Everything you said here is reasonable. Except The issue for Rhule is that he didn’t need to say anything about their draft profile about slater and double down on it when the player was a stud. He should’ve focused on Horn only. Would’ve been much more professional

Pre draft - “Slater doesn’t have ideal size” Season - Slater has one the best rookie OT seasons ever post season interview - “yeh but he doesn’t have ideal size” (doubling down on his incorrect evaluation on the radio as an NFL head coach) see how idiotic that is whether it’s honest or not.

one of the worst coaches with one of the worst OLs - airing out his incorrect evaluation of a pro bowl rookie tackle on air during a radio interview is the height of irony that you 2 can’t wrap your bird brains around

No. It’s just nutty you think Rhule being honest just gives him a pass for the foolishness in that moment. Defending himself for passing on a player in which the player just had an all time great OL rookie campaign. his answer should have been “ we just wanted Horn” saying anything else about Slater and his size being a tweener to him and a mobile QB is just dumb on Rhule’s part

There’s a disconnect in understanding professionalism or lack of during that segment of the interview. Him being “honest” there was a miss and he did himself a dis service I’m also not using a made up scenario where the Detroit head coach is saying after the season his player was a better pick vs a guy who played at an all pro level at the same position. I heard it for myself and have made my own response to it based on what I heard with my own 2 ears He slighted Slater but tried to clean it up in the same breath whether you and WOW want to accept it or not.
