  1. Yeah, trying to move the goalposts again by saying that I said that you said he wasn't a first round prospect. You know he's a first round prospect. That's too damned easy. You just like to talk negatively about him like he's not! I think you're chicken poo for not being man enough to admit what you said and the manner in which you said it! It's OK to clarify statements that beg for clarification. It's OK to change or modify your opinion once you gain more facts. What is not OK is to act like you were always on board with Lance when from your statements, you clearly weren't.
  2. Did you not say that you didn't want Lance (full stop)? Did you not say that you hope someone else gets Lance (full stop)? Yes or no?
  3. And you still haven't come up with any alternative of we're stuck out on the cold, which is very possible, especially now that the 49ers decided to give up the farm to move to three. All you're saying is that we should jettison Teddy under any circumstance and "Damn 2021!" If we do damn 2021 (or any year), that could have adverse effects and repercussions for years to come! That's not what winning organizations do. In fact, it's what losing organizations do.
  4. That wasn't in quotes. The "without qualifications" part was a description of what you said and the context in which you said it. You said that "I don't want Lance," or something almost verbatim, and you know you did!
  5. Well, stop with all the pontificating about Fox and Rivera B.S. I'm sure we'll do what we can to move up within reason! If we can't, we're just going to have to hope for the best and grin and bear it! It's all a cost-value analysis. We apparently didn't want to pay what Frisco was willing to pay to move up, and we weren't willing to pay what the Rams were for Stafford. I would say that's probably a good thing. This isn't a one-year process! We have to look towards the future, even in our zeal to move on from Teddy.
  6. You said you didn't want Lance without any qualification, that's what you said. Own up to it!
  7. And, just like I told you earlier, your thought processes that say we should set ourselves up to lose is more akin to any Foxball or Rivera chicken poo era than anything!
  8. Yeah, you moved the goalposts when it became apparent that he is a legit first round prospect. When you said you didn't want him, there weren't any qualifiers. As a matter of fact, you said that you hope someone else takes him.
  9. Who has said Teddy is the answer? That's simply hyperbolic poppycock! Most here are saying that he isn't the answer, but no one has given any definitive solution to who is a better answer right now! There are better answers, but we either have to give up the farm, or roll the dice and hope that some thus far imperfect, middling talent shows better than Teddy did in 2020.
  10. Yeah, he said he didn't want Lance. You've said Mond is a better prospect than Lance. Both of y'all aren't Lance believers!
  11. Exactly. It was a game to game issue!
  12. Yeah, play calling in the red zone was downright sh¡tty sometimes!
  13. I'd rather see what Minshew or Darnold can do, but only at the cost of a third-rounder or later, with the emphasis on "later". It all depends on the market, which has gotten a little crazy as of late. If the market demands something higher (which I can see in the case of Darnold), I'd likely balk.
  14. Exactly! He certainly wasn't as advertised in the ball security department, which is the second biggest reason I want to move on from him.
  15. Yeah, injury. Teddy was always on the... gossamer side! That's an obvious knock, but to suggest that it was anything more than injury is being disingenuous. Teddy had more than one suitor last offseason. I was just miffed that he got a two-year prove-it deal as opposed to the traditional one-year.
  16. All of us would prefer Teddy not be the starter! Don't get it twisted!
  17. Other than his rookie season, this is the only full season he was the starter, so that's not really saying anything. And, backup or not--even if he's considered a higher level one, we still have to have a better option.
  18. It was probably a combination of a QB still trying to get his wings up under him, losing an extremely productive player to injury, and having a super young, inexperienced team, and all this in a pandemic year!
  19. That's not a valid comparison. In fact, I could argue that jettisoning your starting QB because you don't think you can win is a loser's mentality. We're not going to play to lose, period! I want to move on from Teddy as much as the next guy, but setting yourself up to lose is not a realistic option and really never was. It's not the way to handle business!
  20. I'd take Mond...in the third! He is too inconsistent! You can't look like sh¡t in one game and like Warren Moon in another and expect to be taken in the first round! There must be some type of consistency!
  21. I disagree. Your line of reasoning only makes sense if we're destined to get a QB who will obviously be better than Teddy in 2021, OR if we are going to purposefully tank, which is not really a realistic course of action. Until we secure our QB for 2021, Teddy is still on the table!
