  1. second straight game to overtime. they started hitting again late in the 4th, and we couldn't hit anything unless Melo passed to Trez inside.
  2. Melo and Trez know how to play the game together.
  3. he's been complaining about no calls a lot this season, don't think he's earned it yet in their eyes, and it worries me. a big all star game could get him the respect he deserves.
  4. sometimes changing ends of the court can get a guy out of his zone. we'll see
  5. Hornets lead by 7 at the half, defense got better and Heat's offense cooled down. A win before the break would do this team good.
  6. oh boy, Kelly O is on tonight, 3 straight within 60 seconds, here we go.
  7. Hornets challenged and won, Melo gets two, but with 4 secs left Heat get a basket and lead by 7
  8. Miles has 13 in the first quarter....Hornets got down but clawed back to within 5 at the half if the refs get this call right.
  9. Injury report for tomorrow night is same. All 3 out till after the all star break.
  10. Verge says she believes our options, in preferred order, are 1. Deshaun Watson 2. Jimmy G + LT @ 6 3. Kenny Pickett 4. FA QB (Mariota, ETC) + LT @ 6 She also says they want Darnold out of the building as soon as possible. Jimmy G has a no trade clause in his contract, but it expires in March, interestingly enough
  11. Plumlee is 2 assists away from a triple double....would be the 3rd Hornet this year to do it Hornets up 77-71 in 3rd
  12. wow, Beverly getting the refs for a free tech, after a controversial foul also went against the Hornets, but bugs lead by 6 at the half. wild game so far.
  13. Thor got 3 mins and we were +4 with him in. In his pic he looks skinny, but he looks like he has some meat on those bones. It would be good if he could develop this year.
  14. Thor in early with a block and an assist in 2 minutes
  15. both teams are running basket to basket, maybe their bigs will get tired. Bugs down 19-7.
  16. Rod Boone@rodboone James Borrego said JT Thor "found a way to impact this game and has my full attention right now."
  17. Minnesota tonight, then Miami on Thursday, then the All Star break. Not exactly the ideal last two games before the break. I will enjoy Trez and the energy he brings. Would like to see more Thor as well.
  18. not comfortable with our current backup PG situation. Hornets haven't given any clues about what they're thinking. There has been some talk that the Knicks could buy out Kemba's contract, but there is no guarantee he would accept a backup role. He'd be perfect though, good vet presence, Charlotte loves him, and he has said he loves Charlotte. I thought about Liangelo but he's more suited to shooting guard. Any other options or ideas?
  19. T-Ro messed around and got a triple double, then gets the post game shower
  20. will the bugs keep buzzin tonight? injury report: CHA: Gordon Hayward: out (ankle), Cody Martin: out (left ankle/Achilles soreness), Jalen McDaniels: out (left ankle sprain). MEM: Santi Aldama: questionable (right foot soreness), Dillon Brooks: out (left ankle sprain), Yves Pons: out (left thigh soreness), Killian Tillie: out (back soreness), Xavier Tillman: out (right thigh soreness). The Charlotte Hornets ended a six-game losing streak last night in Detroit, and tonight they have a chance to end a five-game skid at the Spectrum Center against the Memphis Grizzlies. All-Star point guards LaMelo Ball and Ja Morant square off for the second time this season, with the Hornets taking a 118-108 win on Nov. 11. Memphis comes into this one winners of four-straight, averaging a league-leading 130.5 points, 57 rebounds and 30.3 assists per game in that stretch. They’re also second in offense and sixth in defense. The Grizzlies have the third-best winning percentage on the season, but they’ve been especially good in the last few weeks. Steven Adams is scoring the fewest points per game (6.8) since his rookie year, but he’s still Steven Adams. His 9.6 rebounds lead the Grizzlies and a rebounding percentage of 19.3 ranks sixth in the NBA among qualified players. A few days ago, this was a much worse matchup for the Hornets. The addition of Montrezl Harrell shores up some of Charlotte’s interior finishing and rebounding deficiencies, and he’s made an immediate impact. It really seems like Harrell injected the locker room with a burst of energy upon his arrival; former Louisville Cardinals teammate Terry Rozier did promptly record his first triple-double as a Hornet in Harrell’s first game. https://www.atthehive.com/2022/2/12/22930521/preview-rejuvenated-charlotte-hornets-return-home-to-face-memphis-grizzlies?utm_campaign=atthehive&utm_content=chorus&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter
  21. Bugs seem happy.....set a record for points scored. Charlotte Hornets PR@HornetsPR·1m.@hornets are up, 79-55, at DET to set the franchise record for most points in H1. Charlotte's previous record for points in H1 was 77 vs. WAS on 1/17/18.
