns. If Fitt thinks Burns is worth more than two 1sts and a second, and that he's a cornerstone foundational player on this team, then Burns' agent is going to use that to break us. This upcoming contract is going to be outrageous, and Fitt is out of his fugging mind.
  12. Some fans are very accepting of losses and like to look to things going better in the next game. We'll get em' next time, so what's for dinner honey? They live their lives in an optimistic way and let failure go quickly. Other fans become angry or at least negative and critical after a loss. They're not just going to let it go right away, but rather they're going to think about what went wrong and start blaming players and coaches. You reading this are either type 1 or 2, or you're somewhere in between type 1 and 2, and that's a good thing. Imagine how weird it would be if the entire fan base was in a good mood all the time and never had much of anything negative or critical to say after losing. Or imagine if the entire fan base came on here after every loss and just ripped any player or coach who they thought had it coming, and that's all the forum was every day. It's good to have a mixture so that things don't become to negative or positive.
  13. You should have seen my posts in the trade deadline thread. I went crazy screaming for them to take the trade. I still can't believe Fitt blew it, but was fine with the CMC trade. Mind boggling.
  14. To sum it up, we both played small ball and the Steelers won in the trenches. We lost the trench warfare, and that's all we really have to rely on. Game over.
  15. Wilks would be an extension of RR but minus prime Cam Newton.
  16. He brought us a bad coach, poop GM, and we've had nothing but bad QBs and coordinators. Thanks Tepp. Go goose your wife again for me.
  17. Poor man's Ron Rviera is not turning this disaster around.
  18. And the Steelers get in more trash talk and standing over our players. Team is weak.
