  1. Some fans are very accepting of losses and like to look to things going better in the next game. We'll get em' next time, so what's for dinner honey? They live their lives in an optimistic way and let failure go quickly. Other fans become angry or at least negative and critical after a loss. They're not just going to let it go right away, but rather they're going to think about what went wrong and start blaming players and coaches. You reading this are either type 1 or 2, or you're somewhere in between type 1 and 2, and that's a good thing. Imagine how weird it would be if the entire fan base was in a good mood all the time and never had much of anything negative or critical to say after losing. Or imagine if the entire fan base came on here after every loss and just ripped any player or coach who they thought had it coming, and that's all the forum was every day. It's good to have a mixture so that things don't become to negative or positive.
  2. You should have seen my posts in the trade deadline thread. I went crazy screaming for them to take the trade. I still can't believe Fitt blew it, but was fine with the CMC trade. Mind boggling.
  3. To sum it up, we both played small ball and the Steelers won in the trenches. We lost the trench warfare, and that's all we really have to rely on. Game over.
  4. Wilks would be an extension of RR but minus prime Cam Newton.
  5. He brought us a bad coach, poop GM, and we've had nothing but bad QBs and coordinators. Thanks Tepp. Go goose your wife again for me.
  6. Poor man's Ron Rviera is not turning this disaster around.
  7. And the Steelers get in more trash talk and standing over our players. Team is weak.
  8. Season over. Thanks Burns, Macadope, Rhule ect... for a totally clueless and pointless mess.
  9. I was hoping Mitch would poop the bed like the other thousand times he has.
  10. Oh Wilks is so gone. Look at this bad play calling. He's out, and so are both coordinators obviously.
  11. One of the most frustrating things about this game is that the Steelers don't normally play this perfectly.
  12. No mega deals for these defensive players. Get on the phone with the Rams when trading resumes and get rid of useless Burns.
  13. Our defensive players got bullied, then verbally made fun of and harassed to the point of multiple 15 yard penalties, AND the Steelers came back out and stomped them down again and again. Do not give these guys mega contracts ESPECIALLY do nothing Burns. Should have traded his ass for those high firsts.
  14. We need a new OC and DC. These guys are done here. And no way we pay Burns a mega deal. He's been totally useless when it counts in these type of games. No way.
  15. I've never heard an announcer mess up this many of our names. He even called Mitch Darnold.
  16. Foreman doesn't have any kind of rare ability as a RB, and sometimes he misses wide open holes. He is a nice blend of strength and speed, but so are a great many of the RBs in the later round of the upcoming draft. Many RBs similar or better than Foreman will be floating around in free agency as well. Resigning Foreman comes down to what kind of money he wants. Will he play for vet minimum or a little more? Ok fine. Does he want a long term contract with 7 figure years, then hell no. No way should he get that kind of money. If it were me I would get rid of all our RBs and start over with new vets and or draft picks. Let's see if we can find a hidden gem, and make sure we keep our RBs young, fresh, and cheap. Our blueprint should be to cycle through RBs quickly in order to save money. There are a great many RBs who would run very well behind our o-line, so we don't need a superstar. Just go get a jag who is decent at everything and don't resign him unless he'll take a cheap deal. On our team I want young and cheap RBs and LBs. They get beaten to hell and they don't have rare body types, so you can cycle through them and easily and always find replacements. The people you pay the big money and lock up long term are rare body types with rare talent. Find a guy who is 6'6 and 300 plus pounds and can pass block pro DEs is very rare so lock them up. A guy like Foreman is not rare at all by comparison.
  17. We have already selected a later round QB in Corral, and I don't want to try and develop two QBs at the same time. Focus on Corral for now so he gets the reps, and let him have his shot next season as the starter, with Sam or whomever as the vet backup. Corral has already been learning this season, and it's time to roll next season. If he flops, then that is more ammo to get rid of Fitt for another lost season. If he plays we'll, then we didn't need to spend that 2023 later round QB pick, and Fitt was right about Corral. If Fitt was wrong about Corral, then what would make anyone think Fitt will be right about another later round QB selection? These picks are extremely valuable and we already spent one on Corral. Gong into free agency looking for a QB who will play for a prove it deal is much cheaper. The Mayfield move was actually a good idea because we're not on the hook for anything. Yes he pooped the bed, but we're not harmed by it going into next season. No harm in handing out another $5 million one year deal to a prove it vet. Just DON'T start extending QBs for $18 million that have not played a snap for us, and have proven NOTHING. That is poop brain Fitt's type of thinking.
  18. We already drafted Corral. We start Corral next season and Sam can be the backup if he wants to stay here fro backup money. If Corral is trash, then you have to look at getting rid of FItt, but I already want him gone. You can't find a good QB as GM then you need to be fired. Simple as that. We could also look to free agency to try and find a QB who just needs a fresh start in a new environment, but who would trust Fitt to make that choice? Well we have no choice but to roll with whomever he selects for now.
